- Typically, when it comes to upgrading rims, people like to go for bigger than stock rim sizes. We consider that as the social norm in this industry. However, we've made a video on why you should consider downgrading your rims! We fitted this Nissan Navara with a new set of 16" Lenso Zeus rims, a downgrade from its stock 18" rims!

My Navara 2017 came with stock 255/70/R16. I will be upgrading to 265/70/r16

The correct term is "higher profile" tires from 18in to 16in.

I want to ask you something because I have the 2.3l diesel 4x4 European version with 190cv. And I want to know the size of the of the drum brakes and disc brake that your version have. Because I want to downsize my 255/60R18 stock wheels to 265/70R16. I think mine has 336mm brake drum and 296mm brake disc.

Hello. Very nice video. Need your help for navara d40. I like to maintain my tire size 265/70/16 , can you help the best rim size for this vehicle.
Tried to fit in other rim but it rub my mud guard when turning the front wheel. Not much of an expert on rim size but details I got is 9jj for the rim tested.

I have a 2019 Nissan Terra VL 4x4, planning to change my tires to AT, but I came along to the High performance tires of Sumaxx, Raiden & Nitto 420s.
The reason is that my Terra's BCM(body control module) is not working, so I can't use the 4WD system.
What can you recommend, upgrade to high performance tires & upgrade to 20s rims of Lenso or TRM
Or
Stick to my stock 18s rims and upgrade to AT tires.
I have also fitted a RBS/ Sigma body kits.

Is the D23 ride is harsh compared to D40? I bought a bnew unit last week and compared to my D40 the ride is very harsh. Dealership told me its normal but can't explain why.

There few videos with this audio problem that sound from left side is louder when right side is barely no sound with headphone on

Speed is better if you change bigger tire to slightly smaller
and handling is much easier.

How has this change affected the ride height of the vehicle? Does the taller tyre increase the overall ride height? Or is the car now lower due to smaller rim size?
A smaller rim and biggger tires can be the exact same height as,a bigger rim and smaller tire..

You mean what size of tire on your stock 18’s rim? Try Nitto Grappler g2 or g3 it will looks awesome and softer.
it s not downgrading ...it s downsizing...it s actually maybe a better rim....
i put lenso rt7 18" on my D40....have no problems till now....

thicker the tire bumpier you will get. that is the problem. now you will replace absorber. it's kind kind of never ending problem
Not really, at least its still a case to case scenarios. Got fortuner and navara on both upgraded Nitto tires Grappler and Ridge on Navarra. Nitto was thicker and has higher profile than stock but more softer ride than stocks. ✌️
Im using navara with stock rim with comes frm factory,255/65/17.
Can i use 265/65/17?
Or can i use 275/285?
