    Well I bought one and its kinda ok. The r134 tank gets super hot and cycles multiple times. Needs a bigger fan. Mine is only 3 months old. They should have a propane model also

      What kind of battery setup do you have? And do you have solar? Thanks for your help

      If it was a propane model it would be a completely different design that would be an absorption refrigerator

    Just bought a brand new Alpha Wolf with this fridge. The refrigerator stopped working before we even got to take it out for our first trip. Was told a number of these had to be replaced with brand new ones. Will be putting in the shop in two weeks to have fixed. First two trips taking out has to be with extra coolers.

      Same here, stopped working and don’t know why. Service dept. is busy for another two weeks. Did you get it diagnosed or replaced?

    I put a 7.5 cubic foot RCA refrigerator in my RV obviously it runs on 110 but it is nearly identical to this and cost me $246 if you are connected to ShorePower frequently this might be a good option for you because it is much cheaper and works just as well if not better

    50w/hr is just over 4 amps, that's 100 amp/hours in a 24hr period, which will completely drain a typical RV battery (in fact, since you should not drain your battery past 50%, you will only get 12 hours of running time).

    Will it fit in the same spot as a 7 cu ft fridge like what Lance uses in their travel trailers? Love this! When we buy a new RV it will not leave the lot without this replacing the "fire breathing dinosaur" absorption style fridge. Wish more RV manufacturers would go to this fridge....especially Winnebago Class C's

    Man, in theory this is a great fridge. In practice, my door latches are so far off the fridge latch slides under the catch and the freezer latch is in the middle of the hole. Neither are secured in the latch. Otherwise it keeps stuff cold, but to have just bought a 2021 camper and have this sort of problem right out of the gate?.. I'm not sure if it's an installation problem or a problem with the fridge, but I'm going to have to get it replaced under warranty, and being someone who works on the road and lives in his rv, it's kind of a big deal.

    • @darrenjetton1505
      @darrenjetton1505 3 года назад

      Same for me. 2021. Latch so far out it' not funny. no quality control with these. I am having to design and build a latch that works for a fridge that is brand new.
      furoin needs to step up an supply replacement latches.

      sounds more like a you problem and not the refrigerator if you have blown fuses you must have too much electricity going to the refrigerator this refrigerator works superior compared to an absorption refrigerator however I would recommend to the other person commenting that if you are a frequently connected to shore power just put a residential unit in from like home Depot and save yourself a lot of money

      Mine has an auto reset breaker under the front of the coach not a fuse, its bolted to a bus bar, the positive side is an 8 ga. green wire on my Alpha Wolf.

    I tried to buy one for three weeks. They kept telling me they would be in stock soon. Then they eventually said six to eight weeks. Very offhand sales service. Ended up buying an everchill for two thirds of the cost. Not impressed with the company.

    How do you turn off this fridge when not in use ?

    • @furrionusa
      @furrionusa  4 года назад

      Hi Sharon,
      Once you want to turn off your fridge, just contra-rotate
      temperature control knob to make sure the small arrow
      point to “6 O'clock point”.
      The fridge will not work for cooling down compartments.

    • @schlz69
      @schlz69 3 года назад

      @@furrionusa yes, but the light stays on, so if you store with a trickle charge, you need to either tape down the door switch, pull the bulb or disconnect the power from the fridge, which on my trailer is under the front of the coach

      Expect it to turn about 50% of the time and you can figure out what it's daily draw will probably be (not great). I think the Recpro is a lot better.

    The Matte Black door panels are junk. Hundred dollars for a piece of paneling with shelf paper on it. For what the fridge costs you would think it would better quality. Very disappointing.

    Super noisy, loud fan on and off you go camping for peace and quiet this is so loud you can't have a conversion. Poor design and cheap fan.

  • @schlz69
    @schlz69 3 года назад +1

    I have one of these, I had to adjust the latch, and even file part of the catch so the door would close, as well as open without a hang up, poor design. the fridge is a power hog, 5-5.2 amps running (tested with a Klein multi meter) also Forest river is nice enough to not wire in a power switch, but hard wire to a bolted in circuit breaker under the front of the coach. and the control inside the fridge does not fully turn the fridge off, so there is a draw until you tun off the master power switch to the coach, there should be an integrated power switch like Norcold has.
