His awkward perviness was part of what made me love his character. You can write a perfect genius character no problem, but humanising them, giving them faults while still maintaining their dignity is where it turns into art
I also thought of him as way too greedy. Everyone is making huge sacrifices for the resistance and Piero was like "i can answer that... FOR MONEY". Like when you have to actually buy the king's street brandy from him to persuade Sokolov to talk. Always felt weird to me.

Dakota King He doesn't dislike Daud, he just finds Daud boring. Daud was one of the rare few lucky enough to be given magical powers. Instead of using it to shape history or make his mark on the world, he just became a hired killer, and had no real ambition beyond forming his little assassin gang.
Though he did shape history, subtly at first with the assassinations of nobles and other marks, but then... well we all know what Daud's most "Interesting" targets were. But yes, I think the Outsider gradually grew bored with Daud.

On an unrelated note, does anybody know what piano piece is played during the final episode? I assume it's probably just a short composition they made for that episode, but may as well ask.
It appears to be either the Main theme, it's most likely the beginning of Honor For All (AKA what plays during the Outsider's monologe during the ending), or a small piece that playing during Wrenhaven River. All of these tracks are part of the main soundtrack, but the full version of Honor For All, AKA the one that includes that part, is hard to find.
The first vid gives a deeper depth into how the city Dunwall came to be what it is in the game. Roseburrow found Whale Oil to be a fuel, and Sokolov helped him create futuristic weapons and vehicles etc. The second tells of the Outsider, who has a role to play in the whole universe. and the third tells the story of the man who created the mask which Corvo, the main character, came to wear. So they both act as a prelude of sort, BUT also to give depth into the universe in form of short stories.
I'm pretty sure by giving the kid magic the Outsider enabled the boy to initiate the spread of the plague. A note in the doctors office in the High Overseer mission explains that the rats carrying the plague are fundamentally different from regular ones. I believe the second video is meant to explain how the plague came to be. In a sense, it seems like the Outsider was using the boy to create the plague and put into motion the events of the game.
The problem with your theory is: the outsider did not create the plague, it already existed and was Hiram Burrows (Lord Regent) who bring the plague in order to kill the poors (you can find this in the non-lethal elimination method of lord regent in the safe box of his room), but it went out of his hands and no one was safe from the plague. Maybe the boy was the reason the plague of rats gets out of control, but who bring it to Dunwall was Hiram Burrows
