    Love your videos. Buy a... " GOAL ZERO YETI 3000X PORTABLE POWER STATION " . Standard RV batteries are usually really weak or cheap. Got the Yeit 3000x for my Cirrus 820 Truck Camper, solved my battery issues, and its quiet, ( unlike a noisy gas generator ), so much better. Runs my electric needs, Microwave, TV, Refrig, Computer, lights, ect.. for weekend, then recharges from truck engine and or solar power. Even powers my 2 burner induction cook top easy ( I don't like my gas stove in the camper ) Just my opinion, but works for me. Keep the great videos coming.

    We've been RV'ing for over 10 years, and the key to happiness is to buy a brand that stands by their products. Too many are garbage with no solution to the problems. Airstream is still king because they take care of their customers.

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Hi Rounder355, agreed! The reason we choose Airstream when we decided to buy another class B is the customer service. There are Airstream dealers that we can bring our rig to get fix if problems arise. With other manufacturers we have to find some RV repair place and ask them to do paper work for warranty repairs. Such a headache….

    Very nice Class B. My wife and I are considering one soon. I was surprised just how expensive they are and everyone seems to come with problems. Knowing about these issues we think it’s important to stick with a dealer like Winnebago or Air Stream to have the nationwide dealer support.

      Hi Chris, thank you! There is such a high demand for it nowadays that’s why there is none or not much discount for it. You are right about having national wide dealer support. That is one of the reason we choose Airstream. We had a hard time finding RV repair shop for our previous 2019 class B. The time to get in was long and we have to wait for them to get approval for warranty work.

    It seems like all RV'S have issues.
    Some have more than others. Wish that there was better quality control before they release them to the customer. But having good customer service will separate the bad from the good brands. I bought my RV from Midwest Automotive Designs and had a few tiny things that needed fixing but they were quick to sign off on the repairs and things have been smooth ever since.
    These RV'S have a lot of bells and whistles and they are difficult to find all the glitches and you were able to find the problems and got them fixed. I too have found those clear rubber pads helpful. I like the felt pads as well to squash annoying vibrations. I always keep a backup in the a drawer.
    Congratulations on your New RV!

      We love the Midwest Automotive Designs too. We were apprehensive about not having a Midwest dealers like Airstream dealers in CA. I am glad to hear that they were quick to sign off on your repairs. We have a small container of clear bumpers, felt pads, Velcro, 3M double sided tape in the van all the time. We play rattles detective work very often since we drive the van on unpaved roads sometimes and that causes more rattling. Lol

      Hi John, we are constantly fixing squeaking and rattling noises. Lol
      Right now we just figured out how to stop the rattling noise by the sliding door. We put some rubber pads there before but now it rattles again so we found that by sliding part of the kitchen towel between the inside and door panel it stopped. So now we have to find something more permanent to put in between there. Airstream of Los Angeles actually took off the frame by the sink and did something to quiet some noise we had before around there also.

    I’m always surprised that a brand new Airstream seems to always have problems. Why aren’t these completely tested before turning it over to he consumers? You’d think 🤔 there would be some more insurance of ZERO problems on a brand new coach…or anything Airstream. Like that door…it should’ve never been a problem, the water 💦 (yikes! Leaks! How did it ever leave the inspection at the warehouse?). All those things along with the rattles should’ve been fixed or disclosed prior to paying for it ~ just my opinion. I KNOW it’s a tiny house on wheels…but so does Airstream & in fact, they knew when they built it.

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  2 года назад +2

      Agreed with all your points. The dealer did tested everything when we picked it up but then the water pump failed the next day. The ride was so quiet and then the rattles and squeaks started after we drove it for more than 2K miles. So I don’t how they could have prevented those problems. I wish they could so we don’t have to continually fixing them on our own. Actually new rattles just happened after we drove it off road in Joshua Tree National Park. That pump and leak issue is really bothersome to me. I realize it does not happen to everyone, but that is not acceptable for what you paid for that rig. Yeah we were pretty surprised with the water pump leaked on the second day for the amount of money that we bought it for. We found out 2 weeks later on the Facebook group that another owner also had the water pump leak. So my guess is someone didn’t tighten the connections correctly during production. Airstream needs to have better quality control. If you join different FB groups and read about all the problems, you might not want to deal with all these problems. We know what we are getting into and are willing to deal with the issues as they come up. For us the joy and ease of use out weight the troubles that come with owning an RV.

We really desire safety, reliability, and dependability as we hope for few interruptions in expectation of being on the road for a month at a time or even more. I realize this coach is not designed for full time or long-term travel. We will certainly be staying in hotels and resorts along the way, but if we are in small town or out of the way places and have a bigger problem like the pump leak, we would be very unhappy. Trying to find a dealership in some of our destinations would be impossible. @@BrianAz We plan to stay at campgrounds and hotels for longer trips in the futures also. Most of the problems will be the coach part not the Mercedes chassis. You can still continue on with your trip and stay in hotels if anything major in the coach breaks down. Like for us when we the water pump broke, we can still use the bathroom but we just poured some water in the toilet to rinse it clean and flushed. If our fridge stops working in the future then we just eat out. Lol
      We always have a nice comfortable tiny home to travel in. I think as long as you have solutions for the problems while waiting to get it fixed you can still enjoy your trips. It is a big purchase for sure.

    This is why I hesitate to buy a RV because you pay close to 200k and within days basic stuff starts breaking. The RV sector has probably the lowest quality standards of all vehicles on the market.

    • @BamBamRVAdventures
      @BamBamRVAdventures  2 года назад

      Hi Tom, totally get how you feel and you are correct on the quality of the RV sector compared to standard vehicles. We could buy a few reliable, quiet Lexus with the same amount of money. After we sold our class B Roadtrek while waiting for our Airstream on order, we read so many problems from owners who just picked up theirs 2021. My husband had second thoughts but as the months went by he came to accept that’s how the RVs are even when we are paying almost double the price of our previous 2019 Roadtrek. Logically It doesn’t make sense at all but because it’s something we really wanted so we had to adjust our expectations. I told my husband let’s just enjoy it as much as we can before something else breaks. Lol
