I watched an interview with them from their place on the Isle of Wight. .. they say Chaise lounge 47 times in the song. This is like fresh air. Ediot: sphellings
this song totally reminds me of the New Wave music when it first came out back in the day in the early 80's...like something they would've played on KROQ in LA...totally loving this song!!
Omg how I envy you. Most fun band since, I dunno, Sugar Cubes. Might even like the second single more. They look and sound a tad tired here...there's a long way to go from here, let's hope its a long one
I can't wait to watch this at Glastonbury (I don't go these days, Im too old and boring), with 50,000 people chanting "all day long on the chaise longue'.. And they will, oh they will...
One my favourite new bands I saw 👀 them live . Met the singer and the drummer incredible brilliant band and this band is mega amazing incredible I love them
@@TheTransitmtl ……I think you are right on the money on post-punk, my guess would be 1978-80. The music definitely has a hook and is fun. After reading many of the comments, there is a lot of praise from the 50-70 crowd (myself included 53😂) which confirms that we have heard this before and it was good!
I think Wet Leg will continue to smash, and just get better. They are just having fun and we can jump in for the ride or not. I really hope this was a great experience for them. Smash it, Wet Leg band!! 🤘🤘
Damn it, you're spot on. It would've fit in perfectly with my Franz Ferdinand, Electric Six, Scissor Sisters, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian etc collection at the time.
"Is your mother worried? Would you like us to assign someone to worry your mother?"
One of my favourite lines this year.

You should be horizontal now.
LMAO
@@thethree60five I think you mean Isle of Wight -unless you're confusing them with The Bee-Gees!!!!
@@coolVicar ...opps...
You are Wright.
Dually noted fine sir.
This probably the best ever cinematography in a live music video I’ve ever witnessed
This is probably the best ever comment on cinematography in a live music video I’ve ever witnessed.
That's the BBC for you.its not hard as the room is small anyway .
Reminds me a lot of the sound of The Breeders, or even The Pixies, back in the 90's. Happy to hear a new band like that in 2022 !
drummer and bass player kick absolute ass on this one
Right? That rhythm section is fire 🍻
The camera work on this is excellent, those really tight zooms really fit the vibe of the song and the band.
Yes they deserve really good filming 😃
Very turn-of-the-millennium style.
@@mopsvonmiez I think someone gave the cameraman a wide angle zoom for Christmas!
I agree
And the editing too...
Played this before church, fantastic record...
This song is so mad and I love it to death. I can’t remember the last time a record grabbed me by the ears and twisted them this hard
Exactly !
There goes your one-hundred thumbs up :)
Christ, I’m a 70 year old rocker and you guys just freaking kill it! 😎
32 years old here, totally agree with you
62 here and this is fantastic!!
I'm 52 and I love it 👍👍🤤 especially the blonde 🤤😂👀👀👀
12 here, amazing music since 80s
Haha Wicked! I'm in my 50s and I absolutely love this! Super talented and fresh!
Doesnt matter how many times i hear this it just gets better and better. Sake. ❤
The drummer/bass player keep that beat going flawlessly
They are so good, never felt so invested in a band - DONT fall out guys, we love you!!!!
Love this sing. My song of the moment. 👍🏾💪🏾😁
I really hope they don't get tired of playing of this song. It's the best song I've heard in a few years.
Best live version of this song. That rhythm section is off the chain 👍👍
This still kicks ass 🍻
Three and a half minutes to restore your faith in guitar rock. Inspired.
That's absolutely fantastic... What a breath of fresh air they are.
Love at first listen. Magnificent. That's how you do it.
Same as. My mate played me this and Wet Dream about a week ago and now I'm hopelessly in love. After two bloody songs!
What a great performance, by a great young band, of possibly the best one-chord wonder of a song ever written ... Love it!
BRILLIANT! Every generation has been waiting for this song. That's also the highest I've ever seen a guitar played.
You should listen to Thee Oh Sees :D

Record of the year, hands down. Brilliant.
Saw these at the Isle Of Wight a few weeks ago. One of the best things I’ve ever seen

A masterclass in perfect pop. Just magnificent.

It'll be 50,000 people shouting "WHAT?" for me
Check their web site - they have a USA tour and a Europe tour next year - they are storming ahead...!!!

These are brilliant. One of the most exciting bands for years 👏👏👏
This music is so fresh and fun! Love all of it and their live performances are excellent
Wet Leg is great. It's very by the book post-punk though. It's fresh only for people under 20

Thanks for introducing me to new music, BBC. This song is awesome!
I am having to ration the number of times I listen to this on a daily basis just so I can function...
My man is truly tempting Health and Safety to create new regulations vis a vis how high you can legally strap a guitar
Tom Morello begs to differ.
I think it’s the way…..
@@xeroniris Tom Morello has no hair
Him, Tom Morello and Dave Mathews have been in completion for years on who can get the highest. Who will die of strangulation first I wonder?
This was pioneered by Mark King
Never change, college radio. Never change.
Heard this a few days ago for the first time- currently playing it on repeat- if it had been on vinyl it would be knackered already.
best version
Omg the singer is fucking gorgeous
Looks a bit like Claire Danes
Great take, fab sound, lovely setting!
My new favorite band. I need to watch out for any west-coast US shows.
Just can't get enough of this tune....
Cant tell you how happy i am to see these guys get a break like this ! The feel of their music is great and i honestly cant wait to see them live !
This song is so fresh it's callin' me names. LOVE IT! 😎
Best song of the year . Love it
This is the kinda stuff I'd have listened to at college 16/17 years ago, nice
Damn it, you're spot on. It would've fit in perfectly with my Franz Ferdinand, Electric Six, Scissor Sisters, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian etc collection at the time.
Breeders meets Sonic Youth equals eargasms......... fantastic work.....x
Excellent musical observation. They sound unique but Canon Ball did spring to mind.
Absolutely 👍 💯 made up someone else thinks the same!
I love the way they get kindergarten kids to write their lyrics then put it to music, totally amazing
Close! The head-space of giggly thirteen year-old girls on a sleepover ..is how Hester and Rhian put it.
If that kindergarten class is getting a "big d" you need to call the authorities.
The Ivy House! First pub I ever went to! Great place, great band.
BANGER. Looking forward to see you live in LA next month!
My faith in rock is restored.
Look forward to more. Great sound.
Saw them live this year, they have some great material. The debut album is going to be killer
This live version is so good - they rock hard!
Fantastic new music💯Love the style very much!

Yes. Do it again.💜
Rather pleasing recording.
