The thing is the shooter was a legal gun owner just like the one in Buffalo and the one before him and the one before him all were legal gun owners The only difference here is he didn’t kill 20 people and taken into custody without a scratch on him like the rest finally someone took their life into their own hands and killed this shooter who should have never been able to purchase a firearm in the first place

The good guy with a gun is 22 years old, and probably never imagined himself in this situation, or, he imagined it, but never believed it would be a reality. So young, and so brave, and he will go through many emotions and have many thoughts regarding this unfortunate experience in his life. Yes, he's saved lives, and in our eyes is a hero, but let's give him the grace and space to process a very real and traumatic ordeal. Responsible gun owners hope to never need to exercise that right.

They just changed the laws here in Indiana. You don't have to obtain a license to carry any longer. This story rings loud and is a true example of why we need more law abiding gun carrying citizens to protect the public when the police can't get there quick enough.
No disrespect to the Police, but it would've been a lot worse if they had to wait for them. Every second and minute counts, and could mean more lives lost. God bless all the families involved.

@@mikebrigandi_ Well, Jesus has certainly been doing a spectacularly shitty job lately of protecting "us", hasn't he? 🤔. You say you "can't believe" this happened in America? Have you been living under a rock or something? What about all those kids gunned down in Uvalde - why didn't he intervene then? I bet most of them were Catholic. Maybe he could have inspired the lazy, cowardly, very well-armed cops to save some lives. Or with the countless other mass shootings that happen every day here in the US?
I have the answer: because it has nothing to do with a character in one of about 2000 fictional religions, and everything to do with the reality of gun laws (lax) and gun availability (high) in this country. And lots of compounding issues, like mental health, societal decay, distrust and disenfranchisement of mostly younger white dudes that are unhappy that they're now experiencing what the rest of us have been dealing with on some level for much of our country's history.
But, back to the guns and Jesus, et's look at some stats:
      Most gun deaths by country:
      worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/gun-deaths-by-country
Most and least religious countries in the world:
      www.infoplease.com/world/culture-entertainment/most-least-religious-countries
Note that Australia is one of the least religious and has the lowest % of gun deaths, so Jesus has no reason to protect them. China - the least religious country in the world - isn't even listed on the gun deaths list...because they just don't own guns over there. No need for Jesus, Good Samaritans, Good Guy with a Gun, etc., etc. And, countries like India, that are both highly religious AND don't have a lot of gun deaths...well, they are mostly Hindu, so worship a non-Christian god, so Jesus doesn't protect them. Also, they don't have access to guns over there.
See any pattern here? More guns available = more gun-related killings. It's quite literally that simple. Imaginary deities play no part, one way or another, since they are all just made-up mythologies from human imaginations.

So did the shooter...this good Samaritan proved why we shouldn't ban guns altogether but let's not skip over the fact the killer was using a gun as well. Something needs to be done, a law abiding gun owner should have no problems with having to go through a more rigorous process to get a firearm because they have no reason to oppose making less criminals able to purchase a gun legally (or illegally but that's another discussion). It makes everybody safer and isn't that the reason law abiding gun owners carry in the first place?

I had no direct involvement in this specific incident, but want to say, THANK YOU for stepping in, being a responsible gun owner and showing how we can help prevent what things that could become MAJOR death tolls and turning the incident into something smaller. Don't get me wrong - this is ALL TERRIBLE - the loss of life always is, I'm just stating how it could have been hundreds of people dead. I pray for the families who lost loved ones, and for the "good samaritan", as I know playing a part (even a needed part) in anyone's death can be a very heavy load to carry, especially at such a young age. Indiana JUST passed Conceal & Carry permits very recently (May 2022) . . . had they not, this individual would not have been prepared or able to "help fix the situation" and save lives. . . . With all the ammo the shooter had, it could have been a tremendous amount of loss of lives without this bill being passed and having that man in the area when it all started. Prayers . . .

It had more casualties. People were killed. Because the shooter had a gun. Because guns are so incredibly unregulated in this country.

This is why I don't leave my house much anymore, this stuff is literally happening every single day in all states.. Imagine wanting attention and to be known so bad you kill people for it. We give them a platform on every news station and make sure everyone knows who they are and they love it and it feeds more people to do it.

These are my thoughts…maybe all school children should go on strike until they ban weapons of mass destruction. They are the ones putting their lives on the line. Like sitting ducks cuz we all know it is going to happen again? Just a matter of who where and when. Why should they have to live in fear and go through active shooter drills. When I think of the psychological damage this is doing to our kids and all the lives that have been destroyed. They are the victims and this country is putting them in harms way for what? Money and politics. Not second amendment rights. we do not want to take away your weapons for self defense and hunting. Just weapons of mass destruction that blow little children apart. And STILL no one has explained to me the need for having weapons of mass destruction on the streets for any nut job to get legally. Shameful . I am ashamed for this country. It’s insanity. My son is a high schooler and going back to school soon. We shouldn’t have to live in fear like this

What's up with all of the young mass shooters? Something seems amiss - is some anti-gun or possibly foreign entity behind this recent spike? How did the Uvalde shooter get such expensive kit - 2 Daniel Defense guns approx $4000 plus at least a thousand in ammo. Why did the Uvalde commander not act in a manner consistent with basic LE training? I smell conspiracy.

@Alexei Smirnoff I mean you are right, but its not realistic. There are guns everywhere in the u.s. anyone can get one, anyone can make one themselves. There is no way to realistically keep someone from having one if they want one. We need to figure out a different way to live with them. We need to start creating a country and a world that isn’t so divided and intolerant of each other. We need to live together peacefully. We need to be rid of the hate people have and realize there isn’t just two sides to everything.

Guess UK just doesn't Trust its own citizens to defend themselves.

@@et7758 the innocent children could have been prevented in so many ways:
First- we are in a fallen world where there is evil
Second- there’s only one way to stop an evil person with a gun and that is a good person with a gun-
Third- get rid off “gun free zones” because to criminals that’s an invitation.
And to not bored you or hurt your true and justifiable emotions “ I agree with you - it should have never happen “
Just look at California as criminals face very little resistance or non at all.
I also dream of a World without evil, but friend - that’s a dream.
Study Israel- no crime whatsoever and every one is arm to the teeth- opppse to Chicago and other Blue States that love the killing of blacks and minorities.
Why don’t the government address the real problems that they have created themselves.
