- Hey All!
Finally the long awaited video is now live! We put our gutted cats back to back on the dyno against our new test pipes to see which one sounds the best and gives the biggest increase in torque and power!
All parts are available to purchase at mod-stock.co.uk !
Thanks for Velocity Tuning for hosting us on the day! (@Velocitytuning) velocitytuning.uk

Finally, someone made a video to compare the options on a dyno. Really enjoyed it, and the info is super useful. Thanks guys!
Excellent Video. Great to see the results back to back. Excellent Map by Velocity as always too.
Thanks for this review and the work. Was asking these questions in my german M3 group and i am thankful someone put in so much work and time for this test. Great video !
Excellent video. Exactly what I was looking for! 👍🏻
Awesome video! Super interesting to see the comparison of all 3! Great information with the facts to back it up! 👍🏻
This is one of the smoother dyno charts I ever saw. Proof that if you know what you are doing you can actually improve efficiency and make car sound better too. Well done Modstock and Tommy
Perfectly done video . Used the info to determine the direction I wanted to take and I must say knowing the outcome in advance is really helpful . I went with test pipes and tune and boy does it sound amazing . I can feel the difference in when the power comes in for certain . If it’s sound your after then this is the combination . Thanks for taking the time to explain everything in such great detail . Very very well done !
cracking video answered a lot of questions i had already.
Brilliant brilliant video on explaining the differences!
Brilliant stuff, really informative
This video answers a lot of questions that e9X M3 owners usually ask (Gutted vs. Test Pipes vs. Stock). Thanks a lot :-)
Awesome video, just the info I wanted!!
Very good vid. Pretty nice and easy way to understand the upgrades .
Very video, well done guys.
Fantastic video absolutely superb info nice to see another company nailing the e92 m3
Thanks for video!!!!
This was such a great day ! The M3 sounds insane and drives like an animal now 😍
Random question... how did you get those floating centre caps to fit so well, struggling big time :D
Nice info indeed
Awesome to see you talk here after exchanging messages on insta. Makes me feel like I know a TV star. lol
*Doing this on my ///M*
i def felt a power diff in my 530d e60 with gutted cats
Thank you for the video. The car needs a lighter set of wheels.
Power and torque seems low for wheel horse power the it looks like stock wheel horse power was 320hp peak, is that right? Have you changed the spark plugs to see if that makes a difference?
1.31 multiplier to get to bmws stock hp figures on stock car haha
I am confused as a non native speaker. What do you mean by stock exhaust (1.5 mod)? What is a Backbox? On the one hand you say it’s stock and then you say mod? Please elaborate.
Was the muffler and resonator still in the mix with the test pipe or was it lit straight through exhaust?
Secondary cats and factory resonators still insitu
What was the backbox mod of the car? 1.75?
Yeah 1.75 👍
I've actually lost power significantly after gutting my cats, apparently its the empty chamber, no velocity of the gas. its so bad I'm taking the car back tomorrow. Anything that could be done to get my power back without changing to straight pipe?
On e9x m3?
I'm a little confused mate. This was a back to back test proving that theory incorrect. Did you also map the car?
Chrs is GOD. My M3 is so much better after his mod.
Whats 401WHP in bhp?
+ 18%
That was calculated crank on George's car though
@@mod-stock cor 401 is rough ngl. I've done 430 on a pre lci car with no map and your primary decats.
@@FlagnarBoobz what method did you have? It has a lot of variables on the S65. I.e plugs and coils etc
Gutted cats. I think there's no map but honestly not sure as it's used obvs. Happy with 436 anyway.
Is it better to weld the pipes os use clamps?
Either bud
