Well it’s just because it was made by russians Also I think appropriate language is not necessarily russian it can be german as well because game was inspired by Checkpoint Charly
The passports, documents, handwriting, signs, and everything else is in English. They're speaking English. The official language of the glorious state of Arstotzka is...English. We know that for certain, though not really why, heh. It just so happens that the film is in Russian because it was produced by a Russian crew with Russian actors, requiring the audience imagine they're speaking English. Picture 'The Hunt for Red October' or any American film with a foreign setting, and it's the same, just reversed. ;)
@@MarkSynthesis dude if something is dubbed/produced in English that doesn’t mean it’s the official language of the story. Like imagine if the developers intended to make the game in Russian setting would they write everything in that language? I don’t think so as most of the players simply won’t understand. It works only in the movies because it’s possible to make subs but in game everything is already in text not in speech However names of the people sound slavic and names of the cities sound similar to ones in real socialist countries so if the language of the story actually exist and it’s not arztotzkian or something it most likely won’t be English as those names are not normal in it
@@evdokiasovetova5956 I figured it was based on checkpoint charly you know a few days ago I was listening to the the podcast called cold war conversations and the guy who dose it has people who worked, lived or served during the cold war and one episode he had an american border guard who served in check point charly up to the point of the falling of the wall it's amazing the story's these people have to tell
Man this is amazing actor, Scene, filter, props, and lighting 1000/10 sure you're not sponsored by them? I'm somehow into movie making beside my main tech passion
Hahahaha that's always gets me But all jokes aside, as someone who handles people's loan and have to deal with a bunch of IDs, you'll be surprise how many people that have the same name, different spelling, or even worse, different initials

I actually wasn't expecting this to be in an appropriate language. I was just ready for russian accent english.
Well it’s just because it was made by russians
Also I think appropriate language is not necessarily russian it can be german as well because game was inspired by Checkpoint Charly
It works only in the movies because it’s possible to make subs but in game everything is already in text not in speech
However names of the people sound slavic and names of the cities sound similar to ones in real socialist countries so if the language of the story actually exist and it’s not arztotzkian or something it most likely won’t be English as those names are not normal in it
@@evdokiasovetova5956 I figured it was based on checkpoint charly you know a few days ago I was listening to the the podcast called cold war conversations and the guy who dose it has people who worked, lived or served during the cold war and one episode he had an american border guard who served in check point charly up to the point of the falling of the wall it's amazing the story's these people have to tell
