This video was carefully matched to the audio from the album using fan footage from the show. 100% a fan creation . they did a really good job in syncing the different sources. Maynard did this alot cross dressing and such. It help him separate himself and channel the role. From all accounts they are all sober when touring. The amount of math to count their songs requires a clear head.
This is essentially Tool's "Echoes" (Pink Floyd). It's everything that makes up Tool all in one song. From beauty to chaos and back again. I've been saying it for years... If Pink Floyd had started in the 90's, instead of the 60's, they would have sounded a lot like Tool. They're both highly representative of there era.
What you said about the 'raw, gritty sound' is exactly why this version of Third Eye is so damn good to me, hits me completely different than the studio version! This version is just nuts!

I am so happy that I am able to travel to Sweden to see Tool live on June 25th in Stocholm. And the next weekend I'll be in Helsinki Finland for the Tuska festival. Mainly to see Opeth, but boy they have some bands there that I am waiting to check out!

its not for everyone but if those off beat/polyrhythms get you it is the best.
regarding the bra:
back in this era, Tool was opening up with "Hooker with a Penis" and Maynard would come out dressed in drag to get his point across... as the show went on, he'd take off most of the costume, but the bra always seemed to remain.
