Newfoundland has the LARGEST population of feeding humpbacks in the WORLD!! They are playful and curious and amazing creatures that we are fortunate enough to get up close and personal with!!
After that, we head to Dildo, yes Newfoundland has some of the CRAZIEST town names and Dildo, Newfoundland put this island in Canada on the map when Jimmy Kimmel fell in love with the town and its name. Now with a Hollywood sign perched proudly on the hill looking over the small town, Dildo has really made a name for itself!

    Guys we couldn't stop until we finished what you have for Newfoundland tonight lol. Great job with the zip lining, had plans on getting to Bumble Bee Brewery this year but plans fell through, hopefully next year. I spent a lot of time in Fogo over my working career I was responsible for Telecommunications network and internet and cellular service on the island for over 20 years. Still enjoy visiting there lol. I saw the Fogo Island Inn being built from Rock up it's pretty unique. What can I say you captured the Island really well we are enjoying your videos this evening. Have a great week guys.

    Well guys triple header for tonight, I did that hike with my son few years ago and as you said you definitely earn the views lol. I developed a leg cramp on the way down the decent and I was in misery by the time I finished but I still loved it and our beers tasted extra good that night. Great job with the spoons on the boat lol. Have a great week guys

      So exciting! September should be much less busy than the summer. Likely similar to the amount of tourists when we visited (in the video). September in Ontario can be anything from chilly to summery warm. Bring layers. Expect mostly sunny, temps in the mid teens to low twenties with cooler evenings and nights. Enjoy your visit!! Thanks for watching. Cheers!

    Happy birthday, Twillingate is an area I spend a lot of time, I was responsible for Telecommunications and cellular service for years, now my daughter has a vacation home there minutes walk from Aul Island Winery and they have a new boat so needless to say I love it there lol. In 2023 there were loads of icebergs in the bay actually some right in the harbor. My most watch video is of fishing and out close up and personal with them. I was born and raised here never had a touton with scallops but I will be trying it lol. Looks like you may have boondocked in Bonavista close to the area I was boondocking there couple of weeks ago lol. We also visited Elliston on that trip lol. Love the puffins. Yes growing up I went mummering many times lol. Great video really enjoyed this one glad I subscribed and have notifications turned on so I can follow your journey and will check your other videos. Hello! Thanks so much for following us along! So exciting for you guys to be doing a week of vacation in an RV. We have not stayed at any spots between North Bay and Temagami, but there are definitely a few spots on Crown Land (not just Walmart parking lots LOL). We would suggest that you download an app called "ioverlander" . It is a free app and shows you all kinds of great spots - from wild camping to informal camping (Walmart, Home Depot) and legit campgrounds. It has information, reviews, directions and even pictures on most wild camping (boondocking) spots. We have definitely seen a few between North Bay and Temagami that we would like to check out. *Look around Wilson Lake Road near Temagami, once you download the app. Hope this helps! Have the most fun!! Thanks again for watching along and let us know if you have anymore questions. We will be heading back up to Kap in September. Thank you for the great feedback! The Flixbus is a great experience. We took a few in Portugal and Spain. Nicer than the train that runs out of Lagos towards Faro. Keep your expectations in check - the washroom is a basic, all stainless, rv style (not like a coach bus) and are sometimes out of order and the free wifi never seems to work. But its comfy and clean and punctual. We quite liked Albufeira, but preferred Lagos (personally). We LOVE the Algarve and will likely be back this winter! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Cheers!! 🥂

    Hi . My evisa application status is Amended Application. I was asked to re edit the application twice but still i have no idea what’s the wrong i did filling my application previously. I’m planning to re apply a new e visa application. Is it okay ? Will it affect to my new application because previously application is still in amend application status .

      Hi there, sorry to hear about the troubles with your visa. We really are not experts and have no idea how to guide you in this situation. Best of luck getting approved very quickly! 🙂

    We visited Thessalon and Bruce Mines Ontario. But prior to that we were visiting friends and family in DeTour and Drummond Island, Michigan on Lake Huron which would’ve been a little bit South and West of y’all. The story I heard as a kid was Drummond Island was originally part of the Manitoulin Islands And when they were drawing a line between the states and Canada they got the Captain of the ship drunk and he cut Drummond Island out of the Canadian chain of islands. I’m not sure if that’s true or not but I remember getting health care as a kid in Canada and we lived in Michigan.

    You always had to have the letter of introduction to do visa on arrival for usa passports.

      Another viewer had told us this as well. That is not made clear on their website (in our opinion). Part of the reason we made this video is because we feel that we are pretty experienced at deciphering the rules and requirements around various aspects of travelling to different countries, but we messed up heading to Vietnam! LOL.

    How long was the crossing? How did you book a 4 person berth for just the 2 of you? What was the total cost? What port did you leave from & which port did you arrive at? We’ll be doing this trip August 2025 so appreciate the info! Have a great trip!

    • @mitchandjan
      @mitchandjan Месяц назад

      Thanks so much for all the questions.....The crossing in this video is from North Sydney, NS to Port aux Basques, NL and is 7 hours. We will be doing a video of the other crossing (Argentia, NL back to North Sydney, NS), which is approx 16 hrs long at the end of our trip, so watch for that in a few weeks!! When booking, the standard berth was a 4 person berth and TOTAL COST: $420.61 CAD - ONE WAY. The 4 berth cabin is the standard cabin and cost $160.43 of the total cost. Vehicle fees start around $101 and increase based on length/trailers etc. Our camper van fee was $152.75 of the total cost, as we are 23’ long. Newfoundland is absolutely amazing! Hopefully our Newfoundland series helps you with your planning! CHEERS!!

      Hi there! If you are simply transiting through for a connecting flight, and you have the boarding pass for your connecting flight, you will not need an eVisa.

    Hi. Can I apply for the evisa before buying my air ticket? Or do I have to apply for evisa after buying the air tickets ?

    • @mitchandjan
      @mitchandjan Месяц назад

      You can apply for the eVisa BEFORE purchasing your flight. However, then you must make sure that you don’t end up wanting to fly into the country BEFORE the date that you indicated.
