    • @brajeshsingh2391
      @brajeshsingh2391 3 года назад

      but this movie gives every possible indication that Brian is alive. Look I am not huge fan of F9. In fact I dislike it but this movie gives every possible indication that Paul Walker would be replaced by somebody. Our kids are with Brian and then at the dinner table there is a seat empty. Plus a car pulling off at their door steps. So its obvious that somebody is returning and its a strong indication its Brian.
      I would hate to call F&F a franchise. A franchise is based on a concept. And this does not have one. Its essentially about a group of characters, and some car chases. There is no concept here. And frankly its hard to keep a franchise going for so long. So the makers have tried putting in new ingredients to the mix. New characters, back stories, and more and more over the top set pieces.
      Its really going to be hard to keep it going. They have given strong hints that there is probably another one. That probably may be the last one. I really do not see this franchise having a lot of fuel left.

    I've always thought that F7 should've been the last movie, I know several more movies were confirmed way before Paul Walker's death, but why? Here it is: It finally connects with Tokyo Drift, it showed us the real villian behind all, the character of Han actually gets justice by putting the bad guy behind bars, there's a really sweet connection with the fourth movie, among other reasons. My only minor issue with the franchise is that since Vin Diesel came back in 2009 as an executive producer, they gave Dom more light that Brian and remember that originally the story was centered on Brian. Since F&F4 both characters should've received the same importance

      I felt like Five should've been it. The first, fourth, and fifth films work so well together and tell one large story arc. Not to mention, it's a happy ending with all involved. Also, I feel like the later films destroyed Hobbs' character. Dwayne was great in Fast Five, and I like to imagine him as a one-off character who's just waiting for the day Dom does something so he can finally bring him in.

For BvS , Snyder wanted to make a prequel movie about Batfleck but since WB wanted to rush , he had to do everything from building up tensions, introducing characters in a 3 hr time frame . WW 3rd act was a mess bcuz of WB . They wanted to remove No man lands scene as well . BvS was cut down to 2.5 hr after the movie was finished. WB screwed everything from the start .

    Ironically, the Vault stunt was largely practical. They built one that was capable of being dragged and then another that was a car inside of the vault so it could be driven through the streets. That said, I completely understand your point. In F5, as the action escalated to a point of absurdity, the action still had consequences on the characters and on the plot contributing to organically heightened stakes. The group was forced to flee the country and commit crimes as a consequence for breaking Dom out of jail, that's how they managed to get the chip. Finding out Mia was pregnant forced the group to change their plan and steal the money to "retire" and raise a family. Hobb's team was murdered which forced him to temporarily join forces with the group etc... Actions still had consequences which contributed to heightened stakes.

    • @castortroy1853
      @castortroy1853 3 года назад +3

      You nailed it. There were stakes. In Five, you felt like, if Hobbs catches them, they don't stand a chance. He was a palpable threat. Dom didn't fight him until he had to. Most of the time, he ran from him. There's none of that anymore. I guess I shouldn't compared the later movies to Five because Five is, I think, one of the best action movies ever made.

    Hobbs & Shaw was good fun, too long, but good fun. The most WTF moment was Hobbs holding the chain hooked onto the helicopter with one hand and the truck his other... Channelling his unknown Black Adam powers there!
    I'm starting to think that perhaps Fast 5 to F9 is really just Riddick dreaming when in cryo-sleep... The longer he's in cryo-sleep, the longer his dreams as Dom on Earth become absurd. Post-Credits scene with F10, Riddick wakes up on Furya. heh. Probably explains why Dom can channel his "Fury," even though he's almost as ridiculously superhuman in "Chronicles of Riddick" and "Riddick" sometimes. See, it's just Riddick dreaming. ;)
    Admittedly, I have enjoyed some of the movies, but when nobody's getting legit hurt or killed (with the exception of Gal Gadot's character, whom I wouldn't be surprised if she "returned" in F10), it's gets beyond ridiculous. Not even a scratch, come on.
