Math doesn't add up, 5 million paycheck on a 5 million budget for Beach Bum??? Everyone else involved didn't work for free, I assure you. A lot of his "flops" are excellent movies!
Great catch! He definitely didn’t eat up the entire budget. A more accurate estimate would probably be $500k-$1M. I also agree that many of his 'flops' are great movies, even if they didn’t perform at the box office as expected.
