I am post menopausal. You will have to pry my HRT from my cold dead hands.
I learned this from personal experience. I have been theough so much.

I’m 62 and have been menopausal since 2018. As long as I stay low carb, I have no hot flashes, good energy etc. Would HRT be beneficial for me?

You are in that 30% of women whose intracrine system makes just enough estrogen at the tissue level to stop the awful flashes and those symptoms BUT typically it's not enough to avoid osteoporosis, alzheimers and heart disease. If your weight is good ie no visceral fat, your bone density is good, and you didn't have any brain fog, urinary issues, digestion issues, joint issues, mood issues, changes in eyesight and dryness, tooth health, no heart disease or metabolic disease, no autoimmune problems and no muscle loss, then maybe hrt won't do much for you. I have listed common issues directly linked to loss of sex hormones. I don't know anyone in the 30% who are not having some of these issues. They are focussed on no hot flashes and didn't gain weight. They have no idea that stress incontinence and the aching knees are menopause related too.

What do you recommend for someone that has an IUD, and is close to 50 yrs. old and does not have periods? thanks

Stay on the iud. That's your hrt. If you come off and you're in menopause, you will hit the wall. Do an fsh test. If it's elevated you are in menopause.
