  • In this video, we're going to teach you about pearl weed aquarium plant, one of the most important plants for fish tanks.
    Pearl weed is an essential plant for fish tanks, and is particularly beneficial for timid or nervous fish. It provides a safe place for fish to hide and reduces the chances of them being attacked by other fish.
    If you're looking to add an important plant to your aquarium, be sure to add pearl weed! It will improve the health and biodiversity of your aquarium, and provide your fish with all the nutrients they need to thrive!

    Would it do fine in sand but with added firdilizer to the water?

      Take a small wad, bunch it, and stick it in the substrate. I plant some in this VoD: ruclips.net/user/liveuhazNXSJO-s

    Unbelievably, I don't have any Pearl weed in my fishroom. Closest thing I have is Rotala indica.

      Pearl Weed is the second easiest plant I've ever grown. The easiest being Hornwort. DM me on my website or email, If you end up trying some pearl weed, let me know. I'll throw a thing of hornwort in with it.

    How tall tall does your pearl weed grow? I’m looking to set up some outdoor pond tanks this summer.

    • @BishopAquatics
      @BishopAquatics  Год назад +1

      It will grow to the top of the tank. However, when it goes very tall, you run the risk of having the bottom parts of the plant develop "leggy bottom leaves" which basically means they're getting light deprived at the bottom. So just make sure to have it appropriate for the amount of light!

    My pearlweed is just dying off weeks after first adding to my tank. Anubias and duckweed are doing well. I keep adding ferts but nothing.

    • @BishopAquatics
      @BishopAquatics  8 месяцев назад +2

      How much light is it getting? The only times ive had pearl weed die is from lack of light, or over abundance of nutrients (it doesn't require too much)

    • @rae1711
      @rae1711 8 месяцев назад

      It’s a regular daylight spectrum bulb and it’s super close to the tank(lamp). Small tank with just a betta and 4 zebra endlers. Light is on from 8 am to 10pm. 🤷🏽‍♀️
