I have pearlweed in my low tech 30 gal tank and as the name implies, it is growing like a weed, without CO2 injection. It's a great plant for everyone, especially beginners.
Pearlweed truly is an amazing plant that looks good as a carpet, as a background plant, floating in the sump, or even emersed. Thanks for the video!

one tip that helped me "carpet" this plant without co2 was putting a clear plate or piece of plastic over the plant so the plant gets light but can only grow horizontally. Once i got it to the with i wanted just took it off and it worked. It might not have been the best thing for it haha but it worked :)
Yes!! This tip works great for Monte Carlo, too!
Aquarium Co-op does the best job packaging plants and their quality can’t be beat! My only complaint is that their selection is minimal, but I hope they expand their selection! Thanks for the video, Joel!

I have a pearl weed carpet as a forefround in my 100 gal. It's a great plant for beginners or advanced aquarists! I breed neons and shrimp like crazy in it when kept at 4" to 6" tall. I need to go do some trimming, it grows tall, fast! great video!
I love it because of it's versatility, and for what great fry cover it makes.

I had a full carpet of this stuff for my wife's 10g Betta tank and that stuff was GLORIOUS iv never had such a even and green carpet in my life. We ended up QTing a tire track eel in the tank and ripped it all up but man it was a sweet 6 months
(For a full carpet it's best to start with seeds in a new tank, if your gonna put it in an old tank grow it on some mesh and plant the carpet after it grows⛰️)
One of the most ounversatile plant. You can even let it wrap around the wood or let it root on the rock, or let it grow tall as a background plant. And its very hardy

Nice one Joel. I can't say that I've had much luck with pearl weed in the past. Maybe it is time to give it another try.

One of my favorite aquarium plants! I've grown it with and without Co2.
I like the idea of sending somebody along to help open the packages. Maybe a helper monkey? But now you have a monkey to take care of and nobody has time for that.
Great video i have pearlweed thats attached to my java moss on my drift wood, i just let it grow and dont touch it but in a month with co2 that stuff exploded haha i love it! I wish my dwarf sag will carpet thicker and less spaced apart i prefer a nice full lush grass look.

My soil is lil bit in coarse foam so can i plant this or it will unroot ?
Ive bought pearl weed from many places but they dont look like that at all. The leaves are smaller and not spreading at all

I put 2 pots worth in my 10gal shrimp/guppy tank. Well seasoned fluval stratum(no gravel cap, never doing that again lol). With AC easy plant light and easy green. It doesn't seem to be doing much at all. Been about 3wks.
Any pointers?
Probably insufficient light would be my guess.
@@CorvusOscenwell shoot. I got er at 30% from 730am to 430pm. According to Corys par reading, it shoot be right around 50-60.🤔

I bought some, and I can't seem to get it to stay in the ground. It keeps floating around and grabbing onto all my duckweed

Can this be grown from dry start method? Trying to figure out if these pearl weed seeds I got on amazon are a scam. Haven't found any videos about growing pearl weed from seeds.
