I bought the BMPCC4K when it first came out, and I didn’t really learn how to use it for a long time since I’m not a pro. I’m glad I kept it, because with all the firmware updates that have been released, it’s like having a whole new camera. The Gen 5 colors and the gyro stabilization are excellent. Basic color correction is easy. Just shoot raw, and convert to rec 709 in Davinci, and it looks fantastic. It took me a while to get it all rigged out little by little. Now it has a cage, a Metabones speed booster, a Sigma 18-35 lens, an external SSD, a Shinobi monitor, and a V-mount battery. Plus I finally learned how to use it. I also have a Sony a7S3 as my run and gun setup. I basically leave that on a gimbal, with the Sony 20mm lens. That Sony auto focus is fantastic, and the camera is just about idiot proof. For photos, I have a Sony a7R3, and a Canon 5Dmk4, both of which I got dirt cheap used. They are both fantastic cameras, and the prices on them are dropping like crazy since everybody is always upgrading to the latest and the greatest, but a few years ago, they where the latest and the greatest.

For the slowmo recording, the bmpcc4k can shoot 120fps (windowed in raw) at 2.6k, and 75fps in 4k @ 2.4:1 aspect ratio. While the image is slightly softer (creamy) on the blackmagic it is definitely a more cinematic image than the sony can do and infinitely better to work with in post, also the ability to record externally to SSDs is underrated. Hello. Thanks for the message. No, I haven't reviewed the 6K in this video. It has not been mentioned. But you can check it in this other video: ruclips.net/video/VH96iUR5n38/видео.html
The sony is more for the people that do run and gun stuff, the pocket 4k is for those that do narrative. The biggest killer is that amazing m43 sensor and mount. The sony's fine, but it's got stabilisation and is full frame, not exactly desired features for filmmakers. I'd still chose the gh4 over the sony. It does the same stuff without the drawbacks.
‘’The gh4 does the same things as the fx3 ‘’ wtf ? You have to be trolling 😂😂💀💀 that none autofocus, horrible in low light , low quality images camera isn’t in the same ballpark as the fx3 . I had a gh4 and rented a BMPCC6k and the fx3 is better than both because of auto focus
Do they look very similar to you? The FX3 image quality looks like crap. It’s not about the matching colors, it is about that horrifying digital cellphone look that you get with Sony with a price tag of 5000€, external 10bit, no Davinci BRAW magic and the worst menu in camera history. A fully articulated unusable screen. Sony FX3 is total garbage.
I think once you add on a pro-most filter, use Phantom Luts and learn to effectively color-grade the footage, you can get very cinematic and beautiful footage from the FX3. I've seen plenty of them on RUclips if you look hard enough. Also, I remember watching a blind test video and could not tell which was which as they were both so similar. Regardless, both cameras can look very similar if you put them in the right hands. I understand what you mean though, because I initially thought the same thing until I began watching more content and seeing that the FX3 is very capable and can look very similar to the BM.
Not a honest review, the facts aren't equally brought into the video. For example u dont said that the fx3 is recording in 4k 120p. Ur are not letting the facts speak for them selfs which means Ur are afraid the Sony somehow would be better than the black magic pocket cc4k
Thanks for checking the video. This is my honest review and my decision according to my experience. If you do not agree you are free to think it differently without accusing people online or you could test the cameras yourself and then make your own review. Ciao ciao

I was riding a rabbit as filming
The sony is more for the people that do run and gun stuff, the pocket 4k is for those that do narrative. The biggest killer is that amazing m43 sensor and mount. The sony's fine, but it's got stabilisation and is full frame, not exactly desired features for filmmakers. I'd still chose the gh4 over the sony. It does the same stuff without the drawbacks.
Hello. Thanks for the feedback. And good to know about the Panasonic, I never actually used it myself! Consider to subscribe for more videos 😄
@@MamoAir already done, good work.
@@boomboombaby9140 What on Earth are you on about?
@@dpc4548 you said the gh4 does the same thing the fx3 does without the drawbacks lol the gh4 is the definition of drawbacks 😂😂💀💀💀
My gut is telling me docks and cameras are a bold move.
😅
I wont buy any camera with no open gate mode
Thanks for the feedback
Do they look very similar to you?
The FX3 image quality looks like crap.
It’s not about the matching colors, it is about that horrifying digital cellphone look that you get with Sony with a price tag of 5000€, external 10bit, no Davinci BRAW magic and the worst menu in camera history.
A fully articulated unusable screen.
Sony FX3 is total garbage.
Thanks for sharing your feedback 👍
I think once you add on a pro-most filter, use Phantom Luts and learn to effectively color-grade the footage, you can get very cinematic and beautiful footage from the FX3. I've seen plenty of them on RUclips if you look hard enough.
Also, I remember watching a blind test video and could not tell which was which as they were both so similar. Regardless, both cameras can look very similar if you put them in the right hands. I understand what you mean though, because I initially thought the same thing until I began watching more content and seeing that the FX3 is very capable and can look very similar to the BM.
@@JulianRalphie exactly. I get that look with no effort with my bmpcc 6K
@@JulianRalphie thanks for the feedback.
Sony 120p 4k

Not a honest review, the facts aren't equally brought into the video. For example u dont said that the fx3 is recording in 4k 120p. Ur are not letting the facts speak for them selfs which means Ur are afraid the Sony somehow would be better than the black magic pocket cc4k
Thanks for checking the video. This is my honest review and my decision according to my experience. If you do not agree you are free to think it differently without accusing people online or you could test the cameras yourself and then make your own review. Ciao ciao
