Bought it and well done for reaching number 1 in the album charts!!!!!!!
@Lawrence Windrush
That's a comparison that's quite on the mark!
This video makes me wish I was down in Ventnor , wandering around aimlessly , on mushrooms , at sunset , around September , gazing out at sea , and up at stars.
Hey bunch of weirdo's ;-) Thanks for your great music and video's. Missed your gig in Paradiso Amsterdam :-((
Mine just hit on Wednesday. Nice to hear it on my stereo instead of the crappy speakers I have at work. This song in particular is a beast turned up.
I almost got old, then I found Wet Leg and am feeling much better now. Really the best music I've heard in a...while. Time is irrelevant now. I can listen to Wet Leg.
I AM OLD! And this band is fantastic.
I always take it as a bad sign when older people say hoe much they love a new band
ME TOO

@@sghantous It wasn’t meant to be an insult.
It’s just that when older generations like new bands it shows that the band isn’t trying anything new, that their sounds are familiar and pedestrian - not innovative at all.
If they were to do something really new then I’d expect the older generation (on average) to turn their noses up at it. It’s just an indicator that’s all
A little sixties French, some eighties Icelandic, a splash of nineties Seattle and something that reminds me of drinking scrumpy down the woods on the South Downs in the evening sunshine....Magic.

Snakebite made with Scrumpy, my god, like being on another planet, worst hangover ever 🤪😆

Honestly the freshest unique sound I’ve heard in many decades. I’m a 57 year old bloke that’s found a band that makes me feel connected again.

Every so often music becomes stale, boring and predictable. And then out of nowhere, a band comes along to remind us how great music can be. Thank you!
Indeed. I was at the point of wishing to chop my ears off due to excessive Ed bleedin' Sheeran ( . . . especially on Radio 2!!) , then thank you RadiO Six music for drawing my attention to this!!👍

In a good way....?
"Angelica" is a masterpiece. Haunting, melancholy, emotional, exciting, erupting into an unforgettable electric sub-guitar explosion. Sure to be one of the year's biggest hits.
blah blah blah
I agree, Angelica is a masterpiece.
Agreed!
That line, "Good times, all the time" is like a lyrical hug.

Literally wet leg has satisfied my need for new music in my life. They can't do anything wrong! I get so damn happy every time I see something new!
They make me want to jump and down in my chaise lounge.
Yr reaction fits mine so congruently. As someone who rode the wave of the eclectic, reinvigorated pop music of the "90s" (as if you can measure musical eras in 10 year increments) I felt like the last big year for pop music was 2008 and then it becomes the question am I just getting too old to appreciate new stuff... but BOOM Wet Leg appears and I'm just floored by the raw talent. 2 nice unassuming ladies just come along and remind of the sweet power that rock music can provide. Almost too good to be true. 😉
Wet Leg and Dry Cleaning are the best 2 bands I have found during the last 2 years.
@@Liam-en8me i now have to check out Dry Cleaning :)

Love this band. I'm an old school punk rocker and this is the best thing I've heard in a decade. You all seem to have a wondrous joy and humbleness towards this whole experience. Don't ever lose that. You will become big. Don't let the industry take this away from you. True talent. I look forward to seeing you all do great things.
Perfectly articulated dude! Hope this finds you well and swell.
@@jkdw admittedly I kinda tuned out around 2002. Hard to get my attention no days. This band did.

Haha I feel the same man. 25 years of punk and for some reason I really like this, I can't quite figure it out, there's a lot of similar poppy stuff out there but Wet Leg caught my attention. They have a special something.
I really haven't felt this kind of magic since the early '90s. Thank you, Wet Leg, for conjuring it up once again.
I'm guessing your an Elastica fan.
I’m 54 and I love Wet Leg 😊 reminds me of the music of my teens in the 80’s ❤

This band doesn't only make you love music, it makes you realize there's still real music in existence! 🎶
Killer new song! killer new band! loved the wall of sound feel....play it LOUD!! (67 year old here. LOL!)
This is my favorite song of theirs so far! It has such a cool sound, it's like a feel-good mix of shoegaze and surf rock!
I agree they're all brilliant but this track is my favourite
That’s a good call, bury the vocals a little further back in the mix and it’s totally a ringer for shoegaze (which already sorta has surf rock sounds)
I've been having a bit of a Wet Leg sesh tonight and have the double-A of Too Late Now/Oh No left to play but reckon I've just heard my favourite.
Ur mum is cool too
I'm 82 years old and I've been waiting for this music for a LONG TIME!!!
Love their attitude and the way they face the world - whatever "indie" means - in this band you see true independent spirit and willingness to go against convention

What a great band... These girls are channeling Joy Division, Romeo Void, the Velvet Underground, and some Missing Persons and making it their own sound and unique vibe... I can't get enough of Wet Leg. Keep it up, girls, and stay golden!!
Agreed. Waiting for them to cover "Never Say Never"
A little Arctic Monkeys too
@@matthewperkinscoppola9906
Except that "Never Say Never" is angry. Wet Leg are not angry. Their reaction to underwhelming guys hitting on them is resigned, deadpan amusement and annoyance, not anger.
Joy Division...? A step too far.
@@stephie.m Dude, it's like how the Monkees were influenced by the Beatles.. Wet Leg certainly doesn't have the manic darkness of Joy Division, but they do borrow -intentionally or otherwise- JD's moody musical minimalism.

So happy my dad showed me their music, they’re so cool!!
LYRICS:
Angelica was on her way to the party
She doesn't need to wait for anybody (What-ah)
Knows exactly what's she's doing
I watch as she commands the room (Commands the room)
The ambience was overrated at the party
Want to run away before it's even started
I look at my feet, then I look for the door (The door)
Can't find my friends, so I just take a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more
And then it all comes to an end
We all go again, go again
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Angelica, she brought lasagne to the party
I tried my luck at dancing with everybody
Sometimes life gets hard to deal
I like you, you've got sex appeal
I don't wanna follow you on the gram
I don't wanna listen to your band
I don't know why I haven't left yet
Don't want none of this
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Angelica, she brought her ray-gun to the party
Angelica obliterated everybody
I look at my hands, then I look for the door
Can't help but feel like I've been here before
I don't know what I'm even doing here
I was told that there would be free beer
I don't wanna follow you on the gram
I don’t wanna listen to your band
And then it all comes to an end
We all go again, go again
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
