It’s one thing to burst onto the scene with some catchy tunes and music videos… it’s another thing to be so good live onstage. It’s hard to believe their writing, look and sound wasn't honed over a few albums. In a performance full of surprises, a big one is "Obvious". Fun, fearless and fully formed right out of the gate, I hope their future work isn't altered by big budgets and bigger expectations.
They've got that elusive talent of writing seemingly effortlessly super catchy tunes. They're great. Makes me think of The Strokes' debut album. One killer song after another.
Wow. Terrific video of a terrific concert by a terrific band. These kids are all right. If their parents loved the Kinks and the Who like I do, they are proud and happy.
ABSOLUTELY! Part of me wants them to re-record the studio album for that reason. (Not happening, I know, and that'd be sort of odd anyway.) I just want the world to hear them like this (live, in the groove, super-tight).
