@RealMenRealStyle Hey, why don't you do a series of lookbook videos on RUclips involving you wearing a suit (both single-breasted and double breasted), tie and hat (trilby and/or fedora), where you wordlessly walk around and pose on the streets or against your usual background wearing these clothes, sometimes with both your hands in your pockets? Maybe you could bookend each video with 30 seconds of robot dancing (powering up like a machine at the beginning and powering down at the end)?
I've used their "custom suit" program for a few times. The closest store to me is three hours away at Tyson's Corner, VA. It was well worth the trip and the staff was very knowledgeable. My guy was even getting into the history of certain features in the suit and I was able to hold a conversation cause of this channel lol. Anyways it was well worth the trip because now he has my measurement template. So with my other suits I just select what options I want and send him the generated code. He plugs in my measurements (which are much more specific than simply "size 40 jacket") and processes payment. One month later I have a new perfectly tailored suit.
My coworker was a sales associate at Suitsupply for a while, and his friend is a manager. In August of 2023, I told my coworker I wanted a new suit. So even though our job was not needing suits, I wore one to work and he made a list of tweaks and colors he thought would look good (5'3" 140 pounds). I made an appointment, and he told his manager friend. So in October, I went in, and between my frirends suggestion and the manager, I ended spending more (I got a suit, trousers and a sports coat) but it's much better than the others I had, other than one Italian one I got when I was 19. But for the price, it's hard to beat. This was San Jose, CA on Santana Row
I took my soon to be 17-year-old son to the Edina, MN SuitSupply location yesterday to buy his first "real suit". The service was spectacular and he came out with a fantastic look.
I actually went to the one in St. Louis today and holy shit I was blown away I sell suits at a major department store and the layout and talking to the associate and the quality of the shirt I bought was out of this world
Well, I’m from the Netherlands and move recently from one end of the country to another. Leiden was the one I used to visit (I’m 14, therefore suitsupply is way out of my league. But I love to visit them anyway). But I still have to go to the closest one nearby me now that I moved (Groningen).
Suitsupply on Locust St., Philly. Ask for Keith. I bought my first suits in 2017…. They are comfortable, wear well and look great. I recently bought four more including a custom fit. Great value, great suits!
I'm shopping around for a first suit and I've watched both the GG video and this one. Hopefully they have also improved their custom program to actually be truly custom and not just certain fabric and button options.
Nice and very informative video! I just bought my first suit in decades last week. I went straight to Suit Supply. Off the rack and got the suit AND cut away collar button down tailored in less than a week! Money well spent.
SO glad you're still talking about fashion dude. I love alpha m and some of the other channels that starter off with men's apparel, but I feel like they kinda branched out a little too much. Thanks for sticking to it!
I picked up a beautiful second hand Suit Supply overcoat. Its fabric is made by Carlo Barbera and it's a blend of wool, camel wool and cashmere. Hopefully it lasts me a lifetime! We have a Suit Supply shop here in Lithuania but I haven't had a chance to visit it yet as it's in a different city.
Nice, I got lucky once with a second hand item too at an outlet store. Jacket in my size, but without matching pants. Total bargain. Hope your coat will last a lifetime indeed - awesome value for money
I really like Suit Supply. I ended up going with another suit maker for my wedding suit because it was hand made in Naples, but the suit supply suits looked pretty good.
It takes a shockingly confident human being to find new competition, see that they are a great operation, end up ending their own business and becoming a fervent customer and affiliate of their former competitor. That's all the convincing I need.
I've visited the store in Groningen, northern Netherlands. Got a nice pair of custom made double pleated gurkha style trousers with side adjusters. Love the fabric, love the style.
I am going to buy my first custom suit in SuitSupply (Antwerp Belgium). I already made a first draft of my suit in there configurator. I am very excited to go trough the full process.
Visited the suitsupply store in Antwerpen and bought 3 suits. The Store in Antwerpen, Beglium is one of the largest ins Europa and I loved it! Great personnel!
An excellent & exhaustive video to guide a man thru all facets of dressing in contemporary style. The suggestions are honest & straight forward & extremely useful.Must be one the best ever videos.Thank you 👍
I love what this company offers most men: alas, as someone who is 5’11” weighing in at 295 lbs. they don’t seem to offer anything at my usual 50 to 52R jackets. This has detracted me from going in to my local Suit Supply but maybe I should give it a chance and see if their staff offer bigger sizes for the larger man.
I live in Philadelphia and I love the their store here. Especially the customer service. It's smaller than many of their other locations though. The one in ATL is also great.
King of Prusia one is kinda small. I was more excited about the suit than the guy that worked with me( it didn’t kill the experience I’m happy about the suit I’m getting
I have 16 M2M from suitsupply. I slowed down once once I visited Sam's Tailor in Hong Kong. I said slowed down I just picked up 3 in July. Suitsupply DC rock. ( The guys that opened Jason, Chris Ect)
Being from Bavaria, my favourite Suitsupply Store is the one in Munich, which I really like going frequently and had my first custom suit in my life made there! And yes it's true that Suitsupply is very inspirational!
@RealMenRealStyle your videos have been extremely helpful. I’m about to enter a senior position in a financial firm and felt it was time to redefine myself, thank you for your content 🙏 I’d recommend going into a Moss Bro’s store if you are ever in the UK, they are very widespread now and very affordable
Great video Antonio!! While suitsupply is a fantastic company with great products from great mills, i do prefer Spier And mackay just a little more because I struggle to find a lot at susu that fits my larger frame, maybe I’ll have to go try their custom program though
Beautiful VBC wools and flannels, and awesome E. Thomas blends full or half canvassed for well under $1000? What's not to like? Helps that the house cut fits me extremely well off the rack. I have heard from a friend or two that the in house tailoring recommendations can lean towards too skinny.
Go to the Amsterdam flag ship if you go to the Netherlands they have like 30-40 times as many fabrics as a normal flagship and if you been to a flagship it’s already a coooo 1,200 fabric options lol so ya
Awesome content, thanks! I’m looking into purchasing a Lazio fit jacket online but have heard confusing reviews about sizing. I am also about 5’9, 170lbs and usually fit in a 40R. What size jacket do you take with suitsupply?
In my opinion the best you can do is to go into a store and try on suits there ‼️ Suitsupply is good and all but when I ordered last year really all of their suits were not slimmed down the leg despite described as such on their website. I don‘t know about their personal service bc in my country there are no stores. The only one I have ever seen was in Moscow but then I could also already go into a shopping mall near my home town. Final result 6,5(maybe 7) out of 10
I just bought one 1k suit from them yesterday. The quality of fabric is high class, the service is amazing. I think it worth the money compare to the suit you buy in Macy or Nordstrom.
I went last Saturday to Suitsupply in Frankfurt. And again it was terrible. The sales assistant doesn’t knew anything. Not even their own size system. No consultation, no armpits checking, no checking of the closer Center nothing, no measurement taking.. nothing at all. I felt like a was buying a suit of the rack. The alterations offered were just shortening the sleeve lengths and trousers?? That’s all wtf And last but not least the attitude of the stuff is arrogant and unfriendly.
My only problem with suitsupply are their employees. They all seem to have the same bad, pretentious attitude. And I've visited three of their stores many others have said the same.
It pains me that the only Suitsupply we have in Australia is in Sydney. Guess we'll have to make do with what we have in Melbourne. All recommendations welcome!
@@RealMenRealStyle I think they might. I've noticed more and more young people especially are becoming more aware of style likely thanks to men like you. Many thanks for the information you've provided for us. I've gone from a timid boy to walking down a path to the man I know myself to be.
I’ve heard and read so many good things about Suit Supply that I was pretty much settled on getting my next suit from them. Something stops me though. For one thing, the suits (and the people in the store) are too young - they’re too skinny. I’m skinny myself but these things fit too tight. I like a more relaxed fit. I haven’t decided against them, but I’m looking more at Oliver Wicks and Spier & Mackay. I have a couple months before I’ll have the money, so I have a bit of time to think about it. I’m still open to being convinced. Are higher arm holes an option in the custom program? Is sleeve pitch?
I would have to disagree. The suits are not tight at all, they just fit as they should. You shouldn’t want a suits that’s too big, at least make the suit look like it was custom. You must be 60?? The people are too young… you should want people 35 and younger because they know the new style.
@@AnthonyWStylez I disagree in one point: Real gents with a good taste avoid "new style" at all cost. Yes, you should go for a proper fit. But you shouldn´t look like Superman in a suit. You also should definitely avoid trends like trousers exposing your ankles. A suit should always stay classy and the salesperson of Suitsupply sometimes tend to not consider those standard rules. Therefore - and I am 34 myself - I partly agree with the concerns the original post adresses. But of course there are many well educated advisors working for Suitsupply. That being said going in without a strong vision of what you want it can be a bit of a gamble. Which isn´t the case with true bespoke menswear. You will hardly find any trend oriented advisor within the world of traditional bespoke menswear.
@@AnthonyWStylez "The new style" is the problem. In a few years, there will be another new style, and your suit will look dated, while I will still have many years to wear my classic suit.
its an ok brand , very over hyped if you are really like mens wear . The fabrics are fine nothing to great and by this i mean , the use lower end fabrics like reda and E Thomas, nothing to be blown away. With any economy of scale they could be using stuff from Holland Sherry , Scabal , Loro Piana , Fox brothers and so on . With regards to materials there linings are nice polyester but still polyester . They could at least be using bemberg cupro and on the higher end be using silk . Buttons on most jackets are imitation horn , they should all be real horn . Their shirts as well could use higher end mills like Alumo . Their shoes are over priced with better options like carmina , septiem and so on . Their are better options for your money at the same bracket , pini parma blows them out of the water , spier mackay as well . Be honest to us and say it like it is or at least do your homework on the subject.
For (mostly) online suit retailers, you're talking about Pini Parma level of fabrics, button's, linings etc. there. I'd imagine even with the business model, that if they were to upgrade the items you mention, then it would be reflected in the price. I'd suggest that for what you get the pricing is just about on point and we'll situated for a relatively generic but decent entry level option. Could they give the customer more if a break? Absolutely. This is especially true for their Chinese "atelier" suits. They're doing what they can get away with to optimize profit while keeping customers pretty happy. I own a few suits from these guys in my collection and they are good for for the price, even though nowhere near the best I have. I totally agree about their other items. Quality isn't there for the price. I guess if you can afford not to have to compromise a bit then, yeah, avoid SS. If you're like me and only have had the budget for a few MTM and bespoke items, as well as a few higher end "custom" items from Pini, Lanieri etc. Then SS is a great way to round out a wardrobe. For people with even less of a budget than me, SS sales/outlets where a decent suit can be had for ~USD180 or so are almost unbeatable.
Solbiati, Drago, Zegna, marling & Evans just to name some they do have more. Every Suit has Cupro lining (Check the garment tag inside), sleeve lining is polyester. They have real horn buttons if you want for $8. They also have Albini and Thomas Mason for Shirts which are the kings of shirt fabric. Handmade italian shoe for $250 is not overpriced. Anything Else You Got buddy?
@@kanishkbhardwaj4723 king of fabrics albini and thomas mason ? Man really do a bit more digging . Albini is not that great and thomas mason is over priced , both bought by asian groups . There are plenty of options for shirts just to give you an example Alumo . "Hand made shoes" ? Man youre kidding they are not hand made they are decent and thats being nice . 299 usd for plain blake stich that is nothing special given their volume , not even blake rapid . There are plenty of shoe brand at the price point doing at least good year welt and if you do your home work you can find norewgian stiching . For 250 usd their are shoe brands like carmina(sale) , septiem , velasca , mermin mallorca that are doing at good year welt. Like is said its not a bad brand its fine but it is over hyped . 10 years ago they were more revolutionary if you want to call it that but today not by a long shot. And with regards to suit fabrics, scabal , holland sherry , fox brothers , loro piana , durmel , ariston all better options my man . Spierandmackay uses fox brothers a company 100 times smaller giving better value on suits with full canvas suit for half of what suitsupply sells them .
@@briang530 agree . Like i said is not bad but, its fine but overhyped yes. Quality is questionable at times and you can see that they keep going down on mills (tier wise ) i dont hate the brand i just dislike when youtubers are very bias either beacuse they are getting paid or lack of knowladge on the matter
The use Bemberg for body linings, the sleeves are poly viscose. Most of the fabrics you listed are available in mate to measure or you can only get them off the rack at top locations , their not always on the website. Also if you go online and change the county To an EU you sometimes get different suits that the US never gets
I like the video, now you've also talked about Indochino before so my question is which one is better? which one do you recommend the most? are they around the same price, and everything else?
Suitsupply is better. Boom. more options of how you want it. Also just more sartorial features. I think their only real competitor is Pini Parma, Boggi, Spier & Mackey. And I mean even then I’d just rather get a suitsupply suit than any of the others🤷🏽♂️
I agree that, selecting the classics (conservative) will give you longer usage. But to say that "it will last you a lifetime" isn't really true when you take into account how the styles keep changing: wide vs narrow jacket lapels, short cut jacket vs long cut jacket, double breasted vs single breasted jacket, one to two buttons vs three to four buttons on the jacket, peek vs notch lapels, overall loose fit vs tight fit, one vent, two ven,t or no vents, vests vs no vests, pleated pants vs no pleats, cuffing the bottom of the pants vs no cuffing, wide vs narrow pant width, Etc, etc, etc.... So, if you don't buy the latest, no matter how conservative you go, fashion designers will make sure that you eventually look out dated and old.
Suitsupply, you’ll have more choices so your more likely to get what your shooting for. I have like 60-70 suits. As annoying as it it SS does hit it off basically all the time

that's the one i go to, i'm about a hour away but every time i'm in the area i go out of my way to get there
cool I'm in RVA.. I'll check out Tysons corner location
The one reason I want a bespoke or custom suit is I can get an inner lining with horses or cowboys on it.

That works!

I got a suit supply a couple blocks away, maybe a 10 minute walk lol
Rotterdam, Netherlands
It pains me that the only Suitsupply we have in Australia is in Sydney. Guess we'll have to make do with what we have in Melbourne. All recommendations welcome!
Hopefully, they open up more stores in your area.
@@RealMenRealStyle I think they might. I've noticed more and more young people especially are becoming more aware of style likely thanks to men like you. Many thanks for the information you've provided for us. I've gone from a timid boy to walking down a path to the man I know myself to be.
Yea they only have one in Sydney. Maybe on my next visit to Sydney i could go there. But hope they'll hope in Melbourne.
I suggest the Amsterdam store
Make a video on the style from American Psycho!
Thank you so so so much for this one... I love suit videos Mr. Antonio (I'm 18 so calling you sir haha) this made my day!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@RealMenRealStyle definitely did sir! Hope I meet you and Mr. Aaron someday... You guys are my idols!
Outstanding Hooyah
I agree that, selecting the classics (conservative) will give you longer usage. But to say that "it will last you a lifetime" isn't really true when you take into account how the styles keep changing:
wide vs narrow jacket lapels,
short cut jacket vs long cut jacket,
double breasted vs single breasted jacket,
one to two buttons vs three to four buttons on the jacket,
peek vs notch lapels,
overall loose fit vs tight fit,
one vent, two ven,t or no vents,
vests vs no vests,
pleated pants vs no pleats,
cuffing the bottom of the pants vs no cuffing,
wide vs narrow pant width,
Etc, etc, etc....
So, if you don't buy the latest, no matter how conservative you go, fashion designers will make sure that you eventually look out dated and old.
If I wanted to buy my first made to measure suit should I go with suit supply, indochino or something else?
Suitsupply, you’ll have more choices so your more likely to get what your shooting for. I have like 60-70 suits. As annoying as it it SS does hit it off basically all the time
@@docwaft559 60-70 suits? wow! Why?
