I'm 65 and randomly heard this song the other day, the beat, the swagger, the guitar riff, everything about it is incredible. I'm probably the only 65 year old singing and humming this song in the grocery store and on the golf course, rock on girls.
This HAS to be song of the YEAR!!! Been listening since summer in Dallas on KXT. These ladies are fresh, fun and AMAZING!!! dare I say video of the year also???
I've already commented on this, but feel compelled to say that the more I see and hear it, the better it gets. It's a brilliant and joyfully intelligent work of art. The video perfectly embodies and enhances the song.
Well I've just celebrated my 70th year on the this planet , in that time my music collection has , starting with The Beatles , has grown quite a lot , this sound is the next to add to my collection , brilliant !
It has had a few dry spells. Today's music is littered with really cool music and pop "stars" created by their investors and agents. These girls seem like authentic cool flower child don't give a fuck women (excuse my use of the term "girls ", just bowing down to their youth.

I can't get enough of this track. The vocals are so sly, understated and cool. Then the guitar kicks in and launches the song straight to Mars. "Excuse me... what?" is as indelible as the Who's "Mm mm mm my Generation." It's that memorable! I love this track! "I've got a chaise longue in my dressing room, and a pack of warm beer that we can consume." Oh, I am so there.

Listening to 94.7 in Portland, OR. Finally, something new that's original, cool, and humorous without sounding pretentious. I literally just heard this on the radio for the first time. Gives me hope for modern music. They sound great.
This is a flawless music video that completely fits the vibe of the song. Love it when the person in the background is jamming out in the field lol.
This has such a Veruca Salt, alternative, punkish vibe. It totally took me back to the 90's and I love it!
yep - or Breeders

I was thinking The Ting Tings but you are absolutely right.
Apparently do mostly people from older generations (like me) prefer this. And that is a bit sad.

Its November 3rd, of the year 3019 of the third age. I am a young Ent under treabeard's command assaulting Isengard, we were losing the battle but listening to this song broke the dam and unleashed the river to wipe down our enemies.

Better line about worry you mother........Masterpiece 👏🏻
I absolutely love this, thanks BBC 6Music! Was an 80s indie kid now a 50+ year old who still loves discovering new music.
Just a buffin mutterer then?
In my 60s now, I've heard, and seen, my share of great female led bands. It's like all of them rolled together, had a love child and named it Wet Leg. Yay!
yup.
@tecdessus not even close. Imo Wet Leg blows them out of the water.
Have you heard of Halestorm
@tecdessus cheers grandad
This song is especially popular with people in their sixties it seems.
Heard this song on the radio and was instantly hooked. The guitar beat is awesome 👏
Everything about this song rocks!

But the question I want to know the answer to is this: how many mothers did you worry during the construction of said chaise longue?

I was a roadie for Nero during the Roman Empire and I haven't seen a band this exciting since we did that pyrotechnic show at the Coliseum
4 years of Latin prepared me for this comment
Yasss, King. Hey Buddy can I have my fiddle back now, tho?? :)
You might have been a roadie for Titus. The Colosseum wasn't these yet at the time of Nero.
Yet you're excused, it was such a looong time ago...
Love you guys did with the fx at Pompeii. Top notch bro😊👍
Would that have been the eruption of mount Vesuvius?
I remember you.
You are the best indie rock band of our time! Thank you Wet Leg. Your music is so energizing. Peace and love. 💚✌
I'm 65 and randomly heard this song the other day, the beat, the swagger, the guitar riff, everything about it is incredible. I'm probably the only 65 year old singing and humming this song in the grocery store and on the golf course, rock on girls.
I'm 65 too and saw them on the Brits. Never heard of them before. Very refreshing. Best thing on the 'show' :~)
@@andrewwright8725 Concur your sentiment. They have a real new wave almost punk rock feel from the 70 s and 80s. Impossible not to love them
Well I'm 63 and love it like stink, so I'm almost there.
I am 67 and really enthralled by them and song at Brits. Love the lyrics and they are so hip, envy their age. Fab new talent with capital T!
Ye gods! I’m 51 and generally into death metal…but this shizen rocks! 😂😂
I went out and bought myself a Chaise Longue after listening to this song...I am very happy with it...😁
What are you doing sitting down? You should be horizontal now...
I got a day bed by mistake.

This HAS to be song of the YEAR!!! Been listening since summer in Dallas on KXT. These ladies are fresh, fun and AMAZING!!! dare I say video of the year also???
That's where I heard it too! It's so catchy.
Just found these guys .. so fantastic to hear great young music .. it’s been a while ..
This is like Peaches crossed with Le Tigre's "Deceptacon" and I absolutely love it

I thought of Le Tigre and the Flying Lizards immediately

Can't stop listening to all kinds of recordings of this... pre-ordered the album, what else can I do? This is just so effing brilliant.
Today's music is littered with really cool music and pop "stars" created by their investors and agents.

i'm 63 and was casually listening to the radio when I heard this for the first time. Stopped whatever the mundane thing I was doing, cranked the radio up and have lost count the number of times I've subsequently watched this video. Explored the music and videos much more now and I adore them.
I can't get enough of this track. The vocals are so sly, understated and cool. Then the guitar kicks in and launches the song straight to Mars. "Excuse me... what?" is as indelible as the
Who's "Mm mm mm my Generation." It's that memorable! I love this track! "I've got a chaise longue in my dressing room, and a pack of warm beer that we can consume." Oh, I am so there.
My favourite line - would you like us to assign someone to worry your mother?
Did you really just compare this to the Who?
The guitar sequence is very similar to that in Lightening Bolt,Jake Bugg.
@@Shed_Heeran No he didn't compare it to The Who. He likened the hook to something in another song. Maybe learn to read.
