- What an Epic Silver Score from a lucky chance encounter at the bank... I paid Face Value for Peace Dollars, Morgan Dollars and silver quarters - one was a KEY DATE (1932 S)! WOW!
So... I'm in line at the Bank and BOOOOOM! I get a lucky chance encounter with someone actually depositing coins from their grandfather's collection!
It's the stuff you "hear" about but never actually witness... You know when you score some nice silver in a box or from a teller that someone dumped part of a collection, but to actually get it straight from the source is one of my luckiest days ever!
In this video, I'll explain the story and show my silver score - including things like Peace Dollars, Morgan Dollars and even a KEY DATE silver Washington Quarter!
I hope you enjoy the video and always be looking, asking and searching! They are STILL out there just waiting for us to find and stack!

How often do you find Ike Dollars, Peace Dollar or Morgan Dollars at your bank?
What's your best score from a teller? From a bank patron? At a yard sale? Craigslist? Anywhere???
Which of the "Big Banks" do you think has the friendliest service?
I hope you enjoyed the video!

RobFindsTreasure Nice finds but I’m pretty sure the mintmark on the 32-S is fake. Check out the round circle behind it at 5:04.
I’m officially jelly
@@JBird7986 I've studied it for some time. The circle is dirt around it but raised suspicion of course. I will tell you that the mint mark is slightly more raised than the wear of the other letters on the reverse and that gives me concern. I am going to dig into it some more but seems odd that there would be a FAKE quarter in an old man's collection unless he picked it up later and never thought to look into it. That being said, based on the rest of the coins I got, it also seems weird that there was common years and only 1 key date. You would think there would have been some more key dates or more coins in general.
@@RobFindsTreasure i thinkl the standing liberty is from 1926 it appers the 20s quarter
1932 D is also a key date Quarter.
Not gonna lie I would be rolling in my grave if one of my family members sold all my coins for face value
That's the crazy thing; people these days don't even know that gold and silver are valuable. They've basically been brainwashed to not even think about it as money. Mark Dice has a series of videos on here where he goes up to people in California and offers them either a gold bar or a silver bar, or a stinking Hersey's chocolate bar, and NO ONE takes the gold or silver bar. They ALL take the Hershey's chocolate bar instead! These people are complete idiots! I even heard some federal DEA agent guy I met once say "only crazy people keep gold and silver". Federal agents literally look at people as though they might be dangerous or a "kook" or "crazy" if they keep gold or silver. It's complete insanity the world we are living in these days.
If you're considered crazy for collecting silver/gold, I wouldn't want to be sane.
that's why you ensure they know it's worth more than face.
it's sad I know plenty of people who don't what silver even looks like.
@@ooosoo8727 more for us lol
Yeah me to
If anyone ever says "I'm a coin collector, can i buy your coins?" You should probably hold off on giving them away lol
Rob, how are you always in the right place at the right time? LOOOOOOOL. Huge congrats!
When you're always out looking, you greatly improve your chances of scores like this.
Actually the worst part is he probably isn’t often in the right place at the right time, think of all the times people missed that and people actually deposited collections
Reminds me of the day I started collecting coins. I was in the back with my parents at around 14 and this older lady in front of me had a cloth bag of change ( late husbands coin collection) and asked if I wanted to see a coin that was over 100 years old and I said sure. She pulled out a 1873 seated dollar. She then asked if I wanted to buy the bag from her and I said sure. It had 164 large dollars, 259 pre 65 quarters, and 1205 pre 65 dimes and close to 300 in clad
BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is an EPIC score! Holy cow!
Wow, that's a pretty heavy bag from an older lady to be hefting around. But I'm sure this is a true story.
😱
I almost choked when you flipped over that 1932 quarter and there was a mint mark... wow you are one lucky person lol
That '32s retails at about $70 in VG.
You should have given her a little bit more over face...
I wanted to but she seemed somewhat annoyed already and was afraid to push my luck.
RobFindsTreasure she would be annoyed to give her more money.....? what...? that doesnt make sense
RobFindsTreasure good find though
changeXchange To encourage her ignorance???I once had a similar encounter at a yard sale. After i informed the lady of the coins she won’t even sell to me at spot price...
@@jackdaniels2586 You'd be surprised. She probably thought she was doing him a favor selling them to him.
That's it. I'm quitting my job so I can stand outside of my bank all day and look for people walking in with change.
LOL - I am seriously considering doing this now. No lie.
😂🤣🤣
lol
It makes you wonder how many missed opportunities there have been :(
You should have went back into the bank after the lady left and asked the teller if you could buy all the pennies she deposited!
I know - I ended up calling my wife and got sidetracked.
@@RobFindsTreasure Right, why not buy everything, including the pennies?
Probably rolls of indians and wheats
@@ThereIsNoLord you don’t think Jesus exists?
32-S quarter found in "circulation" is completely unheard of. It has to be remembered...the under 500K mintage of 32-S and 32-D, collectors didn't have to wait until 1957...or 1947 or 1937 to know those were rare. That's the find of the day on this batch, amigo.
Congrats on the find. True story: one time I went to my local bank, asked the teller, “Got any older bills?” She said, “yeah.” And then I nearly had a heart attack, the teller had 5 $20 bills with the brown seal circa the 1920’s, 1929 I think. I told my mother who was present and she bought them all for her and my collection. I will never forget that amazing day.
That quarter is a minimum of $160
408,000 mint. That is fantastic!
You are crazy. It is a great find, but a 32-s in circulated condition just isn't worth it.
I have sold a few on Ebay, you will get about $50-$80 in that condition
Why does rob sound like he is one of those guys that advertises "How they get 6 digits without doing anything"
?
That's what I call "Rob-ing" the bank!
LOL
but in one part of the video rob said he was trying to tell the lady but then the lady interrupted and said ''you can buy it all' i hope this reply is helpful

I’m happy when I get a silver dime, Nickel, or 40% silver half. I’m so jealous right now I cannot believe how lucky you are. Congratulations on the key date. That’s absolutely insane
Awesome score Rob !! Probably 10yrs back I bought a book of silver quarters for cheap and sold the 1932 S for $60 to a guy at work and almost paid for everything else 😎
I can't believe the luck you have with some of these encounters. Glad to hear.
I started collecting coins when I was in the second grade. I have a Barber dime that my grandfather gave me. He had gotten it in change while in rural western Washington state (in 1964!). It's one of my favorites because he gave it to me. I'm a little sad when I think someone would sell a precious gift from their grandpa, but good for you, Rob, for respecting those coins!
When you rubbed that BU Morgan I died inside.
I was so excited that I lost my cool - I cringed when I was editing the video too...
Oh its fine; how often does this happen!!
Aaron Brownfield first time for me ever. And I spend a lot of times in banks...
What do you mean by rubbing the Morgan? Does that damage the coin?
@@anotherpilgrim8313 YES!
Nice score! Sounds like you did the right thing in trying to tell her they were worth more than face. I doubt any are fake. Probably grandpa saved them from decades ago before fake Chinese coins were around.
Thanks Herbert - I agree. Also, she seemed flustered when I said they were worth more than she'll get from the bank so I wasn't going to press my luck any further.
@@RobFindsTreasure Good move! The customer is always right!
This video, gave me the Fiz. I can only imagine how excited that made you! Great find, and Great video as always!
I’ve watched this video for over a 100 times yet i never get tired of his reactions 😂
Amazing... Great job Rob!!! 💪
That is amazing, my friend at work, found a 1932 S in his late fathers cup with a bunch of junk in it, it is VG. Congrats
Omg! Lucky you. You were at the right place at the right time . Rob scored!!!!!!
I had i quarter around my house from 1927. Standing liberty I was jumping up and down in surprise so I’m happy bout dat. But ur find is out of this world nice job hope your happy bout that
That's AWESOME!!!!! Thanks for sharing. 😎👍💗💗💗💗
Man that's awesome. Big Rob with the big luck 👍👍🥈🥈🥈
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. This is why I buy every large dollar sight unseen when I visit the banks. Morgans/Peace dollars are the same size as Ikes. Great score Rob!!!
Omg the 32s and d are key dates! You lucky ducky!! I need that for my book.
I'm so happy for you Rob. Nice score. Keep up the great work.
Rob, that is a truly amazing find! Sorry I was a bit skeptical before. It seemed too good to be true but sometimes you find great coins and win the lottery! Always awesome to get silver at face, especially the silver dollars. Good luck coin roll hunting and hope you get my sticker soon. Thanks for the videos!
It's fine to be skeptical. I just don't understand why a few of my fellow CRH's are doubting my video. I have never had skepticism from my friends - those that know me, know my authenticity. I expect it from strangers and new comers. Don't be sorry brother. It's all good.
Wow, a 40,000% return on that quarter! Fantastic luck!
Crazy! Right place, Right time! I really love that toned Morgan.
this reminds me on how i started coin collecting when my grandma gave me a buffalo nickel (dateless sadly) and a 1922 peace dollar 2 years ago and i still have them. i really hope no one in my family sells them for face value when i die. 😭
WOW. WOW. WOW. She KNEW what she wanted to do and YOU did try. Nice score.
That's incredible. Best I've found at a bank is a Peace dollar and Morgan dollar in one score with some Ikes.
Excellent! Thank you for sharing this luck find with all of us!
Epic awesome finds rob thanks for posting this video
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!! Man you are the luckiest guy ever!!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON THAT SCORE!!!!!!
That's some crazy luck! Congrats!
Awesome Rob I bet you are happy for the right timing lol awesome score I wish I got those coins
Fantastic finds dude! Keep up the great work and content. I enjoy your channel a lot.
Can’t imagine your first your reaction. My heart would be thumping the whole time
Great luck. Bout 20 years ago, I was working as a cashier and someone rented movies with a collection of coins including a 21 Morgan, and a few other silvers. It is in nice shape too.
Great find congratulations!!Years ago at the credit union I belong to had an old guy come in every Monday with 2-3 bucks in silver coins and just exchange them for paper and the teller would hold them for me and after a month of scoring my luck and the old dudes luck ran out and he had passed away
Man you are so lucky! Congrats on another great find!
WOW. Congratulations. J
Such a great find. Super cool.
Awesome. This probably happens all over the country every day. Most people are unaware that coins are collected and valuable.
Compared to 50 years ago, the number of coin collectors is WAY DOWN (even though the population has increased tremendously) and the number of coins is the same, which is why all of the action is at the very top grades, and you can't sell circulated coins easily.
That’s so epic! Right place at the right time!! The toning on that 1898 Morgan was beautiful!! Nice score on that 32S!
Nice find on the coins
I just got my coin mat love it I’ll be ordering more thanks .
Wow that is amazing! Today I found my first ever proof in a nickel box to go along with 2 war nickels.
Edit: 1982s Jefferson proof nickel
Holy cow! That is amazing. Wow!
Super jelly keep up the great work rob
Great finds just standing in line at the bank. Thank you for sharing
Awesome!!! I found 5 40% halves in a sunglasses box yesterday, my best ever 😎
Face value for priceless treasure that her dead grandfather left her. Heartwarming
That is awesome Rob! A great find! "Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn once in awhile"? lol I am happy for you and your lucky day It makes me feel like maybe I could have a lucky day like you had too!
HOLY SH*T! Nice score man!!
You lucky bastard. :P Great finds man. Keep it up
LOL - thanks brother!
Every coin collectors dream! Keep up the good work
OMF!!! Super epic!! Fantastic find!! 🤓🤓😛😛😛😱😱
Congrats on the find! We need to make sure whoever inherits our coins far down the line knows their worth and wont trade them into the bank for face like this lady.
What a nice score 🎉 love the videos 😊
Wow! I am excited for you!
GEEZ!!!!!Some guys have all the luck!CONGRATS!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Boom. Great score. I wish I could pick up all the silver the banks must see come through every day.
Imagine it - sometimes I wish I was a teller just to see the silver...
A seriously nice pull brother. Check the VAM's on those Morgan's. Unbelievable fortuitous good fortune you have. Well done.
Great video and nice 1932 SF quarter.
Dude!!! Right place, right time!! Congratulations 🥳
Rob you just hit the JACKPOT! That 1932 S is worth over $100 bucks in decent shape! Awesome finds!
I know brother - so awesome!
Wow amazing that woman had no idea what she was doing congrats rob I have a 1890 s Morgan dollar myself
I tried to explain but she literally waved a hand and almost dismissed me. I shut up and bought the coins.

You are insane! Congratulations, I hope I can get just a fraction of your luck sometime!
Sending you lucky vibes!
Good score, 1st time watcher and I love the enthusiasm for a handful of silver
The good coins must know who you are because you get all of them. I am a huge fan. Great 👍 finds today. You are the king 👑 I’ve coins.✅
Thanks Cohen. Much love and luck being sent your way!
I can't believe she didn't think to research the coins, esp since they were from her grandfather...bad day for her, good day for you.
she probably deserved that
Crazy luck Rob! That almost happened to me except the lady that was going to sell me the coins in front of us only had SBAs. Close though. Anyways, love your videos Rob, keep up the uploads!👍🏻
DANG - I bet your heart was thumping too!
Sure was!
Awesome score Mon Ami ~!~!
The 1932 and the Morgan dollar adds up to about 150.00 bux just for the two...... Can't get mad at that LOL............
BTW that is a Scottish reverse on that Shilling ...... No silver in the 63's though.....
Plus Tard ............
Nice score! Congrats!
Duuuuuude!!!! Epic! That's not even hunting, that's just a sweet score! I wish I had hafe that luck you got! Congrats.
Awesome pickup Rob!👍
Awesome! Sweet find bruh. Well done.
Awesome Bank score thanks for sharing brother 👏👏
Fantastic score!! That toned Morgan and key-date quarter are an out of this world find!
My best bank score to date was finding $53.50 in Canadian Silver Dollars and 50 cent pieces for face value, the Dollars ranged in date from 1939 to 1967, although about 75% of them were from 1966 for some reason, the 50 cent pieces ranged from the early 1900s to 1964, and one was a Newfoundland piece from the teens.
My worst bank score (missed score) to date was when i went into that same bank one day and they said "oh, you should have been here yesterday, you REALLY MISSED OUT, a lady brought it a massive collection of really old coins and bills by accident, we spent hours sorting it for deposit, but she came back and got them back from us later in the day because she realized they might be worth something". Damn it, lol.
Wow their still out there thanks just goes to show you keep your eyes open 🙂
That's Amazing!
That's an absolutely ridiculous haul!! The 32s is an incredible find. It just makes you wonder what else is sitting out there waiting to be found!
Wow! The luck!! Perfect time at the Perfect place!
Amazing find!
Amazing score!
That morgen looks great and I love the toning
Nice finds!
Good clip. So many rare finds here.
Thanks for sharing!!!
This has to be one of my favourite vids you have ever done.
Scores like this are once in a lifetime.
