- Originally designed for work, pick-up trucks are getting increasingly lifestyle oriented in recent years, with many buyers these days opting for a pick-up to use in their day-to-day commutes, instead of a sedan or SUV.
So to cash in on the hype, the carmakers have also been loading their pick-ups with even more creature comfort niceties, in an attempt to convince even more buyers.
So with that in mind, we pitted the Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain against the Nissan Navara PRO-4X to find out which of the two is the best pick-up truck... for the road!

many people say dmax x terrain is slower than other competitors..this is because of the dmax throttle response..Isuzu set it like that..once you do remap, it is totally a different beast..i own one and never regret a bit..feels and drives like SUV on the inside, but perform like a pick up truck

Get navara, change player, 360, frt sensor and remap. RT tyre and up 2".
So nice both of them. Hard to choose.

I drive the navara as my daily and i live in a condo. I even changed the tires to 20 inch and now the tires are protruding from the fenders about 1 inch both sides. But still, i don't have problems turning my truck in tight spots of my condo car park

Grey variant is for offroad that why the seat manual adjust. The red variant is electric adjust.

If navara update their interior design, I will buy it. Because of that, I bought dmax 1.9. Couldn't be happier 😀
I agree, Nissan is a nice and reliable car but their interior is far outdated by the other competitor.

i think the d-max is better terms of equipment and everything even pricing the navara is very nice as well but interior is dated compared to the d-max

Navara peak torque at 2000rpm not 2500rpm.
Leaf springs still cannot compare with shock absorbers in terms of comfort.

Quite agree, i find navara feel sluggish when u stop and go for the traffic light. Hilux feel natural.

I can see that the video is either done for quite some time already or with an older D-Max model.
1. The cargo tray no longer comes free as standard, it is now an optional accessories
2. The D-Max have been updated with 360 degree camera
3. Price for the D-Max has increased by around 6k

Slightly off question, since the Dmax already got updated with 360 camera, did the MUX get a 360 camera as well?
@@kerskrt No idea tbh. Because this video is relevant to the D-Max in Malaysian market. We used to have the MUX on sale as well but no longer the case for now. Best if you can refer to your Isuzu dealership in your home market for more accurate info

Pick up is not for city kids , kids don't know abt LSD , water wading , pulling capacity or capable changing the spare tyre

That hard plastic simple interior is the one that lasts longer compared to the nice looking leather covered interiors of competitors.

yep sad to see the updated variant has no longer offered with cargo tray i think the reason due to weight of the vehicle
Iirc, it no longer comes free as standard but you can still opt for it as additional accessories by paying a small amount of money

@@aimanfitri0iv Nah, it's actually a cost cutting measure. This is due to raw materials prices going up due to inflation in 2022. I've seen Isuzu SA sharing their internal memo online stating this as the reason

Ranger not having reliability. Thats why u can see the company avoid to buy the ranger.
Also comes with gearbox problem as a free added feature 😃 haha
the ranger needs to complete oil change within 5minute..otherwise, oil pump cannot works

Yeah...good luck with your ranger..US brand main focus is drive comfort/luxury..the never been as good as japanese company in terms of reliabilty because they can never match japanese manufacturer technology with engine
nissan truck is good, the downside is the 2ndhand value, very horrible
