  • Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -
After arriving in Kuala Lumpur, I knew I had to try Nasi Lemak. And after some research, I found Wanjo, a restaurant famous for nasi lemak. Wanjo was a spacious, clean restaurant with very friendly people working there. The staff helped me create my nasi lemak plate and made me a fresh dragon fruit juice.
This nasi lemak experience is one that I won’t forget. All the food was amazing, and I had so much fun. The spicy chicken paired with the rice, that is cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves, was simply amazing. I fell in love with nasi lemak and so glad I had the opportunity to try the national dish of Malaysia.
We then ventured to the Petronas Towers mall area to find Ice Kacang. This is considered the dessert to try when going to Malaysia, so I had to make sure to try. This ice dessert was so much fun to eat, and all the toppings mixed with the shaved ice was so refreshing and sweet. For hot days in KL, this definitely hit the spot.

Selamat Pagi, from Oz. I am a Malaysian. I have never been to wanjo all my life and when I returned home at the end of Ramadan last year, it was closed because if Eid. I will return this October and venture there. Through RUclips, the 'Village..' restaurant in Petaling Jaya is highly rated.

Begedil is something I could eat everyday. I think many Americans would like this dish.

Thanks so much for watching. I'm not that knowledgeable about weather in Malaysia, but we went during around August and it seemed nice. Sorry can't help too much with your question.
