People forget Diane was an actual person who met a horrible fate. It was all over the news in the Twin Cities. I personally love the song also but always try to remember there was a family that now only has memories of Diane.
This song showcases Grant's genius songwriting prowess. He actually puts you into the mind of Joseph Ture (Diane's killer) much like how Truman Capote puts you in the killer's mind with _"In Cold Blood"._ R.I.P. Grant, you wrote and performed a true masterpiece of a song.
this is one of my fav HD songs exactly because of the part where the guitar enters after the opening bass/drum intro: that distorted guitar line just cuts to my sou!

wow, fantastic. I love this band. Greg Norton is so cool.

Indeed, well said. That's the reason this song hits like a ton of bricks everytime
That scumbag is still serving his sentence at Stillwater Prison. No AC and lots of extortion 😅😅
@@user-oh4mx6vv8v Just as he deserves.

This is rock! Three dedicated guys can with brain, nerve and balls - my respect.

i love this so fuckin beautiful *cries* i love it
I remember a writer claiming that Bob Mould's guitar sounded like someone dropping a tray full of champagne glasses in a church. He ain't wrong.
Fantastic! Therapy? brought me to Husker Du ...

Great take..Husker Du freakin rules...always have, always will!!!!
This performance makes the Metal Circus version seem so...asleep, I guess. Long live Husker Du!
wish I was there right now
great!!!
This track was the first sign there was more to them than 4 to the floor hardcore - nice post
@hajomajor Yeah, always loved the sound of his snare. In my opinion the best one was in the video from pink pop 87 when they played eight miles high
Great song,,one of my faves. Does anybody remember the black and white video for it from back in the day? That's what I was searching for.
that's a good thing!
I like Norton's riff on this.
I agree with you 100%. even if I like Therapy? :)
never knew that. chlling.
the stoopid director focused on the bass player during the guitar solo
