Since I have had several requests for me to do another local coin shop (LCS) pickup video, as well as a junk silver purchase and hunt, I decided to go to my Local Silver Coin Dealer and kill 2 birds with one stone!
I grabbed a bag of $175 Face Value in Constitutional or Junk Silver filled with all of his available Morgan Dollars and Peace Dollars, which I was hoping would contain some coins I could at least add to my albums or to my coin collection.
I also decided to not just look for key dates or better dates but also see if I could score any of the Top 100 Morgan VAM Varieties and any of the Top 50 Peace Dollar VAM Varieties.
I'll also take a minute in this video to explain the difference between the Normal Relief and High Relief Peace Dollar.

Hey Rob you should make a mats for just Morgan's and another for just peace dollars. Even Indian heads. It would be epic for you to do so.
I also just heard on what's going on. I'm really sorry you guys aren't able to get more coins boxes truly sorry. If you have not heard the federal reserve stopped producing the coins stuff is closed right now due to Covid-19 but that is also a hint hint that knew mintage coins are starting to conjure up. I've just realized over time, I have owned a few different higher grade Morgans with die breaks, but never thought anything about them until seeing this video. I haven't really looked for VAMs on any of my Morgans. Thanks for another video.

The Morgan in the bezel is like the ones I do. Easy to remove. I would test the bezel if you do remove it. The cheaper ones are plated, but the better ones are .925. The screw will be either stainless steel or plated brass. If you want a Bail so you can put it back on a chain let me know.

I have an identical peace dollar with die breaks in same spots. Same year. I was curious too.
Hey Rob, speaking of VAM's, last week I picked up a 1900 O/O/CC VAM 8A, and a 1883 CC VAM 5A for $165 total from my LCS. First one was mis labeled on the VAM, second one was labeled as cleaned. Now, just back from PCGS, check them out. #39898134 and #39898135. Keep the good videos coming brother. Thanks for all you do.

It might be sort of cool to time-lapse the sorting of the coins, and you can highlight anything you see special. Like with your bill searches. I feel like I'm missing something fun!
I need to rebuild my Morgans and Benjis and that Walker. I dont care what state I just need to fill my books I can swap them out as I find buy or win.Dont just blame Rob I'm hoarding to plus I need to look over each coin I'm hoarding. I've got them separated by 1 5 10 25 etc.
That Morgan in the bezel looks just like the one my Grandma had. was given to me after she passed away but It was stolen a few years ago.

You might want to mention that every Morgan has a VAM designation. Even those without die breaks, cracks, clashes, etc., have a VAM number. Major VAMs are not that uncommon, but are harder to identify if they are really worn.
How did you fit all those die breaks on the 2x2 flip for the 1922D “die breaks everywhere” LoL
Peace dollars are very unique when looking at the obverse and reverse.

I know that this is a different video but lemme tell you something rob, my grandpa just gave me a 1996 Philadelphia or Denver Mint Dime and it was in stunning condition!! I said to grandpa if he gave me a West Point Mint dime, i will be soooo happy but of course because of it's rarity, i didn't got one.....

The 1899 was a really good date. It could even grade as a lowball and it could be worth a good amount of cash
it was funny you said "at the end of the day" then looked at the clock and it was 1 AM..so it was "in the early morning " haha

I'm guessing it's a very low grade, like G4 or maybe a no grade. If anyone can help explain what a cull really is I'd appreciate it!
I go to my coin shop and see the cull bin alot but have stayed away from it and have just bought grades 20 and up.
