Nacho Libre is underrated when it comes to comedy films. This movie proved that you don't need to swear like a sailer, show college frat parties, or sex to produce humor in movies. This movie is going age well.
+TheHornet79 I just re-watched it for the first time since it came out, and I think this movie got funnier. I love movies like Step Brothers and Anchorman , but I think I could actually show this to the kid we're having soon.
+Scott Jones i remember the first time i saw it and i thought it was average but the more i watched it the more it became one of my favourite comedies. It is such a funny film haha
It takes a special kind of person to love Nacho Libre...I can usually tell that I'm going to get along with someone if they are Nacho fans...for those that cannot find the humor in this masterpiece, all hope is not lost, you can remedy this deficiency by finding eagles' eggs and eating them, then you must get bap-TISE.
When he did his eagle launch against ramses i literally got chills down my spine. Thats what you call a good climax and the effects of eagle powers, the nutriennnts!
My best friend is a huge fan of Jack since years. However, she didn't even finish the movie, because she thought it was soooo bad. The first time I cringed, too. And spent the whole next day giggling about what I've seen. This was about five runs ago, and I don't plan to stop.
Critics don't know what they're talking about, I love Spiderman 3, got bad reviews. Hell, Spiderman 2 got a 7.4, what in the world is that? Problem Child got bad reviews, critics got their head up their asses.
"When the fantasy has ended, and all the children are gone. Something good inside me, helps me to carry on. I ate some bugs, I ate some grass, I used my hand to wipe my tears. To kiss your mouth I'd break my vows. No, no, no, no, no, no way Jose. Unless you want to, then, we break our vows together! ENCARNACIIOOOOOOOOON!!!"
This movie gets better and better through the years. I've watched it about ten times, years apart, since it came out and I always find his accent and quotes hilarious! It never gets old... My 7 yr. old loves it too.
In the "Motivational Speaker" clip, it cut off my favorite part at the end after Nacho says to the orphans "Go away..." then he says, "Read some books!!!" Haha. Always loved that line.
I remember going to see this movie the first night it came out when I was a sophomore in high school and it's still the hardest I've ever laughed in my life.. I literally threw up from laughter at the opening scene when he elbows the bowl of chips. It wasn't even the funniest part but I immediately knew this movie was going to be pure gold.
One of the funniest parts is when nacho leaves and Steven goes looking for him. Nacho is in a hill and Steven is like a few feet away and was surprised to be found hahahahaha
I love this movie. I bought it for my Kindle, so I can watch it whenever I need a laugh. It was really a sweet movie, too. Loved little Chancho and Esquelito.
I love the subtle use of food for comedy in this movie. Those enormous ears of corn on sticks... Or sitting and eating a huge salad during a conversation. Perfect
Awesome. You did a great job selecting those scenes and not cutting it off too soon like some do. Definitely rewatch this when I'm having a few beers and wanna watch best clips of Nacho Libre! Thanks man. :)
I had reservations about watching this movie for all of the bad reviews it got. I finally got around to watching it last night. "Nacho Libre" was much better than I had expected. I'm not usually one for this type of slapstick humor, but I found myself laughing a bunch of times while watching this movie. Jack's clumsiness and Hector's screams had me rolling with laughter. They make for a great comedy team.
A wonderful film, always enjoyed watching this when I was a kid. Such a slept on film deserves way more recognition some of the humour is fantastic. IT GAVE ME NO NUTRIENTS
the song in the background on the first scene reminds me of my childhood and iv'e watched this almost more than 10 times in my life lol love that movie
This is one of those movies that you have to have a special sense of humor to appreciate. But I love this movie, just for the sole reason that it is so bad it's good. I think that was kind of the whole point of this movie. Still, one of the best, worst movies of all time.
Nacho Libre is underrated when it comes to comedy films. This movie proved that you don't need to swear like a sailer, show college frat parties, or sex to produce humor in movies. This movie is going age well.

This is one of those movies that you have to have a special sense of humor to appreciate. But I love this movie, just for the sole reason that it is so bad it's good. I think that was kind of the whole point of this movie. Still, one of the best, worst movies of all time.
+97I30T i disagree with it being meant to be bad. Although a special sense of humour is needed for sure. One of my fave comedies
+raimesey fair enough. Either way it's still in my top 5 favorite movies ever
