It was a nice sharing my friend, regards
Thanks for watching!
After watching your video I have a good understanding of this light and I just bought it. Thanks.
Glad I could help, I hope you like it! Mine is still going strong!
why all the skinny and deforned fish?
timestamp?
❤
Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I'm a subscriber to yours. Absolute joy taking this tour with you. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! Completely different out there, I bet my outside set up would turn into an ice cube!
Can u sell them? I'll buy
I have some for sale, check my website link in the description!
Beautiful! What are the water parameters?
I dont pay close attention to water conditions as I used to. Its fairly hard water down here in Arizona, but i've also ran the exact same tanks in Colorado where the water is very soft.
Wow!
Thanks!
Works better fir bare bottom 😂
Are they floating or have substrate? 🤔
Floating, but it can also be planted.
How long did it take? No CO2? Just lighting?
Do you still have these?
Yeah, I still have pearl weed, It has a rough time this summer, just growing it back out now!
❤
Are they on the surface? No substrate?
What is the substrate you use? And do you use any chemicals or tabs keep the pearl weed alive? 🤔
Not normally, but if I do add something its, nilocG +. Also I use a variety, from pool filter sand, dyed sand, pebbles, barebottom, and ecocomplete.
Subscribed. I will be floating this in my baby ranchu outdoor pond, inside a floating basket. 🧺 Protecting it from the ranchus eating them ☝️
Nice! it should grow well!
Just started a Shrimp only tank , nice 28 litre bowed front tank, Very cool to see them all scooting about
Have fun! Shrimp are great!
One advantage of hornwort is that, if you have a natural aquarium with microfauna, the plant has lots of surface area and hiding places for small animals that serve as food for the fish. My gouramis especially get about half their food from foraging in the hornwort. Plus the stuff grows about an inch per day.
This guppy strain is horrible to breed they deliberately hunt their young NON-STOP. My other guppy strains show little to no interest in the young compared to these albino koi guppies
Hey can you sell me some of those taiwan lily? I can't find them anywhere.
I thought those needs to be planted
Quality female 🔥
He’s got the tube colors setup the opposite of the manual’s instructions. The white one goes from the water source to the stage one input. The blue tube goes into the stage four output. Granted, the manual is very non descriptive, but I found out through trial and error, the correct way.
Hallo, ich habe mir auch die Reinerbigen Moskau Blue Guppis zugelegt. Es sind sehr schöne Fische. Es fiel mir auf, dass du sehr viele Weibchen in deinem Becken hast. Beste Grüße
doesnt it need to be on the aquarium floor since poop sinks?
Exactly lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. I have a stem of hornwort plant that I purchased about 10 inches. 7 days later that stem is 15 to 15 inches taller. It is very true that hornwort grows very fast like weeds. Beautiful plant 🪴
Look like blue moscow
Tubs capacity and ponds capacity for water please?
Gorgeous size and color ☺
Gorgeous shape and size ballerina 💛💛💛💛
why my pearl weed plant somewhat round leaves after plant delivered
if you decide to get another batch this winter, from my own experience I would recommend starting them with an 18-20% spirulina algae wafer that's also got about 30+% protein (I normally use the Zeigler's Algae Wafers because my local feed store carries it in bulk lol, but I'd think anything with similar %'s would basically work the same?) as their sole diet if they're under 1" (allows you to give them as close to 24/7 food as possible to avoid potentially stunting growth; I like to check on how they're doing every 6-8 hours and add more of the disc(s) as they get low on what they're already eating / potentially remove old ones as needed) and then feed them both the wafers and start to introduce (whichever high protein flake/pellet you plan on using) when they're between 1-2", and then shift to primarily using the (flake/pellet) + add in any "diet-supplements" (like the black soldier fly larvae you've already been giving this current batch, as well as move any leftover wafers you have from the earlier stages into this group for more of a "few times a week") after they're over 2" long.
I kept Najas guadalupensis in aquarium for several years, and it was thriving. But this year, it's starting to decline instead of multiplying like before. Has anyone else experienced this? How long does Najas typically last through vegetative propagation, and what’s the best way to bring it back to health? I’m a bit lost and would really appreciate any advice! (I've read that Najas guadalupensis is usually considered an annual plant in nature, but it can last for several years in aquariums through vegetative propagation)
HELLO 👋 still enjoying my Bishop Guppies. Maybe it's time to get some new ones!
What is your hottest temperature and the lowest temperature of the year where you live? It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Arizona, but when we lived in California, we did experience a 120° day one time and a 123° one day one time, but it would get very very cold in the winter where we lived. I think the lowest I can remember was 17°F and we had the college I was going to at the time right at the. Place where the trade winds blow through the pass.
Hottest is 120+ and in the winter it can get to upper 20's/30's. We cool in the summer and insulate during the winter with insulation boards and heaters. The cold is definitely more tricky than the heat!
I have been weeding out the long back guppies. I can usually pick them out as soon as they mature, but I want to get a series of 10 gallon tanks to do more dividing right now. I have five fish tanks, but the. 56 gallon tank, usually ends up with the mut guppies. I have also found a 10 x 10 pond basket that fits in my 10 gallon usually as soon as the females grow up, maybe three weeks I start picking them out and putting them in the tank with the pond basket. I only dropped the feed in the pond basket so they have to swim in to get it once they no longer seem to be able to go in and out of the pond basket. I catch them with a net and put them all in the basket. If they can’t get out of the basket will pick out a male or two to breed them. The reason I do this is because the baby guppies are safe in the tank when they’re born without being eaten by the males and females .
Seems like a great setup for selective breeding! I like the sorting by size method. I've seen a few large breeders do the same thing!
Great video
How do you manage temperature fluctuations from extreme heat to cold
You should put filters on your stock ponds.
I use nerite snails they keep glass clean.
Good tip!
How do you prevent hair algae?
In General: Gravel Vac to remove nutrient build up and less light. Personally: I don't, I just manually remove it and feed it to my tilapia.
Are you raising these for food? A friend tried the same experiment and found them to be very strong tasting.
I am! That is interesting, I wonder if it was from their diet or another factor. We'll see how it turns out!
During my initial research before I'd started raising mine, I learned that Tilapia are one of the farmed fishes that are recommended to be put in a "purging tank" prior to culling/processing. (some of the larger tilapia-farming channels have videos on their various set-ups for purging their fish; mine's just another heated stock tank set-up.) I normally put mine in for 4-5 days, since I've seen recommendations ranging from "at least 72hrs" all the way up to "6-7 days", and it's worked pretty well for my purposes so far.
Did you put heater to eavry tubs?
In the winter yeah. This year i'm going to try geothermal on a few though!
Do you raise them for commerce or as a hobby only?
This was my first go at raising Tilapia. They are currently being raised as a high quality and cheap (personal) food source. I'm not sure on the legality of selling them as food, but I may look into it depending on my results. I currently raise other fish for commerce.
soldier fly larvae is such a multiuse great crude protein/ animal feed. i just watched a video about the cultivation of black soldier fly larvae and it seems like they have many uses. nice fish will be looking into your channel more.
They are indeed! We actually started using them as chicken feed supplements. Experimented with them as fish food, and they love it too! Thanks for watching!
Very interesting....didn't know they were citlids
Yep! They sure are!
How much for trio. I have to many yelloy tiger guppies.
They're great aren't they? We don't actually sell trios though.
Thanks for the tip! I need to get some fans.
You bet!
