Some of these differences are actually detected/undetected. The ‘unknown assailant’ on the posters lasts as long as you don’t get spotted at all. For the Lord Regent’s Zoom call, he comes downstairs if you haven’t spotted in that mission in the outdoors section.

I remember branding Campbell, the Pendleton's, kidnapping Sokolov and Boyle and signing Corvos name at the Boyle party, which was HILARIOUS and insulting. There was a note from Captain Tobias to Regent Burrows, they were pretty sure it was a messed up joke or actually Corvo. It might contribute to Chaos, not sure. I always will sign the Guest list though just to be mean.

  • @Rajoovi1

Tbh that last clip is ultimate disrespect on Corvo's part. Dude's like public enemy number 1 with wanted posters literally all over the city, and he signs the guest book with his full name before killing/kidnapping a highly influential figure at her own party. Pretty much an ultimate F- you to the state. Love it.

Don't forget that he's also wearing the mask of a famous outlaw, as far as the government knows there were two wanted men who were possibly there. Imagine how it must be from the other perspective. You throw a party and either one of your sisters gets abducted or she, and perhaps other people, are killed.
And in the aftermath a servant tells you that your guest book was signed by the one dude everyone thinks has killed the empress and who might be the masked assailant considering that only a short time after he escaped, high profile people started dropping and a masked dude started roaming streets.
Or imagine an investigator coming to the slaughter that the high end party has become and seeing that name in last place in the guest book.

I think I read a fanfic where there was a short excerpt from Daud's perspective
He got told by his servant that Corvo had been half poisoned, stripped of his weapons, bound hand and foot, and still got away
Kind of like what we hear in the game
And he sighed, told them to leave, and sat down in a chair to reflect for a moment
He felt a knife poke in his back, instantly knew it wasn't a blade the assassins normally use, and 'took it for the message that it was'.
I thought it was an awesome touch

Corvo is a great bodyguard though. He canonically fought and won against multiple assassins until they pulled Void Powers. Unless you are a specially equipped overseer or another Void power user, you don't have a chance against those. After he gets his mark, he is also canonically stronger than Daud and all the assassins.

When the assassin talks to Daud about Corvo escaping, the dialogue also changes if Corvo doesn't kill anyone but gets detected, so there are 3 possible dialogues there between Daud and the assassin
Also, if you get the low chaos ending but kill Calista (you kill her yourself) the game won't fail, it will continue as normal and in the end when Calista would be hugging her uncle will change to Cecilia hugging someone, most likely her sister. If you kill both Calista and Cecilia it will show a random citizen hugging another random citizen
Also also, if in low chaos you kill either Piero or Sokolov the elixir that saves everyone from the plague will never exist so the last images will be of high chaos but the Outsider will narrate as if it was low chaos

I always kill Samuel on high chaos, considering he has the plague it is a much more kind fate than slowly degrading & becoming a weeper, he's far too good a man to deserve that kind of suffering.
Sokolov's test subject is another instant mercy kill for me too.
I was actually so damn confused the first time I'd made it to kingsparrow island on low chaos to see it was a bright, beautiful day, as in the 11 years that this game has been out I had never once beaten it on low chaos until like a week and a half ago.
btw some of the wanted posters actually have to do with stage detection's, if you are never spotted nobody actually knows about the masked felon 'cause nobody has ever seen Corvo running around in his mask.
so many little details here & there that I'd just never paid attention to until rather recently.

I hated Havelock since then, the power hungry bastard betrays Corvo no matter how low or high his chaos is
With over 1,330 hours playing Dishonored, I always suspected that Havelock was up to no good while I was away on missions like abducting Sokolov, giving Lady Boyle to her lover or exposing Hiram for the shitshow he caused during his time as the Lord Regent

You're kidding me right? 😂 Havelock and the rest of the Loyalist Conspiracy (except for Samuel, Callista, Piero) definitely gave off a "will betray you after you've done our dirty work" lol
You can see it from their way their character model looks and also the plot where a party helps you dethrone someone else only to end up taking their place and betraying you is so cliché I'm surprised people didn't see it coming 😅 Still Dishonored gamewise and storywise are one of my favourites.

The best thing about that scene on high chaos is that it isn't a cut scene, so if you have good reflexes (or have watched the video and know what's coming), you can hinder him to get the warning shot off by silently shooting him with your crossbow. The ending will also change slightly based on whether you killed him or not.

Very well made video. Having played the game on different chaos levels very recently, I'm sure there are some intermediate levels of high and low. On my high chaos run I still did much stealthing and didn't rampage through everything. So it was still the high chaos finale, but Samuel didn't alert the guards. He chased me off his boat and wasn't too friendly about it but he still didn't tell me I was the worst of the bunch and also didn't alert the guards.

    1. Emily was kinda dark towards the end. Not only the drawings, but dialogue too. One dialogue stuck with me. It was something like this when you meet her: "Did you kill them all? Good cuz I was going to when I become Empress." or something similar to that. Didn't really expect it at that moment and it caught me off guard
    2. Samuel telling me how bad I am and using that warning shot really made me feel truly bad for a moment because of everything I've done
