Beginner Brush Tip #4 - Even 1/8th's

Play even 1/8ths or 1/16ths using a swish stroke. Practice playing downbeat and upbeat accents (the Reed book is a good source for accent patterns) then move on to various groove oriented phrasing accents, with chosen bass drum and hi-hat parts.
Swished or Swept Pardiddles also work well.
