i didnt get to include (forgot to mention) the 148whp was on 95octane pump
but the 147 with less torque was on 110AvGas

@@CL9k24a3 thats where i enjoyed it most i mean i drove both engines because back then the shop owner Bong (h3autoworks) i was a friend and customer and the engine owner was from a differen island (Cebu) so my hatchback was the guinea pig and i was more than willing 🤣
Professional to the core. :) I like the CBR RR part. I also remember Mugen. The CIVIC in yellow MUGEN was a bomb in the 90s. :) Keep rollin buddy. You got my like.
luckily in the US it was easy to find the CBR intake from the yards... here not many of those hehehe

So you basically did a surface clean up rather then porting ? I always thought porting involved material removed to gain pathway/runner shape to valve desired= increasing cfm flow, has surface clean up alone made a difference ?
If you have seen a stock d16a6 u would see this isn’t just a surface clean up but overall shape has been reworked…
“Porting” have always meant different to different people
However a max cfm 320cfm B16 head won’t perform any better than a cleaned up B16 head on a “b16” maybe it would shine on a 2liter especially a stroker… port volume is often over looked… and some castings already have alot of it while some are a little under volume so it needs work

More often than not, alot of the things I want to try or build? its cuz B16 is mas kilala or b20vtec pra lods lmfao but this channel and guys like you... makes me see the "stuff" i stashed away is still as interesting for others as it was to me? so frankly who knows 🤣

What is the ideal length of the itb to make the great power
Actually for the 2nd harmonic sadly it won’t fit our firewall so I actually just run the longest safest with the stacks not getting too near the firewall
I believe it’s 9-10in ITB runner length

Depends on the specs ng regrind and should be clayed but a regrind cannot go big enough to cause piston to valve

still having a hard time figuring out a good spring content man but trying, though I figured a "valvejob" "multi-angle" type of content might be interesting too as locally we both know just like the reason i made the "assembly lube" video cuz they all give a vague answer (locally)

KEEP THE D SERIES RUNNING :) THE CAMSHAFT IM USING ON MY RACE CAR WAS ALSO MADE BY WEBCAMS ITS A CUSTOM GRIND, JUST LIKE YOURE'S I NEED TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE CAM A LITTLE BIT OF GRINDING ON THE CAM TUBE AND AT THE BACK OF THE EXHAUST ROCKER. THEY CAN MAKE WHAT EVER CAM PROFILE YOU NEED BUT FOR ME THE LIMITING FACTOR IS COIL BINDING SO I GO FOR THE MAX LIFT THAT IS SAFE FOR MY SPRING AND FOCUS ON THE DURATION. IM JUST A NEWBIE ON ENGINE BUILDING, IF YOU CAN ADVICE ME SIR ON MY ISSUE I WILL GLADLY APPRECIATE IT :) THANKS...
your cam makes ur exhaust coil bind? let me understand to be able to give better ideas
@@SRDmotorsports NO SIR THE ONE THAT IM USING IS FINE I HAVE 0.35MM GAP PLANNING ON GOING MORE BIGGER BUT MY WORRIES IS COIL BIND.

you can bring ur head to ATi they can machine tri-angle ur exhaust but you request them to sink it 0.5mm
sinking it means the lash side? goes higher so more space for coil bind :)

the valveseat trick is good because custom valves = mahal 🤣 just for longer stem to lessen coil bind

Thing is, the reason I always mention those "stuff" intermittently on a few videos is cuz
I finished building my d16a6 merely months before I made this channel like just "months"
so now im like "what coulda been" 🤣 a personal build series. A blessing in disguise perhaps cuz this time atleast its gonna get constant "updates" be it commercial or preview will always share it here

Simplest and logical approach is headworks lng tlga kase some will advise on p08 intake without thinking matrabaho rewire iacv na p08 and at the end of the day bka d mo pa maramdaman gains kung Meron man

A complete stock b16a, it would benefit to port the head
If ported and done properly i believe it would. It can give better throttle response and fuel economy to boot!
But crux of the matter : the b16a pr3 head is almost near over in port volume for a 1600cc so careful portwork on the b16 head is needed or else too much porting means a b20 block is needed for more displacement

oh not yet but wow nice to know there is a6 love :) actually plan to pull it down and do a build series for it that will have a dyno and "more"
we will dyno test different manifolds too
That's confused me compressions thing head it 😳
head is milled and the piston has high dome , in shooting for the highest I’ve tried, so I experiment on my own toys :) not customers 😎
It'll just need 5.652 rods and matching pistons :)

Has anybody tried recreating the SCCA D16A6 build in recent years?
@@findtherightbeat I saw a non related collector off a diff odd stuff forum? it was 4-1 but splayed flat kinda like 4-1 layed out as our "local tri Y" if u knowwhat i mean?
at first i thought it might be like that but then i realized malabo cuz "nambawan" country lol saw an old old vid here of a Yoshimura factory (a tiny factoryshop lol) making "sand filled" bends (before mandrel) they were making it for a Honda based "tuner" maybe called Mugen?!? lol
so i feel that Mugen unit is a true proper 4-1
