Thank you, Nice Person!!!
Doing the lord's work!
And at 9:12 they rock so hard they blow a fuse 😉
@@JZikovsky beautiful way to say that sound tecnic just failed hard hahha
I absolutely agree ✌️
KEXP has introduced me to several of my favorite bands. I can always count on them.
I have the same problem. KEXP is putting me in the poor house - but it's worth it.
I’m a 62 year old veteran husband and grandfather anyway😂i was turned onto Iron And Wine at a shroom festival but while searching for their songs I stumbled upon this channel and I’m here to say THANK YOU KEXP 🍄🔥✌️
same here.
Cheryl Waters is my favorite member of most bands
yes definitely KEXP is a good source of rock :) I strongly advice to check kexp live of the australians King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
Power cutting out didn't stop the drummer. A true professional.
Drums saved the day at the power cut!
What a solid sound this band has developed
That was VERY cool!
spoiler alert much????? x)
@@PullingEnterprises why read the comments before watching the video. SML the state of some people.
@@PullingEnterprises huh?
The guitar-wash sounds like MBV.
I’m 62 years of age seen some of the great bands over the years like the clash Siouxsie & The Banshees just loads, I can tell you now these fantastic musicians are a gift from the gods, I absolutely love their music I hope they have great success because they have a fantastic breath of fresh air that badly needed in the music industry
agreed, there's a lot of crap music about at the moment, this band is really, as you say a breath of fresh air
You might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like listening to Wet Leg
Old git I'm only 60 but agreed
YES. I tear up to a lot of their stuff because it's like Oh thank God something new and special. GenX were so spoiled with incredibly exciting bands for so long and I think we feel the lack of it so much harder. Wet Leg is special. And it feels like FINALLY. Lol
Love them. Enormously. Saw them at The Royal Albert Hall in London last week
WET LEG! Obsessed. So fun…light…silly…catchy…a breath of fresh air. Just what this B-52s fan needs in times like these. Now we need album #2! Thanks to them and KEXP…
If B52's and Lily Allen had a musical baby. Exactly what Wet Leg are!
The drummer is pure energy
I’m 70. Love this sound. The kids are alright!
Just discovered this band. It's extremely rare for me to listen to an entire random list of a bands music and come out of the experience feeling that I honestly enjoyed every track, but that's exactly how I felt. This type of music is almost timeless. You could tell me it came out in 2002, or 2022 and I'd believe either. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's one of mine.
Man do I feel that. I have been listening to these guys for like two weeks straight and I saw them live since. I feel like everytime I hear their music there is this new dynamic that I find in every song and it is motivating to me loving them more and listening more!
Not to mention it seems like they change the dynamic for all of their performances
These are great very unique 🙏
Wet leg are a magical energy I haven't felt this much for a band ina long time either. My friends say my musical tastes are pretty lesbian for a 6'3 Male! hahaha
Exactly what I told a friend last night explaining them. Across decades and genres
This band is 1990s sounds injected with 1980s fun and it's truly wonderful.
One of my favorite bands in recent years. I love their chemistry, the tongue in cheek lyrics and commentary on society and the awkwardness and anxiety we all feel at times, and most especially the entire album!
Love this band. Great mix too! Hester's vocals get lost in so many live recordings but they all came through here.
Hester love of my life
Thats it! Just feel the music!
@@marcelogonzales1422 crushin on her too, what a great band
Yeah, they usually need to turn up her mic.
Drum sounds is fuckin great
Yeah, drum dude really stole the show for me. They've got great synergy and all, but those drums were killer.
I’ve seen a lot of drummers but never seen anyone drum in a heavy sweater… zipped all the way up!
Petition to get Rhians voice on audible to read us The Hobbit.
Truly such a talented band! Love them so much
Finally Hester's mic has some volume to it! Also, first time hearing a proper recording of Being In Love, which was one of my favorites from the album!
i think it's really good on the "On the Porch" performance on their official channel. Also the set they just posted from their gig in Sydney this summer
EDIT: clearly my memories were mixed up, there's a few live performances I've got on regular rotation to just listen to. It's not the Porch performance (which is still a true gem, must watch for all fans) but there's definitely some live recording that's been online for at least 1 month or so, in which the band opens with Being in Love. I think it's been their opener on tour for some time, so if you sift through performances since this spring, you can definitely find more of the tune being done justice in both execution and recording.
@@sirfizz6518 The "On the porch" version of supermarket might be my favorite edition of said song to date.
she wispers in interviews, its so cute
Just realised how the lead singer has Kim Deal vibes. Which, obviously is a very good thing.
I am so friggin happy for this band!!!!! They are so talented and take me to a very HAPPY PLACE!!!!!!!
Sheer fucking joy... this band is awesome! Everything I grew up on in the 90's turned to pure gold.
I still wonder why there's haters for this kind of music on KEXP's channel. It's literally the kind of music they're always putting out and showing, what else would you want?
Sorry but I'm not a fan.. it's a little too silly for me. I do love The Strokes tho.
@@rupman27isback I'm not saying you SHOULD like it. But you don't have to be like the person that made like 5 comments saying they sound horrible. We get it, you don't like them. Go away then. I do love RHCP too lol
@@GT2OOO Def isn't horrible but just not my cup of tea at all. And RHCP's for life! I can't wait for Oct 14th.
@@rupman27isback rhcp sound like your reading dr seuss book
@@rupman27isback You're an RHCP fan so your opinion is fucking void. Mike Patton still wants his act back.
Playing the drums back in was one of my favorite moments. That was great.
Omg I love this!!! Thank you so much❤❤❤
Kudos to the engineering! You really make the band shine!
Thx for posting this! Wet Leg is my favorite debut in decades.
"Wet Leg?" I said to myself. Decided to give it at try. I was hooked on the first verse. What a great set!
even when i knew i really loved their music i still wondered about the name until they explained in an interview... it's slang from their native Isle of Wight, meaning someone from the mainland who crossed the water to get their, hence "wet leg". so i guess now that they have left the Isle and travel across multiple oceans multiple times, their leg is presumably quite drenched.
Me too
It's the Breeders revamped and updated 🎉😊
Guitars and real drums in some great pop tunes. I love it!
That reaction shows that there is something great about Wet Leg. Lots of happy smiling faces. Good times, all the time indeed. Love 'em!
Happy smiling faces? Lol, everyone but the DJ is wearing a mask.
@@Funexpected yeah. Go figure
This was the first live show I saw from Wetleg on YT, glad to see its back on here!
Go check out the npr tiny desk.
@@thecappy thanks, but I've already seen that one many times before.
Check out their show at First Avenue in Minneapolis on The Current!
Honest note. Ive seen major bands. But i really like these. Grabbed my attention.. Fresh air. ❤
Thank you.
Luv these guys and their motley band. They always sound great. Thnx Kexp!
My mind eye has seen how much the drummer has matured during his travels overseas. His raw celtic power has been transformed into ancient irish wisdom. GOD BLESS YOU CRAZY LONG-HAIRED BEAST !
I think this mystic appreciation is what the music deserves!
Errr what’s with the Celtic power and ancient Irish Wisdom…you do know Henry?
Shine on, you crazy diamond!
Respect. Dude has timing like an atomic clock and serves each song without indulging in a single unnecessary flourish.
They just keep getting better and better!
I saw this band 3 times at the show from Harry!! I love them so much
I frickin' love how the power went out and they rolled with it. Some roadie turned on a toaster in the back...
I love Wet Leg. Can’t wait for album 2!
What a band! Gotta thank KEXP for all these great performances and bands they feature
noticed them on Deutschlandfunk in the morning :) great !!!
So hope I can see them live sometime.
Both of them being so smiley certainly adds quite a bit of charm
I am really happy I discovered this group great sound.
Got to see these guys live
This is the first time I've heard this band. Really impressed, they remind me of XTC.
GREAT garage band!
Great band! I love a drummer who knows exactly how much to play. He plays right to what the song needs and no more.
Hearing that powerhouse drummer at full go naturally acousticly was a very nice outro for that song unexpectedly!
Good times.
All the time!
i saw them for the first time in mexico city yesterday and the song i was the most excited to listen to was “ur mom”, they did not disappoint!! loved screaming like crazy w them 💕
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Wet Leg. It's a similar vibe but different :)
Awesome Thank you kexp
Superbe groupe. ❤️❤️❤️
I am falling in love with them.. song after song it gets stronger.... :)
Great band. Amazing Show. Love KEXP.
Totally brilliant live set, always such fun with their smiley vibe, unfazed by the power outage … amazing band, so wish I had the opportunity to see here in Melbourne recently :(
Another fantastic live performance. That rhythm section is fire 👏👏👍👍
This was great, thank you!
A nice departure from the normal stadium show. I wished it were longer.
I really like they way they focus on the various instruments being played. Been following the band for a year. This is the best video performance I have seen so far.
These guys make me happy. I'm 54 and it's great to know original rock is still being made by young talented musicians. Brilliant!
i knew thered finally be an age one.
@@joejones9520 congratulations, you have amazing powers of perception.
Great band! An absolutely awesome Pre-show you gave us in Werchter.
Love from Belgium!
This band is growing on me a lot.
Really nice performance... Impressive sound!
Thank you very much KEXP
Que genial esto cheeeeeee! Re bancooo!! Suenan excelente. Gracias KEXP por mostrar cosas geniales nuevas.
that screaming part makes me smile :)
coming here soon. cant wait to see them
I love how Ur Mum is such a great moment for audience participation!
The drummer is awesome 🤩
The first time I heard wet dream, I was hooked. It just showed up in my suggested videos.
Kim Deal is back!!🤩
Can't get enough of these guys. They are so refreshing. They remind me of bands of the 90's like Ween, Cake, Breeders. Their sense of fun is contagious. I love their British charm. Part of the song Wet dream reminds me of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. who they supported in OZ. Best thing in a long time.
Yes, definitely The Breeders.
I have a crush so bad on Rhian, so bad... The band is amazing
Don't we all?
Omg I LOVE this! Thank you sooooo much!!! ❤
sound levels are good in this video! really enjoyable.
KEXP sound engineers are famously awesome!
Love this band!
Oh my forking goodness! This band hits my motor dance neurons & I'm 63 & havnt heard much that makes me pay attention like this group!
I know it's "ageist" in a certain way, but I was THERE when this music "type" was birthed, & I am so very very happy to move to its new emergence!
So damned good! Live & videoed!
Damn that bass on Wet Dream
I love their song "OBVIOUS"... it's so beautiful.
Understandable power outage, they rocked it out
looks like this band came out of the movie midsommar
Little Port Townsend! How cool.
Wonderful! Thank you.......
My heart just melted, I've loved you both for your uplifting and just plain cheerful craft for about a year now. the last 10 minutes.. cemented that for me.. all the best in everything you do.. just please remember this first album.. you created so much love and happiness.. I just want more for us all xxxx
I fell in love... magnificent band !✨
thank you for this KEXP
You might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like listening to Wet Leg
So good!!
Love it...real subtile way of art...by dressing, acting and presenting.! Neat.!
Oh brilliant. Was hoping and waiting for these guys to get on here or tiny desk. As a Brit it is always a pleasure and a buzz that you guys like our music. We have about the same amount of people as there is in New York State . We tend to try to emulate American bands. Thanks and Howdy , from an americaphile or whatever the word is for not being American but loving most about it.
they done tiny desk at the start of this year
@@donalmaguire6099 Cheers Donal, I must have missed that one. I’m subscribed to their channel and check it regularly. Going to find and watch now. Can’t believe I’ve not noticed.
I think it's a Septophile, Mike.
Let us know what you've done with the other 50 million of us, won't you?!
anyone who's hip to indie appreciates the incredible amount of great music that's come out of the UK for over half a century. the USA and UK have both seen so many great musicians come up, many of whom have crucially influenced across the pond and back. here's to the success of many more great artists from all over.
@@sirfizz6518 well said
this is what I need, some fresh air in music !
actually incredible
FUN!!!!!!!✨✨🎈💕
Love these girls and guys.
Amazing and refreshing band. Great energy and vibe.
Fav. bit was when the drummer kept going during the power cut.
Being in love can feel so good or so bad. I enjoy this because they understand it's both at once. I love wet leg
The Best!!
Wow! First time listening. Wet Leg come to New Hampshire! Your tunes rock!
Love you guys!
Thanks 👍
Your guys are awesome.
Another gem, a treasure really.
Really liking the KEXP sessions
I agree, life is crazzzzy!!!
