I'm not saying he's not wasted in this video (he spent a lot of the Husker years on meth and possibly more), but even now that he's sobered up he has the same sleepy oddly roving eyes when playing live. I'm just glad there's a visual record of a full Husker Du show, and wish there were more.
Just wasted around twenty minutes of my life attempting to find some U.S. punk worth watching...Black Flag, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, you name it...none of them come anywhere near the Huskers. They just pissed all over all of those bands from a lofty height. Husker Du, Mission of Burma & the Minutemen took hardcore punk to a special place!
