Husker rocks again. I was born in 88', at least a few of you guys have it better than me.

I love Warehouse. Their previous ones are much stronger, no doubt, with some of their best work, but I always find myself coming back to Warehouse. It just hits me in a way, different from their other albums. But don’t get it twisted, I love all of their releases!

this band is fucking great. all the melodic 'punk bands' that followed Nirvana included don't hold a candle. these guys had lyrics which none of the 90's bands had.

yeah chokito, thanks alot man. for a fan like me its so hard to really get stuff on Husker Du anywhere. some persepective: i was born in 1987, next time mould or grant are playing in my area im definitely checking them out.

Mr. Norton, Saw photos from 8/5/06 @ First Avenue. Good to see you with your bass again. Hell, I still listen to my Grey Area tape (Little Sweden USA)!!!

Wow, I never heard Norton sing. Yeah, I was born in 1987 too. It sucks, all my favorite bands were broken up by the time I either heard of them or was old enough to go to their shows. Husker Du, Sugar, Jawbox, Burning Airlines...at least Mould still does great solo stuff and J. Robbins (from Government Issue, Jawbox, and Burning Airlines) is in Channels now.

Watch Grant Hart kick out the linebacker as Mould springs into the hole. And there is Greg Norton brushing aside the safety as Mould rumbles toward paydirt!

I belive that "Everytime" didn't make the cut because of the choppy lyrics in the verses. Which is one of the best things about the tune in my opinion. In retrospect I think that it should have been on the album.

I think Warehouse is amazing.. just different. But I see where you're coming from. I guess Huskers were never a band to look back or whatever. Their material could do with a remaster or a remix... that would be special.

completely agreed. Just saying that's lot of bands covered hd, as music's style. And that "don't hold a candle" makes me laugh. I'm italian and never heard this. I't's a nice "paragon". We got lot of this phrases. Sorry about my horrible english.

..don't hold a candle..ah ah aha..well said! one of the very first Green Day's album, is a nice copy of husker's du, well done but "listen before" for us.

I agree dude, it shoulda been on Warehouse. I wonder what Greg thought about it being relegated to B-side status...

me. is one of mine biggest regrets too..and i didn't see Sugar too...it was a little bit difficult for me, cause i'm italian, but..

It's difficult to get an idea from this tape if the sound wsa actually unbalanced, but Hart was having heroin problems which may have been a big issue if he was a little fucked up. It helped to break HD. Which was a shame.

I now sign my name with an umlaut over the A in my surname. For Huskur Du. (sorry i can't do it on my laptop).

That is correct emannyc. "Husker Du is an embarrassment to superstar acts who come off of their mountaintops with their stone tablets every three years." Probably the best journalist to cover the band was David Fricke of Rolling Stone. If you can find "The Living End" (2LP live-set) his comments are memorable.

VERY badly recorded... whilst I love all the Husker albums it seems like they were cursed in the studio, production wise. Warehouse just sounds so thin and sterile, it's got NO balls whatsoever. Still love it though!

I saw Husker Du at the Cannery in Nashville probably a month or two before this. I was pretty disappointed actually -- I was a big Zen Arcade fan and all they played was stuff off of Warehouse, which I always felt a) was not that great an album to begin with, and b) was badly recorded.
