Strangely one of the most unique card in clash Royale. A lot of cards like this have a very clear usage as support, offense, defence, etc. NO card in the game plays as weirdly as the wincondition that are just 3 support cards
It's kind of like Ebarbs in that way. It's not REALLY a win condition, but it's not really a defense card either, so the main way it's played nowadays is just as a kind of spam card in decks like that infamous golden knight ebarbs pump one where you either win 3-0 or don't even reach your opponent's tower
They were one of the most unique archetypes in the game. If you’d ask someone to think of a new one nobody would say 3m. Supercell should just reskin the card into something else so they can balance it properly. I always hated facing them but once they’re gone something is missing.
Honestly 3M are just bad for the overall meta when they're good, they push out so many decks that don't really have enough counters to them, like most decks with no big spell. They make the whole CR gameplay even more revolved on spells, which is not a good thing imo
3 musketeers, x-bow and drill are all high skill archetypes and have similar 1-2 % usage rates. They appear dead in ladder but one tricks like Ice entrance/Sl palomita (3m), Eragon/Betfas (xbow), Asaf/Alphqq (drill) always finish high.
It's complicated. As a 3m main (pb 2400 medals) myself I don't want it to be buffed as it will also mean a buff to musketeer which promotes cheap fireball cycle decks which makes the meta even worse. I am fine with the 3m's current state.
I doubt that anyone will ever see this comment since it's on a video that's already a year old, but I still want to say that I really enjoyed watching this and the card's tricky nature made it a truly interesting video to watch. I agreed with what you said at the end too and I personaly I think removing it would be a bad option and reducing the elixir cost would remove the whole gimmick to the card.
i really appreciate how you pick funny gameplay clips sometimes. Like the musketeers walking up and taking towers... and a rocket flies by aimed at the king tower
This really takes me back. As a hound player back then, i was always aware of and frustrated by how oppressive they were. I remember i decided to work on maxing 3M, and legitimately the day after I maxed them, the cost got raised to 10.
At this point, Supercell has to just bite the bullet and rework every card that reuses troops to use a unique version of that troop. Goblins and Barbs can’t possibly be changed if they’re in 5 different cards each. Musketeer is impossible to balance when Three Musketeers exist.
I think the only cards that can use exact versions of the same troops are cards that use skeletons/bats and goblin gang/barrel, witch is horrible and is fine spawning normal skeletons, tombstone is fine as defense, night witch is actually bad but the bats are good support, bats and skeletons themselves are good cards, goblin gang is fine as is and goblin barrel is just a miner version of 3 goblins
As someone who doesn't play or watch clash royale content This really sounded like it would have been a easy fix if they bothered to code them to be different entities instead of just spawning X amount of a troop
That's a stupid idea, why would they make a card that's supposed to spawn a specific troop different to the troop in question? It does nothing but create inconsistencies

Funny to me that they're usually very strong decks in meta but somehow i rarely ever heard people hating on them for being so strong like how they hate on egiant, rg, golem, ebarbs, xbow, hog & gob barrel when they were strong decks
@@muizmin there’s this thought that graveyard decks, no matter how broken they might have been one day, especially with SK, would always take skill. I find videos like these so funny because while everyone else is reminiscing the early state of the game is the main state I remember. I played when the game first came out for a few months n stopped playing in 2017 to lost data. I’m more familiar with all the original ways the game use to play as opposed to all the newer systems and improvements later on. I still remember not caring for the 3m due to its cost plus I never saw the appeal to using 3 of a card I didn’t care for anyway (the single card). Ironically me randomly finding the video on another character is what led me to start over and play again. It’s been long enough that the annoyance of losing my progress no longer has an effect on me😂
this card alone forces players to have a big/small+medium spell just in case they show up, you can make it impossible to push either lane for 30s and make them waste so much elixir on top of dealing good damage. Honestly, they should've just changed them into another unit with 4, weaker range+hp , but higher total dps. That would allow far more counterplay, other then stun them/kill them before they even get to shoot which not all decks can do, and if they can, that's a statement of how meta-defining it is
Hi, I'm the guy who had requested a video about the 3 Musketeers a few videos ago, I did not expect a video about it so soon and I just want to say thank you and great job. The video was informative, entertaining and provided a unique perspective about its existence and history that I had never thought of. Thank you for making a video about it and keep up the amazing content.
The rework to 3M that I've always proposed was making so they are placed in a horizontal line, 2 tiles between each of them. That way, a fire ball or rocket will only hit two of them in most cases, causing the positive trade from this to still leave the opponent with an extra musk. The only problem i could see this causing is making pocket 3M less effective, since i believe only 2 would aggro onto to tower, while the other would split off. What do you guys feel about this rework?
Never have an idea again. 3m should obviously have there elixir reduced to 6, have one removed, given cool helmets and swords, and have there movement speed increased to very fast.
These videos are really fun to watch and have made me consider playing the game. I probably won't because the barrier of entry seems huge but I'll keep watching these anyways. Nice work!

PEKKA+3musks on one side, barbs and goblins on the other, it's very rare that someone can save both towers. It's so funny seeing someone every few matches just go afk when I place my units. This is the card I used for all my progression since I started the game 7 years ago. I’m now at 6700 trophy and I finally let this card go. It’s max level and played separately behind the king’s tower allowed me to do two pushes, adding a battle ram with the solo musketeer. It’s always underestimated how much damage a single musketeer does and they always focus on the 2. If well played, the card can be pretty strong !
rage + 3m just melts towers. Add the 3x elxir gamemode (or rage gamemode) and when mirror was still +2 and there is no losing (firecrackers are a problem tho). I won 30 matches in a row one time using a 3m mirror deck. Probably had a pekka in there too or some tank. The double pushes you get from 3m are mwah. Stopped playing once they nerfed mirror back to +1. I love how anti-fun the developers are! God mirror allowed for some crazy powerful and -- most importantly -- FUN decks.
Bro how do you come ip with these it's like topics we all thought of once but never gave too much thought to it and then you come in and explain it fully keep going man we love the content
IDEA #1. (evolvecardsystem) they could decrease The Three Musketeer price to 6-7 Elixir with huge amount of less damage but with +1-2 elixir cost you could evolve so they would get damage boost and get tankier than before or IDEA #2 The Three Musketeers could be three different musketeers! With one being a tank one being a damage and one being a support they could cost 8-10 elixir but not make it overpowered also🙏🏻
3m is actually pretty good, you just need cards that are low elixir but very defensive like spear goblins to bait then knight so your musketeer/musketeers can get damage in
Can you make a video on the downfall of the elixir collector? As you said in this video this building was the most used card at top ladder at some point, but now it sees no use.
I feel like they will rise up in the next season's meta since the balance changes are hinting towards a beatdown meta, which is where I feel 3m can have somewhat of a purpose. I could be wrong, I don't use 3m
Something to remember is that probably 3m would be more fine if elixir overcharge still existed when their elixir got back to 10, since then you wouldn't leak elixir until you get just to 10.9-11 and the cycle restarts
hollow knight, octopath, minecraft osts. Like not only are you just pumping out great documentaries, you add so much by just sliding in these great soundtracks. Keep doing your thing, its just right.
12:01 "Which made the game feel more luck-based because it seemed like the determining factor of a win was what kind of deck you were up against rather than your skill level" You say this like it wasn't always like that (it was).
I’ll tell you right now, it’s been strong, weak, and obsolete at different stages. I’ve played it exclusively for nearly 8,000 games and reside at Tower 13 6,700 trophies and Grand Champion stage 2. I can count on 1 hand how many Musketeers decks I’ve played this month. My guess would be every 100 games I play I get 1 musketeer deck. It’s not easy at top ladder. I play it because the splits are fun. They make opportunities more interesting and provides VERY careful elixir management. Fireball/ log is one if the easiest ways to deal with the card and can be shut down by other projectiles if used before they reach the bridge. It’s current state in my opinion, kind of bold to use it the higher levels. Usable, but not practical. But I do it anyways for using hog is an easy cop out and everyone uses hogs and it’s boring to see every other game.
I remember when Rascals were released why weren't they just a knight and two archers behind it. Now it makes sense, since balancing units is much easier when they aren't used in different cards
It's hard to explain, but I feel like 3M is also a bit of a legacy concept. See, mobile games began as a sort of evolution of Flash Games, apparent by just how many are one and the same. And when it comes to strategy Flash Games, they often have an "Ultimate Unit" (think Nukes in RTS games, Sun God Super Monkey, and even the inspiration for PEKKA, DAVE from Backyard Monsters), something that takes the longest to grind for, costs the most to play, and has the highest strength in the game. As a whole expensive troops were kind of treated like this in the older versions of CR and Clash of Clans, where PEKKA had a slow deploy time like Golem, since it was seen as the thing you'd build up to, or was simply the strongest troop in the game before being powercrept by updates. I feel this might be the case considering how 3M cost 10 Elixir, the most any card has ever cost, and multiple points ahead of the other most expensive cards. But reality quickly set in. Sure, 3M do have really good efficiency for their cost and are therefore effective, but in a practical setting they just get taken out from long range by reactive spells. I mention PEKKA who was much the same. Sometimes it was necessary to play it on reaction instead of as a beatdown card, so the deploy time had to go down. It also just had a lot of counters as it should, so it wasn't exactly a trump card. This all reflects a trend that as time goes on, a lot of the crazy and "Wouldn't this be cool?" traits of cards have been ironed out and reduced to make them function better in an increasingly competitive setting. See E-Barbs and how the hammer eventually had to come down on their Very Fast speed.
As a top ladder player in 2018, I remember that 3 musk deck with the giant and the battle ram being the most broken deck ever, it was all over top ladder and every time i would queue up with it I would face the same deck, so i used to practice and study interactions against a friend of mine, which was super fun actually. 😎

As a non clash royale player. You made me watch for the entire time, bravo
Bro how do you come ip with these it's like topics we all thought of once but never gave too much thought to it and then you come in and explain it fully keep going man we love the content
14:54 Heyyyy, I remember those old OLJ videos, and that seemingly random rocket just destroying the 3M. The nostalgia is real.
This youtuber came out of nowhere but i feel like i watch him for years
I dont even play the game, and still got hooked on these videos. So well put together. Also the narrating voice is so soothing too. 10/10 channel.
I would really want to see elixir pump history
Are u a noob
bro what
i literally love your videos i watch them repeatedly legit the same vids again and again and im never bored!
Three hog riders would make me quit fr
The scripts for these videos keep getting better, that conclusion was so crispy. Well done sir
as someone who didn't play clash royale since 2017, it was one of my favorite card back in the days. Thx you for informing us about its origin.
IDEA #1. (evolvecardsystem) they could decrease The Three Musketeer price to 6-7 Elixir with huge amount of less damage but with +1-2 elixir cost you could evolve so they would get damage boost and get tankier than before
or
IDEA #2 The Three Musketeers could be three different musketeers! With one being a tank one being a damage and one being a support they could cost 8-10 elixir but not make it overpowered also🙏🏻
Beause of the story of the 3 musketeers. The developpers were happy with their joke.
3m is actually pretty good, you just need cards that are low elixir but very defensive like spear goblins to bait then knight so your musketeer/musketeers can get damage in
I never saw a person doing so much indept research for Clash Royale game. You have my sub, keep it up!
Can you make a video on the downfall of the elixir collector? As you said in this video this building was the most used card at top ladder at some point, but now it sees no use.
This has been my favorite card since the I started playing the game back in 2016. Still is, even with all the counters.
Well at least 3 musketeers is the best 9 elixir cards.
I don't play Clash Royale anymore but I still find your videos entertaining. Good work. I would love to watch a video about Sparky.
I feel like they will rise up in the next season's meta since the balance changes are hinting towards a beatdown meta, which is where I feel 3m can have somewhat of a purpose.
I could be wrong, I don't use 3m
Your channel is literally the most underrated thing ever
How about "spirit family" where the card contains all the spirits for like 2-3 elixir?
The choice of music in this video is just beautiful
Minecraft music?
We have 3 musketeers but not 3 mini Pekkas ??? 😤😤😤
why do these feel like cinematic masterpieces
Something to remember is that probably 3m would be more fine if elixir overcharge still existed when their elixir got back to 10, since then you wouldn't leak elixir until you get just to 10.9-11 and the cycle restarts
hollow knight, octopath, minecraft osts. Like not only are you just pumping out great documentaries, you add so much by just sliding in these great soundtracks. Keep doing your thing, its just right.
5:19 nah not three girls one fireball💀💀💀
Man, it always feels quite nostalgic when you show those old meta decks in these documentaries.... I remember them all... :D
12:01 "Which made the game feel more luck-based because it seemed like the determining factor of a win was what kind of deck you were up against rather than your skill level"
You say this like it wasn't always like that (it was).
….
That is how card games go
This man keeps making me watch videos about a game I stopped playing years ago, how can it be?
Musketeers are more fascinating than Supercell's latest pass update
8:09 is this pump or musketeer video? I am not sure
The background music really added to this video
You should make a video about the most balanced card.
I remember when Rascals were released why weren't they just a knight and two archers behind it.
Now it makes sense, since balancing units is much easier when they aren't used in different cards
2:12 well that's irony
sup
They were better when we had the hidden 11th elixir lmao
3 Musks were my favorite archtype to play and my main so happy they got a video
I have a weird idea make them separate make the 3m a new troop so they can be balanced like a 3 of a new troop
The Three dudes and then just make three hunters
me, with a time machine, going back in time to write a novel called the three elixar golems
If she was still 5 Elixier we probably would have gotten a 2 Musketeers card for 8 Elixier
The whole point of the card is to be a reference to The Three Musketeers.
@@mite3959 yeah but you can't have 3 5 Elixier Musketeers for 9 Elixier
@@breaderikthegreat3224 But you can for 10 elixir
As a top ladder player in 2018, I remember that 3 musk deck with the giant and the battle ram being the most broken deck ever, it was all over top ladder and every time i would queue up with it I would face the same deck, so i used to practice and study interactions against a friend of mine, which was super fun actually. 😎
What is the creepy eerie music at 11:25
Oh yipee, a 30 minute video about a clash royale card.
I feel like the only reason they exist is because someone at Supercell HQ said something like "Hehe you know that novel, three musketeers? Well what if we make a card that's literally three musketeers!" and then someone didn't understand it was just a joke and actually implemented it in the game
