I chose the Navara, even in 2023. For $72k it comes fully engineered with lift, wheels, tires, bill bar, GVM upgrade, tow bar and wheel flares. The 360 camera is shit but usable and the 2023 update has more comfortable, heated and electric adjustable chairs. Ticks almost every box.
Good review. I Love the Navara for its simplicity and no fuss interior. Thumbs up for a plastic dash, practical seating and bang for your buck. Keep it simple Nissan, it works!
Excellent review! It's a pity that the full version of the Navara is not available in Australia, here in Argentina we manufacture the Navara and it comes with everything, heated seats, electric sunroof, 4-wheel disc brakes, independent rear suspension, that's it. yes, for sure they will change the interior possibly similar to the new L200, including the powertrain, greetings!
Had navara for the last 10 years and i dont know if i would buy another if its only 2.3ltr twin.and cant justify th 70k price tag.although the 8ltr /100klm is impressive MPG.but the only alternative to a big nissan is its big bro with fuel gussler v8.
$10 000 more, 200 kg less weight carrying capacity, 1000 kg less towing capacity, Nissan warrior makes more sense, more usable for work and family and saving $10 k 👍👍👍,well done Premcar
“Raptor interior is on another level”, as he cuts to a screen the size of a Nokia 3310 and the same non-reach steering wheel he just slammed the Nav for lol 🤦🏼♂️
Couldn't agree more! i have had my NP300 for 7 years without to much dramas. Keep service up to date and it will last. Can't say much for my mates ford ranger, two gear boxes with in 6 months.
I looked at both cars last month with the latest ford ranger and I still couldn’t justify the extra $$$$ on the ranger when the nissan premcar delivered straight off the show room floor a Ute built tough and great looking and ready to take on any track
I own a 2020 Navara warrior and the new edition actually has less features than it, this is why you have the blank buttons on the centre console, they actually do something on the 2020 model. There's also a socket in the tray and a flatter (and nicer) dash with cup holders on my model. Underneath it's the same car, chassis, drivetrain, brakes etc. Just newer makeup. Yes they are overpriced but they make an awesome family long distance car, knowing you can rough up the terrain a bit along the way. I'm glad I got the 2020 run. Black edition scratches like a bastard and the kids have left a few scars here and there but still going strong looks wise. Even rear ended someone in it, got a whole new front replaced. Drove it down to Tassie and back to NSW. Didn't miss a beat. Good range, around 800km on a tank if you don't flat foot it. Brakes can be a bit spongy but they work fine. Drums on the back squeak when cold. Sits nice and planted on the highway due to wheel base and stance, barely working at all doing 110kph. Good cars to live with.
@@coast2coast950 nice mate! I’m at 32,000kms and it hasn’t missed a beat. Only issue I’ve had acouple times is the head unit OS glitching out sometimes.
Navara made in Argentina (called Nissan Frontier Pro-4X) comes with electric roof, electric driving seat, heating seats and many other quality details...in all, it's a much better finished vehicle than the one made in Australia...I love it!!
The FX4 Max Ranger would have been a better comparison. It's basically a little brother of the Raptor but with 3500kg towing capacity and 981kg payload.
Please get it right for future videos the 2.0L i4 diesel in Ranger is NOT a twin turbo set up, you would of thought by now since 2019 and the very fact that the badge clearly displays "Bi-Turbo" which in this configuration means smaller faster spinning turbo which starts getting on boost at around 1,700rpm with a by-pass valve for the larger slower spinning turbo which takes over boost from 2,200rom with both smaller and larger turbo working together until peak power at 3,750rpm it is essentially a SEQUENTIAL turbo configuration. Now moving forward the future gen Ranger Raptor will indeed have a twin turbo configuration in parallel format since each turbo sits on its respective bank of cylinders, in fact the reason why Ford had to redesign the front end of the T6 platform by moving the strut towers 50mm forward (therefore giving the vehicle and overall larger wheelbase) was to have the V6 engine with the side mounted turbos sit as far back in the engine bay as possible as to not block the steering rack, this has actually have an upside for both the i4 Bi-Turbo and incoming single turbo diesel V6 for non Ranger Raptor base vehicles more space upfront for extra cooling also finally owners can add a winch which will not affect the inter-cooler and induction piping the other upside is suspension, no more will Ford have to play around with the anti-roll bar pick up points to avoid steering kickback which has plagued every Ranger/Everest since 2016 due to the use of electric steering motor on the rack itself, that issue is now no longer present since the steering rack sits more forward while the anti roll bar sits behind it again (it was changed in 2016 due to going from electro-hydraulic to electric steering for launch of Everest), in fact the new front end is very similar to the Ford Territory with the exception that it sits inside the frame and not on the body mounts, anyone who drove a turbo diesel Ford Territory will understand right away how much better steering feel and weight the next gen Ranger will have.
Those blank switches in the middlw are buttons for auto tumbling seats found in its suv brother that doesn’t excist there thats called the Nissan Terra
Now the Navara has the electric seat and heaters , and it’s easy to change tyres and just about everyone upgrades the suspension. Plus it will probably last twice as long as the ranger lol
I'll take the 3 pin plug allday over a silly USB port in the back I can plug multiple things In a 3 pin plug 🔌 I always plug my phone charger in there and it fast charges.
The entire premise of this video is ridiculous and insulting to people that buy ready-made lifestyle utes. If you’re buying one of these vehicles to pot around town, you’ve wasted your money. If you’ve bought one of these because you want a warranty-backed modified vehicle ready to actually use it the way that 90% of Ute drivers use their vehicle than they’re a compelling purchase.
Body chassis for Nissan navara is not so turf and strong but the engine is much better, Ford ranger body chassis more harder and turf stronger so i preffer Ford ranger than Nissan navara but pickup truck i like most is Mitsubishi Triton Aero dynamic better manuver handling driving performance futuristic engine very very good comfortable offroad onroad much Technology features
220v and 12 v plug. Why you did not mention 220v? When comparing both trucks. You should tell everything inside.and outside. You did not mention there is 220v to raptor and Navarra. Thumbs down and not willing to subscribe to this channel
Every review is the same, ford brought us here to go fast in dirt, ford are daylight robbers at the moment, estimated price for what is still essentially a normal ranger inside, so internal comfort and room is lacking, it still doesn’t have the carrying or towing capacity, is $93 grand (ford website) Question is, is ford trying to justify the F150 future price tag through the raptor. I spoke with Canadian service and parts staff employed by a dealer, even they said in Canada for $80 grand Canadian or $89 grand Australian you can get the most up to date, top spec large pickup truck, with every conceivable extra, while in Australia we are robbed for choice and ripped off on price.
For the Australia market both of these utes are built in Thailand - but if you lived in the USA then you'd get a US-built Ranger, although the Navara's equivalent, the Frontier, is also American-built.

right-o!
Navara is great but it badly needs a better interior especially with the new Ranger coming out.

One thing not mentioned is at least the Warrior can be had as a manual, Ranger can't.

Ranger drivers only know how to press a accelerator pedal, and ford knows that.

Navara has a far better reliability than the raptor, so Navara for me.
Navara is a nissan so it isn't reliable compared to raptor

like the dream vs reality bit, LOL
Navara has a more weighty steering that I prefer, Ranger's on the other hand felt too light and ponderous
How is heavier better?
Wow! navara 🧐👍

Navara always
