This was an outstanding video! Lots of good answers to intelligent "beginner" questions. The answers were very helpful and a lot of material was covered in 8 minutes. Please do more of these types of videos. It was very enjoyable and helpful.

Interesting re: chinos at 4:00. That's also how I think of chinos - flat fronted (no pleats), without a crease, but I wonder about their military origins & how they were cut originally. I also know pleated chinos were popular in the 80s and 90s and Ralph Lauren sells them again

Just found your website and video page. Was watching your video about suits and you had talked briefly about tiebars. I prefer Thai tax. Can you tell me about those or do you have a video where you’ve already discussed this?

Is wearing an ascot to a funeral appropriate?

Michael's tie look looks like putting whip cream and a cherry on your Christmas turkey.
Chinos with a blazer,/ jacket, pleats and a crease. Chinos with any casual (no tie) shirt. pleats and no crease. I like pleats.
This winter, I've replaced jeans with cords. Looks MUCH better.

If the comment on his tie was meant to say it didn't really go with his suit/shirt very well, then I agree with you. I would have liked to see something with a bit more contrast.

      Who’s Michael?

Prince Michael of Kent wears the very strange tie knots (but his suits are spectacular), I'm Just Michael of Chicago. I know how to tie a tie (and my suits are serviceable).
