@@caneyebus lol I was thinking that the other day after I listened to Get Ready for first time in ages. Unfortunately I lost everything in a fire some years ago but back in late 90s I would pick up 80s new wave, synthpop, gothy vinyl for literally like 4 for 2.50! So cheap. I can still see the hundreds of fingerprints on the black Sisters of Mercy records. I had a ton of Factory, 4AD and Mute records. I'd a single of Blue Monday with the fancy fold out sleeve. Apparently they lost money on that single because of that! I'd tons of stuff by Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, New Order, OMD,Human League, The Cure, Sisters, The Mission, Bowie, Jesus&Mary Chain, The Fall, PIL, Damned etc... I had a copy of The Cure '17 Seconds' and whoever owned it had pritt sticked in loads of reviews and articles about the album from the music trades of the time. As much as I would love to get a vinyl collection again, it's just unbelievably expensive. Sure the records are remastered and everything looks and sounds better but I can't justify the price! Back then the indy record shops survived on bootlegs and moving shed loads of vinyl for cheap. Everyone was into MiniDisc and cd then. I'll stick to FLAC and maybe get a vinyl or two of my favourite albums to frame or something!
This is probably the best music vid on RUclips. It’s just so right. I particularly like this version of Too Late Now - it’s the prevalence to the siren from the synth that stands it above the album track; somehow it adds jeopardy and crisis. Really like to play supermarket on the car stereo and me an my wife do the weekend shop (the irony)😂. Also the guitar bit in the middle of Too late now really adds something that somehow makes it better than the album version in my opinion. Great work Wet Leg. Anything new on the horizon????

Wet Leg, your music either makes me happy or makes me feel a lot better about being sad. Either thing works. It's really good to see and hear this live performance on the porch. I've loved all of the music I've heard from you. I'm in my 60s and have always loved good rock music. I had started to think maybe there wasn't any rock music left in the world, but then there you were, doing rock music so real, so right, and so fun, like the easiest thing possible. Please don't let fame mess it up. Don't let social media bother you. People on media can be really negative and all that, but they can also be the same kind of honest that rock music is; where they won't say it if they don't feel it. As your popularity builds, you might start to see comments from people who don't really get what your music is about...but remember what it is just to have fun making your music, and don't concern yourself with those who don't get it. Whether you make your music for 20 years or 20 hours or 20 minutes, I'm going to feel happy and fortunate to hear it and to see how happy you are to play it.
Since my grandma’s ancestral roots (in Toyama ) first saw and listened to the initial embers of music for joy, there hasn’t been a band such as this to move ones lips and feet to.

The energy, creativity and fun always make the best bands sound better live than when recorded. These guys are awesome, loving everything they do. They're rocking people of all ages, it's so refreshing.
Thanx D!!! x
I’m getting on a bit now and this is the best music i’ve nearly heard since Clodagh Rodgers .
Sounds like the better parts of the 90s. Love yall.
Yep. The Breeders and Belly and I’m here for it.
Learn to spell.
yep defs having a Gen X geek out on them haha
I love how these songs got me back to the '90s indie rock bands. I still have my old CDs, bands like Elastica, DHC, Pavement, Pixies, and Sonic Youth, I'm so glad I stop to see the Dior show and found you guys!
Im ready to go...Cant Fight the.........you know it
The Fall comes to mind
Henry - You rock!
You know... the "what?" thing. I have no idea what that's all about and I really dont care as it makes me smile every time.
Superb. Best band in years. All members playing their part to the max. A great collection of innovative songs. Proper music, proper singing. But working oh so hard. Please don't burn out!
I love it when you can see the drummer!
This band is so insanely talented. Every song is good if not great, and that's rare!
I'm loving them. Like of a 2022 version The Breeders, doing their own thing.
I have no words to express how much i love this band
I was bored of music and missing hazy summer days with my teen best friend, listening to nineties music in my scottish garden. This music gives me the same nostalgic feeling as remembering those days. She's a c u nt now so thank yooooou for giving me the feels back ♡
Probably the best I've heard these songs sound so far. 👍
Completely agree with you on this. It's so good, I would be interesting in having a recording of this.
Random feed...You Tube algorithm does it again! Solid....sold. All in! ✌😎🎸
Vous me ramenez dans les 90's , je vous adore !
I’m a Filipino and the world needs to know that in 1521 a European explorer named Magellan got killed in the Philippines when he refused the assignment given to him by the local king, to butter the native’s muffins on a chaise lounge, all day long on the chaise lounge. Thank you Wet Legs for bringing back to life our forgotten history.
😉
I can't get enough of this set. Have listened to this set at least 5 times today.
Love Wet Leg and especially that green Fender guitar 🎸! ❄️🌍❄️💕🙏🎸💣💥🍄🔥❤️👁️💓🎵🌟
Love it!!! They totally have something that can't be put into a container. They are like the B52's, yet totally original. This is what we all need to survive this crazy world. THANKS!!!!
You're gonna have to elaborate on this totally original nonsense 😂😂
this video was the first time i heard this band and is the best way to know them. love it so much
Yeah I was actually bummed after first seeing this then going and listening to the album. The didn't capture them at all in The studio! This is Wet Leg!
Their simplicity with song writing is very effective. They make the audience very happy. That's all that matters.
Words can't do what this music is doing to my ears. Nice times ahead for after listening.
😉
It's been a long time since a new group was so good and so original.
Yep
Every band who writes their own stuff is original.
That was excellent - I can’t wait to dance to these folks live
Can’t wait to see them in September at the Truman in Kansas City!
am 62 years of age been loving my music for the last 50 and can honestly say haven't enjoyed watching any band live so much they just buzz together much appreciated gang breadth of fresh air 🙏💙🌈
I’m an old lady now, 59. Love this music!!
This is the best i've heard them sound live so far. Just absolutely killing it. What an amazing band
All the gigging is paying off. I saw them exactly four months ago, and they were very good at the time, but they have gotten so much better at everything since then. I desperately hope the five of them can weather the tumult of sudden success and stay together for a long time.
@@rhanlon70 yeah man i hear you. I liked what i heard live but everything sounds sharper here. Ithink they'll handle success well they seem to have their heads screwed on my only problem with this band is having to wait for a second album
I love that they have so much fun performing.
😀
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Wet Leg 💖
all day long on the porch, nice band, nice to see you all, cool drums
I watched that loudly on my own. I stood and applauded at the end!
*_YEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA_* ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Thanks for the mini-concert since it looks like you'll never tour near here! I'm loving the album! Now if you'll excuse me I have to *_I E I E I E I E I E I_* !!!!
John Peel would have loved this band as do I. Their music is so good - Wet Dream is absolutely flawless.
So true!
Uh. No. Way off.
Superb: These kids have a bright future. It's refreshing to see a fun, original, upbeat band during these challenging times. They remind me of early Blondie, the B52's, INXS, & Weezer. And, that is high praise. Tap an ice cold keg & listen to Wet Leg. If I were in college, I certainly would. ENJOY your youth!
How dare you compare this crap to weezer
Probably pre-Kick INXS, when their sound was more new wave.
Hey buddy just to let you know that all bands who write their own stuff are feckin original ok!!
so great..all the best from Denmark Copenhagen,,hope to see you here someday
I love this band so much!
Makes me want to be in a band again
Absolutely awesome performance from the best new band for ages!
Wet Leg is such a neat band. Their music is fun, silly, kinda philosophical, danceable & demented (in all the good ways). Brilliantly addictive. I love getting stoned on a few dabs and losing myself in their joy. #Awesomeness ✌🏽❤️🎸🍄
Never heard of WetLeg until just listening to you giggling on radio 4, love your music 🤗
Love, love, love. Redefining rock. Stay true to you; I imagine it ain't one bit easy. Sending you love and ease through all of it.
smashin' it out of the park...on that very cool porch....
I LOVE everthing about this band!
love how she always starts giggling during chaise longue lol
Since my grandma’s ancestral roots (in Toyama ) first saw and listened to the initial embers of music for joy, there hasn’t been a band such as this to move ones lips and feet to.
Oh
I can’t stop smiling
Love this band! The band that so many of us have waited for!
...as a former working bass player I am really drawn in by the bass and drums in these songs....the sound is GREAT. Great job by everyone involved!
This is the most exciting and fun music I’ve heard in a long time. Love you guys !
The smiles say it all. Fantastic!
