    I've had the Evolve Stage 2 map on my E92 M3 since late 2020, the GTS DCT Flash and servotronic tweak. I bought the Eventuri Plenum and airbox lid to add to the intake I already bought (I was one of the first). I was already running an Akrapovic Evolution full titanium exhaust on the car and although never 100% blown away by the sound of the Akra, I'm actually glad I kept i on instead of looking for noisier options, because in low crawling and cruising speeds I get the deep bass sound of the Akra, but when I open up, the Eventuri Plenum noise takes over. It really is such a transformation of the car having a stage 2 and deleting the primary cats. I'd highly recommend it to every owner. Drive one thats been done and see how sluggish it makes your stock car seem.

    Japan red looks sick. Nice mods and spot on tuning. The plenum sounds mad, it will be interesting to see how it sounds with an intake upgrade.

    • @EvolveAutomotive

      Sound with the intake is very similar as the Plenum is making so much noise, but we should gain some more power and a sharper throttle response!

      I'm in agreement - excellent, methodical testing with the same Dyno used for repeatability.
      But as Feoffle said I'm not keen on the American terminology either. While I fully get the requirements to be understood by the target audience but maybe using the British terminology followed by the American translation. Before long we will all be using American car nomanclature and British nomanclature will be lost. It's bad enough Word constantly correcting my correctly spelt word because I've used an 's' instead of a effing 'Zee' 😭 and my kids keep using American terms...
      Excellent video content once again and the car looks and sounds mega.

      @@EvolveAutomotive yeah I checked the orings at the transmission thermostat and found that one of the supply lines from the top of the transmission to the thermostat is weeping. The orings from the thermostat to and from the cooler are perfectly intact without leaks. As is the side pan and mechatronics oring. Bottom pan appears to be ok and all the fasteners are snug. I suspect the fluid from thermostat oring is getting blown across the pan to make it look worse.

    • @soopermarkus

      Very common source of DCT Leaks. That O-ring shrinks over time. It looks like a mechatronics or pan leak, but it is coming from the top of the DCT and that O-ring. The new O-ring is much thicker. I think it is an expensive repair, since you might need to drop the DCT. Fix any driveshaft clunk at the same time (guibo and center bearing).

      By coils you mean coil packs? If so just use stock.

    • @nycshelbygt500
      @nycshelbygt500 2 года назад +1

      There are OEM and less expensive OE coil packs for the S65 V8. If you have the tools it isn't too bad. It is very difficult to get to the rear coils on both sides. Check YT videos. Coils are super tight to remove...don't use a coat hanger. You have to remove the plastic covers above the cylinder heads. Be gentle, since the plastic gets brittle due to heat and might crack. You have to remove the cabin air filter covers and another piece near the firewall to get to the back coils. If you replace the coils also do the spark plugs (every 35k miles). NGK OE Spark Plugs. You might as well also return the cabin air filters by Corteco OE and BMW or BMC air filter...since the air box has to be removed. Might as well install the Eventuri carbon fiber air intake and air box lid, plus the new CF ducts. BMW increased the prices of the coils in the last few years x8. New coils help with a smooth idle...but the defective Idle Control Valve and Fuel Tank Breather Valve are the real culprit.

      Our Supra videos did so poorly we didn’t bother continuing the project. An engine swap also isn’t something we would get involved in for a customer. Is it possible? Sure I guess, the coding side would be the hardest thing I imagine,
      M5 CS engine is identical to all other F90 M5, so power wise would be very similar. Have heard very good things about the upgraded suspension setup though, maybe something we should investigate.

      Yes for sure. We tune more E92 M3s in the USA than we do over here!

    Do your newly designed test pipes have resonators welded into them? What is the bulged section with the Evolve stamp on it?

    Does your tune change throttle mapping in all modes? I always have it in sport. Normal is too "soft" but sport + is too "twitchy". Curious on how your tune works with the sport button and is there an option to not have the throttle map changed?

      Changes it in all modes yes.

    Hi...has ther been any progress on the suspension kit you fitted...you mentioned at the time that it was a little firm and wanted to work with Bilstein to build a more suitable package for the M3

    • @EvolveAutomotive
      @EvolveAutomotive  2 года назад +2

      Yes its actually on our car now. We have made a video on it but don't want to release it until we have stock which should be in the next month or so. Supply chain issues hitting Bilstein quite badly.

    One other question besides the Tune and Cat Delete, what other supporting mods would you recommend to get similar performance to the Japan Red E92 m3

    • @EvolveAutomotive
      @EvolveAutomotive  2 года назад +1

      This has no other supporting modifications, we put it back to stock (power wise) to do this test. Best money would be making sure your spark plugs are new so that the car can meet its ignition targets.

    Why do you guys from Europe always use brake horsepower? Wheel horsepower is so much better for measuring performance.

    Why is the car so high at stock? Is it because it’s limited edition? I thought the E92 only left the factory with 414bhp?

    • @EvolveAutomotive

      All cars have a variance as said, we see between 410-430hp for a stock car that is performing as it should.

      @@11clarkm we have seen healthy cars make this before on dyno dynamics. At the end of the day we only care about the delta and the dragy runs. Is it actually faster. Yes. End of story
