I recently asked a question about the def related engine code. I had engine code SPN-5038 yesterday, had to get a tow. Internet said it was EGR valve related. And that was the problem along with a sensor on the exhaust pipe I guess it’s similar to oxygen sensor on a car. I think the shop got me on the repair price. $1000 but this small shop got it fixed on a Saturday and I was able to complete my Amazon run this morning.
I definitely gotta jump on this Amazon and get a truck. They’re building 4 new Amazon facilities here in Detroit and around the metro area. I’m slipping

What up Vic. We have the same yellow truck. I recently had etrack installed too. But I got 3 rows on each side. I’ve had to use all 3 but probably should have got 2. It added a little bit to my gross vehicle weight.
Big Vic when you get a chance do a video on tires. Most of these former Penske, Enterprise and Ryder trucks come with city/delivery van tires. We should have OTR tires right? May replace my steers.
I replaced my steer tires. my back tires were good as gold fairly new. I have a nice connect out here on commercial tires.
@@BiggVic I wish I could link up with your connect, I’m in Chicago tho. I just replaced all my rear tires they were recaps and 1 peeled off on the highway. Was able to make it to tire shop just replaced allwith new Michelin’s cost $2200 ouch. The steers will run around $1000. These start up cost are real. LoL.

Of us new business owners don’t know about the rolling stock tax exemption. I believe it’s call the RUT-7 tax form simple to complete. If you have interstate authority no tax on truck parts or repairs. I’ve used form for truck stuff/tires in Illinois and Indiana I just found out about it a couple weeks ago and I haven’t paid sales tax since.
What up Vic. I got the over the road steer tires installed. I got new tires all the way around and she rides like a caddy now. Was a little over $900 out the door. They brought my old tires back that knocked $300 off. Thx for all the content bro.

If you can find a truck first cool, but the authority process is a 21 business day process. I personally applied for my authority first then purchased truck.

What hotels do you stay at on the road, I'm thinking of doing some over the road after peak season is over.
The comfortable ones. The ones I stayed at are in my videos. If they look like crap I won't stay there. Comfort is something I don't put a price tag on. 😂

What’s the minimum rate per mile that you charge and also are you sleeping in the truck or staying in a room on your overnight runs or a combination of both?
You'd have to figure your cost per mile for your truck to see what your minimum is to run your business. That number is different for everyone. I break that down in more detail in my course. I've done a combination of both but I now calculate hotels into overall averages that I move freight for.

Hey vic! Question... so this morning one of my drivers badge was terminated at a amazon facility. He has done nothing wrong and is active on the relay also he is not band from the facility. I have not received and email or call why they terminated his badge. ROC mentioned to me it could be a glitch in the security system. I also reached to customer service from the relay and notified them on the matter. I would assume if he actually did something wrong they would notify me asap. Does anybody know why this happened to my driver or how to resolve this issue?
I would have him go to that specific facility and ask them to check his badge and see why it's not scanning. Could be a glitch in the matrix.
@@BiggVic security keeps telling him he is terminated but they have no reason. I haven't got a single email that my driver is terminated. Tom team and roc both say his active. Security won't help and I think you are right it is a glitch! I'm waiting on support center to reply. What els could I do? I need him on the road again.

I installed my own e Tracks i ordered them off Uline…. They not perfect line as you see in rentals but they get the job done 🤷🏾♂️

Definitely not the case. Old yella has 10 months left on the engine warranty. One thing about me is I believe in doing good business..
