Gorgeous! The only thing about the off season is the weather does interfere with plans. We found the same thing in Sicily. Great video guys:)

Thank you! We were trying to plan Sicily this winter as well, but yes, weather is so touchy this time of year! Have a Happy New Year!! 🥳

Great video! I guess we’ll put Sarande closer to early fall for optimal weather. We really need to be in sun for Dec, Jan and Feb….. The whole Schengen thing can really mess with chasing the sun! First world problems I guess. 😎

Thanks ! Yes, we feel the same first world problems! The Schengen Shuffle is a real thing!! LOL. Right up to the end of November was really nice in Saranda. Hot when the sun was out! October would likely be amazing!! Happy New Year! 🥳

We spent a month in Tirana, and we visited a number of nearby cities and neighborhoods so we are intimately familiar with the Albanian buses. Sometimes we think back and wonder, “how did we figure this stuff out?” There’s the northern and the southern bus terminals and international bus terminal. And then you somehow have to know how much it costs and sometimes you pay the driver and other times there is a guy who collects the fares.
I have to say the Albanian people were so friendly and helpful and I think genuinely excited that we were visiting their country.
Sarande looks completely different from our experience in Tirana. Those beachside restaurants look amazing.
Did you guys take the bus back to Tirana for your flight out of Albania?

Yes, the bus situation is an experience for sure! We did take the bus back to Tirana! It was quite uneventful and we knew what to expect, so it seemed "normal". it was extra beautiful however as the temps had dropped over the month and there was snow on the peaks of the mountains in the distance on the way back!
We agree about the genuine hospitality of the Albanian people! ❤️
