This is the only video I’ve seen that has made any real sense of explaining the comp rules. Thanks for the helpful info cause after watching this I feel more confident that I understand what the real deal is a bit more. 👍👍👍
Some of the most beautiful rigs I have witnessed in action . Talent goes a LONG way in this video let alone discussing of the rules of scale rc crawling
I've been going out to many comps and running into a lot of great builders and drivers. It still amazes me how talented some of them were. It's awesome to be in the hobby!
very interesting to see the differences to european class definitions I wittnessed so far. Especially how in some regards SORRCA strictly defines the tube requirements for a truggy, but In europe C1 does not allow the trie to portrude from the fenders, basically you can only drive what is considered Street legal in C1..and they always want a a license plate that has to be from the drivers home region. I see positives in all version!
Cleared up all kinds of questions I had about some differences between the two classes. Been looking for this for some time now. Thx a ton for doing this video.
1. Are there restrictions on motor size and how many you have? 2. Is a solid Axel required? 3. Any restrictine on batteries or components. 4. Max and min ride hight? 5. Max length and width? 6. Is there a restriction on finder width? 7. Weight restriction? 8. How are you allowed to use winches?
Thank you very much for the Vid... Next project of mine is a C2 rig and i was wishing me Vid like that and you made at perfect at the right Time 👍🏻🤘🏻 ! Thanks a lot because od you i know the rules clear 🤙🏻 ! Best regards from Germany Hannes
@@slopppy75 I already share it but most guys in Germany want to build Scale Rigs... Thats not really my Style... I would love to have C2 Comps in Germany but most Events are Scale Events ... Do you also have a Insta Acount ? Best regards Hannes
I don't have instagram. You can always start a class 1 or even class 0 competition. There is class 0 in SORRCA LIGHT rules and it's more strict than class 1. Super scale guys love class 0
Great video Just wondering the video show that class 2 trucks with a cage need rear shock hoops attached to the cage. Where does the Gmade BOM fit in with the cantilever rear end ?
Great. I am just concerned about using my proline Ford bronco body that does not fit a stock axial scx10 frame. Can I modify the frame or find a shorter frame
The segmemt abought chassis. I have a custom carbon chassis 15 inch long rails.. resembles a few of the pro style chassis I seen in vid. Is their a class 2 rule for a custom 2 rail chassis ...its 15inch long but shock points made in to chassis an its low center gravity skid
I just got my first rc truck. It's the easy rc 1/18 glacier square body. I'm deciding on getting into rc crawling and competition. I removed my rear bumper for more clearance. Is that against class 1 rules?.
I am interested in class 2 … question about wheel base … is there a set wheel base for c2 I’m under the impression that it is 12.5” ? I do understand the bumper and chassis combined must be 3” longer than the wheel base .
Great job on the video mate...🙂🙂🙂 do you have restrictions on electronic on c1 c2 and c3? And gearing ratio or 1st and 2nd speed on the transmission and dig... thanks mate sorry just new on comp build
There is no restriction on gear ratio or electronics used in any class. DIG is only on class 3. Let me know if there is specific parts you want to use that could raise a question
Cool vid! And I do have a question. For windshields. The TRX4 uses a sticker. Would that be considered a windshield or does it have to be see through (for class 1)?
Hi to all. One question. Where would you categorize a car like the vaterra twin hammers. It is also a crawler, but the chassis don’t have rails. About the body, it can be custom made to fit C1 or C2, but the chassis... Also it is front independant suspension and rear solid axle.
Sorrca states “Tub chassis are allowed, but chassis must be covered by the body and follow all other scale rules per class guidelines. An example of a tub chassis vehicle is CC-01, DF01, Twin Hammers, etc.” I think you can run in any classes as long as you meet all the other requirements
is there an in between? class 1.5, minimum front bumper and tires up to 4.73? i think it would be an interesting class. since you would still require class 1 specs such as front windshield and width and a few class 2 contingences' like tire size and front bumper.
@@slopppy75 thank you man. Sadly, we just started to have championships here in my country and the rules are just totally different and ridiculous. All my trucks got disqualified for having a brushless sensored system. All the other rules are totally wrong. Not just for crawling as all other races have wrong rules. For example, I've seen 1/8 trucks racing with 1/10 trucks. Short Course trucks racing with buggies and druggies. Monster trucks also race with other categories. Now all this and the still have a rule against brushless motors for crawling. Not going to enter any championship until they evolve.
evoxer87 class0 is not official but the crawl space Colorado has C0 rules laid out. Basically, hard body only, no trimming, max 4.0” tires and higher scale point cap are the notable differences.
I think I know the answer but it doesn't really say definitively anywhere... can you cut the chassis to shorten it at all in class 1? It says full length but then also says must be as long as wheelbase.
Shots are from various locations that I traveled in past 2 years. Most of the pictures are from the last scale nationals at San Ysidro, New mexico. The green and red truck in the thumbnail were from Denver, Colorado. Other videos are from Apple Valley, California.
Awesome video. Really helped out a lot but I do have a question. I have an element rc Enduro Sendero that I swapped out the rear shocks with cantilever shocks, but I have no rear mounts for the body anymore as they don't fit with the cantilever setup. Currently I just use a pair of zip ties to keep the body rear on with the original body mounts on the front. Would this break any rules or is it still good. I haven't had time to try out at a competition yet so I want to make sure I'm good or if I need to re modify it.
@@slopppy75 thak you, i'm currently planning on making 6x6 out of my truck and i was worried it would close my possibility to participate in regulated event 👍🏻
By tire size definition the TRX4 Defender would be considered a class 2 truck at stock. Is that correct? 117mm stock tire is 4.6 inches, video claims 4.19 before moving into class 2. Am i understanding this correctly?
