Hello enjoyed the video my boyfriend bought me this cricuit I'm a beginner never had one. This video was helpful but I do have a question what kind of laptop do I have to have to set it up or can I set it up with my android phone? Please help

Hi JC, You would need a printer to print greeting cards, stickers, or even magnets as I demonstrate in the video linked below. You need a Cricut to cut out the greeting cards, stickers or magnets. If you intend to make shirts, you’ll need a Cricut machine to cut the material to go on your shirt. ruclips.net/video/cSKjq8Nx69I/видео.html

I had a question please so your old circuit machine will you still use for certain things . Because I am going to buy the one you unboxed now I am new to this so would it be all I need ?
Hello, I use both machines mostly when I’m creating bulk orders of shirts, confetti, etc. The process moves much faster when I have both machines going at the same time.
I just bought a Maker 3 still partway through unboxing. I noticed on your test cut you cut the corner of the vinyl out. Will the machine somehow know that a part is missing when you load it back in and then print over on the other end? are all 4 sides of the vinyl same size so you can just do a quarter turn on the piece you used to then have a full length side loaded in for the next print. Hope my questions made sense. Feels like a lot to learn for a newbie like me.
Hello, That’s a great question. In Cricut Design Space you get to choose where you want your design to be cut. Because I cut the top left part of the vinyl, I could add another design anywhere else on the vinyl to be cut. You could also remove the vinyl from the mat and rotate it 90 degrees so you could cut it in the top left again. I hope that all makes sense. You can sign up to my Free Resouce Library to get free SVG files and Cricut tips, hacks and tricks: insideoutlined.com/library/

Nice video however did you need a printer for this project or did you just use the design space? Also if not what types of project do you need a printer for?
Hello! You only need a printer if you want to use the print then cut feature of Cricut Design Space to print greeting cards, shirts, etc. Watch this video to see how I used the print then cut feature to make an Encanto shirt ruclips.net/video/FDmCXfjCSJc/видео.html
I have the same machine and I don’t no wat to do or how to print my own stickers. I understand everything you did with the set up but if i was ti buy Avery paper to print my stickers how do i do that
I love my Cricut Maker 3. I love the variety of materials it can cut and all the projects I can make with my machine. Check out the latest Cricut deals here: cricut.pxf.io/15BNDa
Hello, Yes, I recommend keeping any vinyl that you did not cut. You basically have to let your Cricut know where the material is on the mat by placing your design wherever you want it on the mat before cutting it. I hope that helps. Byrd
I have the explore air 2 and now the cricut maker 3. Can you please let me know, is the cricut maker 3 just an updated version of explore air 2? Can the maker 3 do all that air 2 does but more / better? I want to know so that i can decide if i dont need both and will sell the explore 2 and just keep the maker 3. Please reply! Thank you so much for your help ❤
That sounds great Liyana. I keep both machines because when I’m making large orders of tshirts or other projects, it’s quicker to use both machines than to just wait for one to finish.
This is the first video of yours I’ve watched (excellent job btw), so don’t know if you’re a sewer. Have you ever used this machine to aid in making quilts? Seriously considering upgrading to the Maker 3 after watching this.
Hello, You can use the link below to purchase a Cricut Maker 3. cricut.pxf.io/kjYL5V You won't need the heat press unless you intend to make shirts and other items that require heat to adhere the heat transfer vinyl to different materials.
Hi Jill, I’m assuming you have a Cricut Explore Air 2 and a Cricut Maker 3. In Cricut Design Space, open a new project and go to the Canvas. In the top right corner next to “My Stuff” and beside the “Make” button, you should see the Cricut machine that’s currently connected to Cricut Design Space. Click on that machine name and choose the Cricut machine you want to use.
Hello. I just bought the cricut maker 3. I tested with the piece of smart vinyl that it came with but I found that the cut wasn't strong enough so when I tried to peel the vinyl the design came off. I tried changing the pressure to more but that still didn't work. I increased the pressure to 300 with no multiple cuts and it still didnt cut all the way through. Did you have this issue? I tried cut with 3x cuts and it worked but i don't think vinyl is supposed to require so much pressure ot multiple cuts. It's a brand new machine, so the blade has not been used before.
Hi Christine, I did not have an issue cutting my Smart Vinyl with my Maker 3. If you’re finding that the Smart Vinyl requires more pressure, you can update the current material or create a “new material” so that every time you cut the Smart Vinyl, your machine automatically applies more pressure and multiple cuts. Use this link to update or create a new material: help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009383274-How-do-I-use-or-create-a-Custom-material-setting-#:~:text=Select%20the%20app%20menu%2C%20then,wish%20to%20delete%20the%20setting. Thanks, Byrd
Hello, According to the Cricut website, they only sell directly to customers in South Africa. cricut.com/en-us/country-selector I would recommend searching on Amazon or Swing Design to see if you can purchase a machine in Nigeria.
Hi Mitzi, I have 2 Cricut machines for large orders such as large orders of shirts. It saves time to be able to have 2 machines cutting at the same time.
@@lindyberrios8820 Hi Lindy! You only need a printer if you want to use the print then cut feature of Cricut Design Space to print greeting cards, shirts, etc. Watch this video to see how I used the print then cut feature to make magnets. studio.ruclips.net/user/videocSKjq8Nx69I/edit
I made the BIGGEST MESS. Did not know that the mats have different GRIPS in terms of stickiness. I put cardstock on STRONG GRIP and I have been trying for the last 25 minutes to get the cardstock off the mat.....super frustrated to even complete the project. The thing I cut...has ripped and ughhhhh. - wish I had known about the GRIP....if anyone reads this, do not make the same mistake. The Strong grip is really really really strong. Cardstock should not go on the strong grip mat.
Hi Kimberley, I'm sorry you had that experience with the strong grip mat. It can be very frustrating to mess up a project, I've been there many times before. I personally don't own any strong grip mats because I primarily cut cardstock and stickers. Thank you for sharing your experience and please don't be discouraged from crafting, it's part of the journey to learning your machine.

Yes, you can use cardstock with the Cricut Maker 3. I typically use 65 lb and 110 lb.
@@InsideOutlined Ty very much for responding, is that. Is the 65 lb - 110 lb paper card stock good for card making?
Yes, I recommend the 65 lb cardstock for card making.
@@InsideOutlined Ty!❤️
You’re welcome! 🥰
I have the same machine and I don’t no wat to do or how to print my own stickers. I understand everything you did with the set up but if i was ti buy Avery paper to print my stickers how do i do that
Hi Shaakira,
Here’s a video where I use the Avery paper to make stickers: ruclips.net/video/wNEmc0N4JxM/видео.html
Also, you need a printer to print your stickers, and the Cricut will cut them.
I’m thinking about buying Cricut 3. I’ve never used any die cutting machine.
I love my Cricut Maker 3. I love the variety of materials it can cut and all the projects I can make with my machine. Check out the latest Cricut deals here: cricut.pxf.io/15BNDa
When u cut out the vinyl, can u still use what's left that u didn't use? And if so, then how would cricut react to it not being a complete full page?
Hello,
Yes, I recommend keeping any vinyl that you did not cut. You basically have to let your Cricut know where the material is on the mat by placing your design wherever you want it on the mat before cutting it.
I hope that helps.

What else do I need to start crafting besides the cricut and computer. I need a list
The Cricut Maker 3 can do everything the Cricut Explore Air 2 can do plus more.
@InsideOutlined awesome thank you. I shall be selling the air 2. I wondered why you wanted both still? Wouldn't you sell the air 2?
That sounds great Liyana.
I keep both machines because when I’m making large orders of tshirts or other projects, it’s quicker to use both machines than to just wait for one to finish.
@@InsideOutlined yep completely get that.. 😉
You have a beautiful voice BTW and a lively nature 🦋🥰💞✨️
Thank you so much. You’re very kind. 💕🥰
Thank you
Thank you!!
So used that whole piece for that little design? Can you use the rest of material?
Hi James,
Yes, you can use the rest of the material to cut other designs.
This is the first video of yours I’ve watched (excellent job btw), so don’t know if you’re a sewer. Have you ever used this machine to aid in making quilts? Seriously considering upgrading to the Maker 3 after watching this.
Thank you so much, Cherie! I'm not a sewer so unfortunately, I have not used my machine to make quilts. Sorry!
Nice video, thanks for sharing 💓
Thank you, Maryam!!
@@InsideOutlined you're welcome 💓
Where can I get 1 and do I need to buy the big heat presser?
Hello,
You can use the link below to purchase a Cricut Maker 3.
cricut.pxf.io/kjYL5V
You won't need the heat press unless you intend to make shirts and other items that require heat to adhere the heat transfer vinyl to different materials.
If I already have an Explore 2, how do I switch to a maker 3?
Hi Jill,
I’m assuming you have a Cricut Explore Air 2 and a Cricut Maker 3.
In Cricut Design Space, open a new project and go to the Canvas. In the top right corner next to “My Stuff” and beside the “Make” button, you should see the Cricut machine that’s currently connected to Cricut Design Space.
Click on that machine name and choose the Cricut machine you want to use.
I am having big in loadings the mats or material. Everything i insert cricut is saying not enough
Nice video, but that sign on the screen lower left it bothers the, I want to see the whole surface.
Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
Can the explore air 2 use smart vinyl as well?
Hello,
I’m not sure that you can cut smart vinyl with the Cricut Explore Air 2.
@@InsideOutlined yes it can see it on another video after I ask
the best
Thank you.
MacBook or PC better? I used a Mac for school, had issues with papers.
Hi Juan,
I personally prefer a Macbook. I have been using mine for the past 3 years with no issues at all.
@@InsideOutlined awesome, thank you so much…I’m done with school now so I can just use it with my new maker 3 🙌🏽 👊🏽
Hi Christine,
I did not have an issue cutting my Smart Vinyl with my Maker 3.

How can I get this machine in Nigeria?
Hello,
According to the Cricut website, they only sell directly to customers in South Africa. cricut.com/en-us/country-selector
I would recommend searching on Amazon or Swing Design to see if you can purchase a machine in Nigeria.
Amazing video... 💙
Thank you.
Hey can you help me with a few questions
Hi Jazzy,
Yes, I can help with your Cricut questions. You can post them here or email me directly at byrd@insideoutlined.com
Thanks!
It won't let me get passed the activate button I tried to re Install but its still not working
Connect the machine to your computer with the usb provided and just update the firmware to activate it.
I got my cricut 3 maker for Christmas and its still in the box lol
Hey!
Take it out the box and try making this easy tote bag: ruclips.net/video/rmZITrLhkYQ/видео.html
Thanks 😊
Thank you, Joy!!
Mine will not do the test cut and it just goes back to connect machine. Help!
Hi Tanisha,
Have you tried unplugging your Cricut machine, closing Design Space and starting over?
Why do you need both? They don't do the same things?
Hi Mitzi,
I have 2 Cricut machines for large orders such as large orders of shirts. It saves time to be able to have 2 machines cutting at the same time.
What kind of computer is that
Hi Briyana,
It’s a MacBook computer.
New sub loved so helpful thank you 🎉
Hey Anthea! Thank you so much!
do you have to use a Mac
I have lenovo laptop
Hello,
No, you do not need a Macbook. You can use any laptop device as well as a tablet/iPad or smartphone.
I just ordered this today. Do I need a printer to use it?
@@lindyberrios8820 Hi Lindy! You only need a printer if you want to use the print then cut feature of Cricut Design Space to print greeting cards, shirts, etc. Watch this video to see how I used the print then cut feature to make magnets. studio.ruclips.net/user/videocSKjq8Nx69I/edit

Thank you.
I didn't get a iron on either
That's interesting Lorraine. That may be a mistake on their manufacturing company.

sorry, that was under my husband's account. Great video.
Hi Kimberley,
I'm sorry you had that experience with the strong grip mat. It can be very frustrating to mess up a project, I've been there many times before.
I personally don't own any strong grip mats because I primarily cut cardstock and stickers.
Thank you for sharing your experience and please don't be discouraged from crafting, it's part of the journey to learning your machine.
This video didn't work because I am visual and could not see what was appearing on your computer to guide me as a beginner.
