I totally relate to your relationship woes. Never again will I ever support any romantic partner going through turmoil. It's not my job. It's the job of a therapist and the person's support system

Good job my brother. I needed a new hip and could barely walk for four years and all I did was watch and read online. I'm probablly a lot different from most as I'm not a kid- I'm over 60 - and I am definitely not a man who watches or reads mind-numbing dumb stuff. I watch History vids, and read read read. It's the same as holding a book in my hands. There is zero difference. So I don't consider it as 'wasted time' whatsoever. I watch tons of motivational material and study subjects that I find interesting. Now all that said, I had my surgery and now have a brand new artificial hip! I am gingerly walking but soon will be back to hiking and cycling and I can't wait. Like all things, the Web is a divine idea. Like a gun is a divine idea or any other thing. These 'things' can be used for good or they can be 'used negatively.' You are correct, more often than not, people use the divine idea of the web to 'waste time' on nonsense. It can be used for truly getting an education! I am retired and made my mark in this world. Three incredibly successful careers. I remember the times in my long life when the only time I could even 'play' on the internet was over the Christmas Holidays because my thriving businesses allowed NO time for piffle. And you are right. If you are a successful businessman there is NO WAY you have time for such nonsense. But on the other hand, I was in real estate for years so my eyes were glued to my monitors most of the day as my eyes were being used in business pursuits. There is a proper way to use such a tool and there is mind-numbing incredibly horrible 'way' to use this technology.

Hey Steve thank you for the comment! I believe when it’s used constructively for education it’s a great thing as well. Glad to hear your hip is recovering and It’s awesome that you’re so driven. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to write this comment and I hope your 2025 goes well!

Yes, when we keep obsessing over something we blow it WAY out of proportion as if it's the only thing that has happened in your life. We must learn 'how' to forgive ourselves for not being perfect. We came into this world without a manual to refer to.....and, if we do not have any positive role models we end up lost and that's not our fault. It's nobody's fault. Think about it. My DVR has a 74 page manual and we are born and given NOTHING. And when we don't have any parents or role models were just out here trying to figure things out. I allow myself to smoke pot after 6pm in the evening. I'm not going to give up everything. It's just a habit. I don't believe in addictions. We once called these 'bad habits'.......much softer than the word addiction. The biggest habit in the USA is over-eating. Now that's a really bad habit but no one talks about it. It's accepted while other bad habits are not. Journaling is essential and write about your emotions during the day. Trying meditation and slowing down our mind really helps

wow, i can't express how much you've helped me see things - and depression - differently. mentally, i've been pretty down bad for a few months now (mainly because of the high school-to-college transition i went through this semester) and have felt like i've hit rock bottom. i was actually taking notes from the very beginning of your video till the end and am so excited to implement these changes into my life. you're amazing - keep spreading your light! xx

7:50 nah man, it is motivation. A lot of people have it backwards. Doing the thing, inevitably raises your motivation. Just like getting our of bed. At first you don't want to, and once you're fully out you just kinda flow.
