After using the stock tyres (Bridgestone Dueler HT 684-II) on my Everest for 7 years I evaluated many tires from Michelin, Bridgestone, Radar, etc. Finally settled on the Apollo Apterra AT2 (265/60R18). This model probably isn't very popular in the Philippines but it's popular among 4x4 enthusiasts in Africa where the terrain is unforgiving. That says a lot about their reliability and durability. Very quiet, smooth and grippy in the city/skyway, and more puncture-resistant because it's a 3-ply. Much cheaper also than the big brands butv better and more proven than the countless Chinese A/T tyres out there from Arivo, Comforser/Roadcruza, Sumaxx, Westlake, etc.
1. 2 inch tire size increase without a lift means you lose 2 inches of suspension travel which you wont notice until malubak ka or mag offroad ka. 2. Larger tires would compromise your low range and acceleration and make your engine work harder if you dont re-gear since your gear ratios are no longer optimal. 3. Larger, wider and heavier tires increase fuel consumption. 4. Extreme offset changes will reduce CV axle bearing durability.
@@sublime3stan332 not in our experience. But curious with yours though, what and how did it happen - that made you say Falken at3w in general is not as tough as they say it is? Keen to also get your data proving your point if you don't mind. Thanks!
Hey bro my np300 got the same set of tires with stock suspension. The tires will rub on the front inner plastic fender when you encounter a speed bump on the expressway. Did you encounter this as well? I am planning to upgrade my suspension with 2 inch lift but in the meantime I will try to install a coil spring cushion in front to see if it will not rub.
2 inch lift springs ko yung ranger ko maski 4x2 lang, para swabe the KMC rims wrapped in Monsta TG 285’s. Kasi I don’t like any sabit when I go to da palengke. You know putek sometimes
To be fair, I've heard of some H/T tyres that were also quiet at first then got noisier as it wore out. This is especially true with cheap Chinese tyres like Rydanz.
I have used a lot of A/T and M/T tires and this is not one of them, I have used BFG KM3 and KO2 specifically sized at 285/70/17. Mas maganda parin yung Falken Wildpeak
What size tires did you have on before the Yokohama? Planning on upgrading to bigger tires on my 21 Hilux. I have 265 60 r18 on right now, but planning on the bigger 265 65 r18, but a bit worried on possible tire rub
That is exactly half inch radius increament. Half an inch radius increase should be passing. Total height clearance should be plus 1 inch. Tyre size from 30.5 inches to 31.6 inches.
rotate every 5k bro, it will lasts 50k probably. Pag inabot 70k swerte na because MT’s have a much softer rubber compound for traction purposes sa trail. Been using 33’s Nitto Trail Grappler here.
There is actually a tire wear indicator... also, the rim size may be stock but the tire width and profile is definetly increased. I think you will benefit from suspension upgrade if you always go off road and carry lots of cargo. Looks good tho. God bless!
Sir Rim 18 po yang sa inyo Ibig sabihin sir mas walang rubbing if rim 17 lng sya no?
looks good but if you go off road you don't have enough clearance for the mud to go through. you should went with 60 or 55 tire instead for better clearance.
personally, I’d go for AT. MT is designed specifically for mud terrain, and while they claim it’s quiet for city driving, I think that’s just marketing. In my opinion, it doesn’t really suit all-terrain use.
What a lousy shop. Nag recommend ng mt tires for city use dahil low noise lng? Didnt explain the compromised grip or wet road and higher fuel consumption. Plus mt tires wear faster if used sa city roads. Should have advised AT tires lng. Plus di man lng nagdiscuss what's the recommended psi. Di na yan 35psi dapst, that only applies to stock tire size..
i think this is a paid promotion by Yokohama. For a car guy like him, tanggalin lng cguro niya yan a week after. Aside from maingay, poor wet roads handling, short thread life, reduced ride comfort, and poor fuel economy, -napaka mahal pa.

take note changing tire size will also change speed meter reading vs actual speed.
Sorry your wrong. It does not affect speed reading.
WRONG SIR, same mags size were usd out of the factory. Maybe you mean diesel comsumption
I’d go for Falken Wildpeaks A/T3. Good ride comfort, wet road performance and low road noise while still having decent off road capabilities
What size did u get? And may i ask for the price point?

Quiet lahat ng mudtires for the first year of daily use. Then noise builds up as it gets worn.
BTW, love the Rota Recce. Gawang pinoy. Very nice.

What’s the brand of your head unit Apple Car play?

Hi , what are your wheels called! Love them
Hi, thanks for the video ! Can I ask where did you buy your car radio. It looks nice and I want one ?? Can you please help ??
Nice one!
Do you retain reverse camera with the headunit?
Ang angas na sobraaaaa!
Nice video. HM is the Yokohama 275/65 R18?
Hi, where did you get the slim fenders?
So after 1 year, how does the tyre wear condition? Since you use M/T which in theory should wear much faster on normal road.
And how do you find it? Thanks
saan nyo po nabili yung rota recce nyo and magkano inabot?
bothers me that the sidewall tead is facing a different direction on the right side vs left side... Can this not be avoided???
Hello... It's 275 size and stock suspension.... Do they (front tyres) scrub inside fender while full turn and on pathholes?
How much is the cost of your yoko mud terrain tires 275.65.18
Sir need pa po ba ipacalibrate ang reading ng odometer/speedometer since nagiba na ang outer diameter ng tires from stock?
Yes. If you switch to bigger tyres recalibration of speedo is needed unless you don't care about actual speed.
goood day bro. interesting video. i just want to know the offset of your rota recce? thank you bro
May i ask where did you purchase your dashboard infotainment? How much also?
kamusta yan tires mo sir pag high speed onroad say NLEX or SLEX hindi ba maingay.

Sir it's been a month niyo na po yung M/T tires niyo po.. how was it?
question is, will it still not rub when u lower your psi when you go offroad?
bro anong brand ang mags mo?
That looks sweet. What ET is it on the rims?

Where did your purchase the android headunit sir? Thanks
How much is your head unit sir, thanks.. more power..
Lug nut should be torque to mfr’s specs for safety and performance.
Ano fuel consumption mo?
Tumapang yung dating Sir. Maluwag pa din clearance s bumper at mud guard pwede pa i 285 haha.
Ano pala offset ng rota wheels mo Sir?
How's the noise level on regular roads/express way? Planning to get one for my ranger... nice rugged look of your ride bro btw.
Stock ba ang mags mo?
Sir question lang anong brand and how much yung head unit mo? Thanks

Paps I am planning to have the mags and tires of my Isuzu Dmax. Ano nga pala yang mags mo. May I know the specs please.
Thanks for the video. Your tyres are lager than stock. How has this impacted on your speedometer? I'm planning on upgrading the same on NP300.
It will actually correct your reading if you install the same size from the video.
