This is an amazing video, I've been off social media since the start of the year and deleted all useless apps. My screen time can reach an hour or so but that's mostly spent studying and is quite rare. It's crazy how this technology has a grasp on so many so easily; most my friend's screen times average 5 hours a day and they mock that I dislike going on my phone and being in the real world. They spend the time scrolling on Instagram or TikTok every second they are bored, honestly I've never sat down and talked to some of them 1 on 1 with no distractions for a very long time - I'm not sure what to say about that.
Thank you! I’m hoping to have some more insightful videos like this soon. And yeah it sucks that In order to send a message like this it requires you to send the message on the platform that I’m telling someone to avoid.
i just came across your channel and it’s pretty awesome. Ive had snapchat deleted for over 2 years now, and it really made me realize who my “friends” were and who weren’t. It also helped me to fall out of the trap of needing to post everything about my life, and really just work on myself.
Good job my brother. I needed a new hip and could barely walk for four years and all I did was watch and read online. I'm probablly a lot different from most as I'm not a kid- I'm over 60 - and I am definitely not a man who watches or reads mind-numbing dumb stuff. I watch History vids, and read read read. It's the same as holding a book in my hands. There is zero difference. So I don't consider it as 'wasted time' whatsoever. I watch tons of motivational material and study subjects that I find interesting. Now all that said, I had my surgery and now have a brand new artificial hip! I am gingerly walking but soon will be back to hiking and cycling and I can't wait. Like all things, the Web is a divine idea. Like a gun is a divine idea or any other thing. These 'things' can be used for good or they can be 'used negatively.' You are correct, more often than not, people use the divine idea of the web to 'waste time' on nonsense. It can be used for truly getting an education! I am retired and made my mark in this world. Three incredibly successful careers. I remember the times in my long life when the only time I could even 'play' on the internet was over the Christmas Holidays because my thriving businesses allowed NO time for piffle. And you are right. If you are a successful businessman there is NO WAY you have time for such nonsense. But on the other hand, I was in real estate for years so my eyes were glued to my monitors most of the day as my eyes were being used in business pursuits. There is a proper way to use such a tool and there is mind-numbing incredibly horrible 'way' to use this technology.
Hey Steve thank you for the comment! I believe when it’s used constructively for education it’s a great thing as well. Glad to hear your hip is recovering and It’s awesome that you’re so driven. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to write this comment and I hope your 2025 goes well!

The sweet sweet - silence of no internet.
Now - its only you and the demon you have fostered.

Likewise, it’s a great way to see what’s real and what isn’t
