Its a pretty solid option for more scale builds, as most trucks and SUVs are IFS and solid axle out back. Would be a cool platform for a Ram Runner build.
I like it, it's like a narrow track yeti with rear suspension mounted on the axle rather than lower trailing arms. This truck has some super cool scale options in its future. Gotta get that body secured, pretty floppy running, good look though overall, I like the pre runner direction. The enduro is on my list of rigs to pick up, and this ifs kit may kick it to the top of the list.
Being a full scall crawler guy, knowing the down falls of ifs, even though it smaller and boy the weight of say an exploerr or a full size chevy, just dont like the less travel , i supose if yku builing like a baha racer bot a rock crawler may be kinda cool
That's sick! I might have to build my own forerunner out of one! I bet with a big brushless motor, this setup would be a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing😊😊
Squanchy!!! I know that there was already an IFS kit from a company on IG for the SCX10II, but it’s good to see an official one from a ‘real’ manufacturer
@@MonsterPartsRc I have the rollscale kit. And even though it looks nicer, trust me it's not I've been fighting all types of problems with my roll scale ifs. :( my high torque savox servo overheats even with reduced steering angle. the the axles are weak also.
Great insight video on this IFS kit. One question though. I'm assuming because you have to swap the shock towers round I wouldn't be able to use my Element inner fenders if I fit this kit ?
This should make for a pretty potent setup. Granted as long as the ifs components are strong enough (shouldn't be an issue in the rc world). I now feel like even more of a black sheep with my Vaterra K10 lol
I really wish people would start trying to do. Rack and pinion steering for all these cars into my I did it once on one car. I wish they would have kept doing it on all their cars.
This will make steel frame crawler's more desirable, but now someone gotta come out with upgrade parts for the kit for the metal upgrade lover's......but I love it ,very cool.
Im catching a little hesitation in your voice & I dont blame you lol!! I think I'll hold off for now, besides I'm into rock crawling not so much baha & desert racing. Thanks for the vid
I'm surprised more people aren't doing that because think about it. When I do the Dakar Rally most of the cars are double Wishbone suspension to buggies the Hilux trucks. And people who race professionally have in Baja. I have independent front suspension. Sometimes think about it. I think that independent front then you should technically get more wheel travel independently of each other on each axle. Anyone with us solid axle?
That is so cool! We started a RC car club at the school I teach at, but we are going to add a RC Crawler club too. This may be one of the Crawlers we look at. Hey Greg where did you get that body for the Element? It looks awesome!!! Thanks for all your work! Aaron
RCDriver_Online we have about 30 middle school kids in the club. We do clubs every Friday, so I figured why not do a club I would have fun in as well. Also, I do a one week summer day camp at our school called Mach 5, it is all about racing. This summer I am going to give all the kids who attend an Axial SCX24. Your video on the SCX24 helped me to think this would be awesome element to our camp. So myself and the other teacher both bought one to “test”. Thanks for all the great videos. I was thinking about getting the SCX10 II Blazer but I might get the Element instead! I love that Chevy C10 body on it! I never thought crawling would be so fun. My speed car is an Arrma Talion!
Looks a little top heavy with the 2 spare tires on the chevy prerunner body. (K10 not C10 cuz it’s 4wd) I’m not a Ford guy but this ifs would be cool to do a Ford Raptor build.
A very good scale option if you use it for competion you will get scale point's if fitted to a vehicle that is supposed to be irs at the front like some Toyota's to name just one.
Nick Ing dazed & confused Exactly! I’m not much of a competition guy, so when I saw the kit my mind wandered. I think it will be a great option for all sorts of builds.
@@rcdriver That's exactly what I was wondering because most independent front suspension setups aren't locked making them useless for crawling or climbing. Thanks for yet another great video. Definitely considering an Element for my next trail truck.
Most trucks and SUVs built after 1990 are IFS, even Ford and Dodge/Ram switched to IFS on their half ton trucks. If you are going for a scale build, it is more scale.
Love your in-depth look at products brother. I will probably never buy an Enduro Senduro, I just don’t care for the name and the only thing it’s got going for it is the Overdrive transmission. Thanks for the info👍, those that like the Enduro and have them I will send them this link
SCX10 II would be more up my alley. Thank you, I’m gonna have to try one so I can know first hand the capabilities instead of just assuming it has no merit.
I just got the enduro trailwalker for $350. Thats $200 off and it comes with everything but AA's. I was going to get an axial, but this thing is a $700 axial. The motors in axial are better but thats it.
Michael Banti The servo gets moved to the top plate of the Element set-up for either truck. I think the front of the chassis rails are the same so the kit should bolt up with the 3D printed adapter parts. Might want to double check with Element.
So it's a very slow short course truck without independent rear suspension now? Why not just buy a short course truck and change the gear ratio? I'm sure that would crawl as well in not better than this thing?
In the real rock crawling world the solid axle out performs the IFS. The front carrier that holds the front diff now hangs down in the way. Guys with IFS Toyota’s convert there IFS to solid axles. All the rest of the Crawler R/C cars are solid axles. Pass.
Its a pretty solid option for more scale builds, as most trucks and SUVs are IFS and solid axle out back. Would be a cool platform for a Ram Runner build.
Looks like I need to add an element to my crawler fleet. Just to build an IFS 'yota
Love crawling in drainage's, ever evolving terrain changing after every rain event. The desert is loaded with them. Great footage.
Good to know this kit can be adapted for the SCX10ii
RC Carnage Yup! I actually found that out just before posting the video so at least I was able to put that in the description. lol
Never saw this video, that is an absolutely a beautiful looking rig, that body WOW, great build, I'm now going to look for that body for the sport!!
It's cool and all, with that said I'm keeping my straight axles
Just ordered up another rig for this! so stoked, now i can do a FJ Cruiser correctly! nice vid Greg, thanks for the in depth look.
SNOWMOD RC Oh man should be awesome!
I hope so! lol 3d printing the body as we speak.
Great to make a pickup truck crawler more scale. But, Tamiya did the IFS crawler first with the CC01 nearly 25 years ago now 👍
Great video Greg! Love the innovation Element RC keeps pushing for this fairly new platform.
The Pre-Runner is sick man. Nice very nice especially with the new suspension.

Hi from down under New Zealand 👍 your videos are awesome mate! Keep up the great work love it 👍👍🏁
I like that C10 body... you just need to get a fine point sharpie and highlight the door and hood lines...
Darcsyde Racing Yup, I’ll detail up a bit more in the future.
Ain't C10 a chevy
Technically 4wd would make it a k10
That's sick! I might have to build my own forerunner out of one! I bet with a big brushless motor, this setup would be a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing😊😊
RC Driver Drive! Killing it Greg!
My only complaint is that the front skid plate is gigantic and might hang up on a lot of obstacles.
Generally further to the rear and higher than a solid axle pumpkin though..
Scx10 ii adaptable perfect my 4runner builds gonna be awesome
Would be a awesome upgrade for the trailrunner
Squanchy!!! I know that there was already an IFS kit from a company on IG for the SCX10II, but it’s good to see an official one from a ‘real’ manufacturer
Darcsyde Racing I think this kit has been in the works for a looong time. But yes, good to see from the AE crew!
RCDriver_Online the kit from Roll Scale for the SCX10II looks good tho... you should check it out

This is awesome. I need this set up now.. thanks for emptying my wallet again lol
Pat's channel LOL, sorry my friend!
Yeah that is what I was thinking too. spring seemed stiff on the slowmo video
Looks great ! The best RC i own for bashing and crawling is yeti same set up !!
Nice conversion, can you still use all the brass hub weights that fit the original axal.
Hope it will be available in the UK soon....
Bye Bye four link it was nice knowing ya! Hellllllloooooooo IFS!
Thank you for the review Greg!

Great video Rich! Thank you!!!

what tyres are they? looks sick
Did the front tires rub the Chevy C-10 body before the IFS swap? And how about after the IFS swap?
Oh well... Tamiya - always ahead of its time, CC-01 released 27 years ago with features appearing on scalers only recently.
I'm going to be getting this setup later this year, but I hope they come with a tuning kit for that front, it seems way to stiff
Time will come we get some "solid front axel kits" to change back ha ha ha!
Might as well put lockers in short course truck... I did it with a sc10 4x4
You could get 2 of em, lock the tie rods and have an entire IFS/IRS truck, or 4 wheel steer.
It works really well.
How in the world do you get those close up shots while mobile?
GoPro on an extension pole.
Hope they do some sort of open diff for it would be a good Base for a pre runner
Great Video!
Well done video.
Rock bouncer gatekeeper is now the next project
Put the stear on the back using the rear servo mounts supplied in the builders kit. I need IFS. HOW MUCH
Im catching a little hesitation in your voice & I dont blame you lol!! I think I'll hold off for now, besides I'm into rock crawling not so much baha & desert racing. Thanks for the vid
It’s spelt Baja, sorry about that
Hahahaha full circle! Next it will be independent all the way around just like it was before anyone made a solid axle. Hahahaha classic!
Great review as normal.
Sam, I may have to get an Element now.
Where did you get the light buckets for your front bumper and what brand because I know that’s a axial k5 bumper?
Can the solid front be adapted to the back for rear steer?

My hope now is that they will release a full ifs builders kit for maybe $260 with hardparts included this time around.
Bryan Larsen I saw in a group, Element said there is no plans for a full IFS kit at this time. 😞
RCDriver_Online I can afford to wait. Maybe next year when I have less projects anyways.

Aaron Williams So awesome to hear about the RC club! It’s the Pro-Line Racing C10 with their cage fitted to it.
RCDriver_Online we have about 30 middle school kids in the club. We do clubs every Friday, so I figured why not do a club I would have fun in as well. Is this what you’re running at Proline By the fire, this year?
Next Best Thing RC Possibly!
Not sure how I feel about it.
RC Propaganda I scratched my head for a brief moment and the thought it’s going to open up the doors for some more creative builds.
Did shock oil come in the kit? What weight oil did you use?
Looks a little top heavy with the 2 spare tires on the chevy prerunner body. (K10 not C10 cuz it’s 4wd)
I’m not a Ford guy but this ifs would be cool to do a Ford Raptor build.
Awesome review. We just need a nice 4 Runner or Tacoma hard body.
You got both now! Lol
You need to go brushless and make a trophy truck because its almost there.
THE RC BROS AT WORK Yeah, it needed more power. But no project is ever finished lol
THE RC BROS AT WORK I’m doing that with custom ifs this summer
A very good scale option if you use it for competion you will get scale point's if fitted to a vehicle that is supposed to be irs at the front like some Toyota's to name just one.

Hey bud. I have a Traxxas t-maxx I’m converting to electric. What would u recommend for brushless system to run in in for rock crawling ? Thanks
Are the plastics on the IFS the harder plastic material..
Michael Lenheiser No, they are the standard plastic.
Will it fit a redcat gen8 frame? Please let me know if it will fit in the front of the frame
Are the parts plastic??
What about gearing seems like you will have over or under drive.
We need one with portals for the trx4🤟
I'd directly buy it
where do you get a locking dif for this front end??
Cool..so it still uses the stock “locked” diff right?
HL Correct
@@rcdriver That's exactly what I was wondering because most independent front suspension setups aren't locked making them useless for crawling or climbing. Thanks for yet another great video. Definitely considering an Element for my next trail truck.
Gees I bet the rigidity increase is better on the front end.
Does the kit delete the option to put a winch servo in or am I seeing things wrong?
Why would you want less travel I'm curious?
zeus m84 I think it depends on what you’re building.
Most trucks and SUVs built after 1990 are IFS, even Ford and Dodge/Ram switched to IFS on their half ton trucks. If you are going for a scale build, it is more scale.
That video is awesome. Drone ?
TheLaxkev GoPro Hero 7 Black
i want your honest opinion please:
should i get a slash 4x4 vxl or a hobao hyper ss roller
Does it work with a vaterra accender
what bodys can i put on my trail runner
They’ll eventually build long travel arms

what brand and model body is that?

Hi its possible this kit on to trx4 defender
what bumpers on ?
Nice Nice 👍
I assume this will only work on an SCX10ii chassis and not a SCX10i because of the servo on the axle on the SCx10i
Michael Banti The servo gets moved to the top plate of the Element set-up for either truck. I think the front of the chassis rails are the same so the kit should bolt up with the 3D printed adapter parts. Might want to double check with Element.
@@rcdriver I will do that. Thank you!
will it work with the Everest 10 ?
looks like it might work o other rock crawlers with a similar frame setup.
Andrew Murphy Yes it can be adapted to the SCX10II and Trail King with some 3D printed parts. Element made the files available for free.
Is there any scale cars Other than the drift scene
Dave Swann Scaling out Monster Trucks and Trophy Trucks are growing segments.
So we back to tamiya Cc01?
Esmelin Roperto Kinda lol
Looks like you loose the servo winch mount also.
So it's a very slow short course truck without independent rear suspension now? Why not just buy a short course truck and change the gear ratio? I'm sure that would crawl as well in not better than this thing?
Here’s an idea
Get another kit and fit it to the rear .
Yup, just lock the bellcrank and, oops, the tires roll opposite of the front. Maybe the stock ring and pinion would fit.
ryan olson . Yeah maybe your correct
Redcat gen 8 will this fit?
Chris Sucharda No, I don’t think it can be adapted to the 8. At least not without a lot of custom work.
Is the rear cage from a SCX10 ii?
Taylor Green It’s the Pro-Line cage.
Why can’t I find this kit on the associated website?
I searched the part number and everything
Wilson Rich Their media blast is going live right now. It will probably pop up very soon.
Oh makes sense. Thank you! Super excited for this product!
Could this work for the Traxxas trx4?
kevin kidd Not easily, it would require a lot of custom work.
Would like to see this kit on the front and rear for a full independent suspension setup.
