Haha - we did! Sometimes, the best adventures take you to the coldest places! 😄. We likely won't do that again (at least not for a month!). Thanks for watching!
I love Zakopane, I’m in my 40s now and I still see my trip to Zakopane as the best time I ever had! The best trip hands down, however, I went in the summer, it’s sad that you didn’t get to experience the views from Gubałuwka because of weather, it’s something you usually don’t even think about.
Its a very beautiful place any time of year I am sure! It was too bad about the views, but the snow added a cozy and Christmassy atmosphere! Thanks for watching!
Looks lovely but I think I would choose a different season! LOL!! I’m sitting here watching too much snow falling outside in NS! Maybe the vodka would help. 😂
We agree Lori! Next time we will visit at a warmer time of year! The Christmas Market was worth it though! LOL. Vodka and hot wine definitely help!! LOL 😂🥂
Krakow should be lovely in April. We linked the tour in the description of the video (it was booked through Voator) many to choose from, but this had the best itinerary, included hotel pick up and had an outstanding host/guide, Mirek! and wonderful clean Mercedes van/bus and great driver!
Thank you! We were a little surprised too, but the plan started because of wanting to visit the Christmas market and then went from there! We also thought that we would appreciate a cooler, possibly white Christmas that we were missing in Canada! LOL. No family ties or roots in Poland!
I will tell you an interesting fact that not far from Zakopane, in the village of Dębno (near the town of Nowy Targ), there is a wooden church (UNESCO heritage site) which in its current form was built more or less in the same years when Christopher Columbus sailed to the Caribbean, discovering America in search of a route to India.
@@mitchandjan It's a pity because right next door in the village of Niedzica is the Dunajec Castle from the 14th century (once guarding the Polish-Hungarian border). An interesting fact is that an Inca knot letter was accidentally found in this castle during renovation. Supposedly, according to legend, this letter speaks of a hidden treasure. Looking for an explanation of how the document from South America ended up there, it turned out that the owners of the castle had been hiding an Inca princess who had married a Spaniard for some time. Supposedly, because of the knowledge about the treasure, they had to hide from those who wanted to take it away and murder them. In the summer, there is a great bike trail there and you can also take a 2.5-hour rafting trip on the Dunajec River
Super, zapraszamy do kolejnych pięknych miejsc w Polsce❤ PL podbija zasiegi 😉

Another great video! I am surprised to see you visiting Poland in the winter months, do either of you have a familial relationship to Poland?
