Only Tool can create one masterpiece and turn it into another. It's mind boggling. Does anyone else feel relieved when this song is over? I mean that in the best fucking way possible but the relief when it's over is so satisfying.
SOOO jealous, you were able to experience this song (usually my favorite Tool track) for the first time. But not just that, but to be able do so in such a controlled and deliberate manner, to actively listen to it, without any other sense distracting you. Maybe boring to watch, but so glad you did it that way.
I've always said, if the members of Pink Floyd had started making music in the 90's, instead of the 60's, they would have come up with something along the lines of Tool. It's a similar concept, but an angstier version that represents the sound, and opinions, of the time.
When I was 18/19 I went to my first Tool show in 98. Pushit was already my favorite song by them and this version did not exist as a recording. But they played this version and I was absolutely floored. So now at a clean and crisp 45 years of age I can honestly say that the experience changed me. That is all✌️

I've seen many reactions to this version of pushit and you we're the only one that followed the instructions, simply closed your eyes and went on this 13 minute journey. and I am glad you did because every tool fan who hears this song for the first time should hear it this way.
