Good idea, always love immersive exhibits, but I would switch out the wisent. They aren't really an Arctic species, they inhabit more temperate zones at lower latitudes.
Personally I would add in the wolves over the dall sheep since wolves are much more iconic and fit the vibe of a North American area better. Whether you want to put in the Timber wolf or Arctic wolf or both is your choice. Also I feel if we get a musk ox, I feel it would fit perfectly here as well
Oh this is gonna be my favorite area of the Zoo for sure! I can't wait to watch you fill it up! And for animals I would also prefer Wolves over the Dall sheep like some other people suggested already but also Moose and Beavers would fit so well into the Frozen North! The Moose could be combined with the Deer and Beavers in one big habitat to make it look even more realistic!
You know, I'm surprised there hasn't been a "North American forest" section yet, every Southern zoo I've been to has at least 4 North American forest animals (I remember the Cameron Park Zoo had black bears and white tail deer)
In game we also have the Aleppo pine, obviously a hot weather pine. I see that you filtered for desert, grassland, and temperate trees that look like northern trees.
i always wished id see some more recent arctic areas/zoos because building in the game has come so far and i feel like that lack of skill and pieces in the days when it came out really hurt the arctic pack's reputation, definitely the most underrated dlc, you know what all three of the first dlc are mega underrated.
Thanks for making these videos! I really appreciate watching a build of this scale come together without having to pause a speed build. Great job, keep it up!
Excellent ZSH! If you want to see a great Polar Bear Habitat in real life, I was just at the Calgary Zoo. Its a large 2 acre habitat with multiple dens and swimming holes. Really amazing.
Very exciting project! I used to live in Finland, so I like these cold areas. You could add the moose too, or the lynx (pretending it's the canada lynx instead of the eurasian one)
the 'travel beyond this point is not recommended' reminds me of signs we see in Australia as you travel into the Outback.. except it would be warning about extreme heat, sand drifts and limited supplies such as water and petrol😅
that entrance looks so good! and i might be the only one but i think those picnic shaders do match the theme, unless you aren't going for that look, but that material was used by indigenous people in the north to build their villages, which is why i think it fits because that's how it's been portrayed to have been used throughout history. either way, i'm looking forward to this new section
This area is going to be legendary! What if you put some education about the ice age in different parts of the area to go along with the skeletons at the entrance?
My mind is blown with using the track ride to get smooth slopes lol I spent at least 30 minutes in my latest play session trying to make a smooth hillside for my habitat that wasn’t super steep and struggled so much. The ride would’ve been so much easier!
I think wolves (probably Timber Wolves due to climate) would be a super realistic addition to the area, they are super common across North American zoos. Almost every zoo I can think of has wolves in some capacity.
Hey ZSH! Wonderfull zoo you have so far! I have a theoretical question for you. If in the next DLC they add Extinct Animals, (Thylacine, Quagga, ect) Would you add them to ZBZ? Its just a question Ive had and wonder what the community as a whole would think.
ponderosa pines, which are in the game and might be the ones you were using, can live in rather warm and dry areas, especially if they have cool winters and hot summers.
I like the idea of wolves for the area, if possible, otherwise I'm already loving this new area. The road sign and mammoth skeletons are nice touches too. I really love touches like them in real zoos: replicas of chimp nests, safari camps, just to name a couple I've seen in real life.
Love these vids so much. Thank you for making them. Just curious, when we watch we are seeing these sped up, what is the average time for some of these in real time? I do not think we really understand how much time it takes to create many of these habitats/zones or even custom pieces. I can just imagine how long the seal lion habitat took.
Hey have you heard of the Monterey bay aquarium I live near by it they have some rly cool exhibits idk if any of them would fit ur zoo but you might wanna check it out
I would love to see a mountain stream! I don't think many fast flowing rivers are built in planet zoo. A habitat with water rushing through, alaskan spring with northern flowers and very dynamic.
I would really like to see some grizzlies, since their natural habitat is set in Alaska and northern Canada, so I think, that they would be a perfect fit for the area
Could do a mini mountain area of the frozen north w/ Puma, Dall Sheep, and something like the Wolverine. Reindeer, Arctic Fox, Arctic Wolf, Polar Bear could then be on the top of the plateau as a sort of Tundra. Bison could also make it here, too!
i know you’ve long since moved past this with a whole new zoo and everything, but with the traffic sign you should put planks on the bottom that the signs posts are attached to. In most cases the sandbags are weighing that plank down and keeping the posts upright rather than being up against the posts like you have them here
This area is going to be so cool! I would love to see the wolves and dall sheep in this area and maybe the American bullfrog as it kind of looks like the wood frog which is an arctic frog from Canada!
i se4cond what a lot of the comments are saying, definitely add arctic wolves! i may be biased since they're one of my favorite animals ever, but i think they would be perfect for this area!
Id suggest Reindeer, Wolverine, Gray Wolves, Arctic Fox and Polar Bear for the chosen animals for the Frozen North. Also if you want more implied birds, Id suggest go for the Larmmegier. Oh, and also go for statues of Arctic cetaceans (E.g. Orcas, Narwhals and Belugas) put all over Frozen North. It fits that many of these cetaceans swam in the Arctic ocean as well
I would like to see some Wolves, Elk, Bison, Moose Caribou, Snow leopards, Grizzly bears, Beavers, Lynx, Muskox, Dall Sheep, Arctic fox, and mountain goats. That is a what I’d like to see be added to the Frozen North.
Would be very happy to have a seal habitat next to the polar bear one without seeing each other. I believe ZSH will make this best prey and predator habitat in Planet Zoo.
I know people keep saying remove dall sheep but id keep them as they are a really cute animal to put near shops or a restaurant if you add any more of them
I think wolves would be a better fit for a frozen north section over the cougar. Even tho you can sometimes finds cougars up north, wolves are a more predominant predator in the north. Out of the many American zoos that I have been to, I haven’t really seen any that display cougars in their Pacific Northwest/colder region sections. Not saying that there isn’t an exception out there, I’ve just personally never seen it.
New episode every Saturday as normal but, for this area, I'm not going to force myself to do a new habitat for each episode so I can spend longer on the inbetween bits
Id personally prefer bison over reindeer, just think that you see less of them in zoos (or i think you can put both in the same enclosure?) and maybe a raccoons if you have a bit of extra space that needs filling?
I find them both unlikely, the walrus due to its size and scarcity in zoos, the sea otter as it is fully aquatic. I would definitely add the sea otter though!
Honestly, you were pretty good with the pronunciation! Inukshuk is more commonly pronounced as “in-ook-shook” in Canada. ruclips.net/video/NKQ97rOwBH0/видео.htmlsi=s4osj_pVMAw-eEju Looking forward to these new builds! 😊❤

Aw thanks! The game runs great on PS5 although you can't build super detailed big zoos due to the complexity meter sadly. It does run smoothly though 😁

An area with a wisent, elk and wolf habitat that look like they are one big forest would be awesome
Ye that would be cool
Yeah that will be great
Good idea, always love immersive exhibits, but I would switch out the wisent. They aren't really an Arctic species, they inhabit more temperate zones at lower latitudes.
But an elk isn’t in planet zoo

East Texas is known as the Piney Woods region, so you can definitely find them south. Not the same species I'm sure but there are lots of pines
This is the kind of stuff I wanna hear, thanks!
In game we also have the Aleppo pine, obviously a hot weather pine. I see that you filtered for desert, grassland, and temperate trees that look like northern trees.
Snowy/cold habitats and areas are very underrated in my opinion
i always wished id see some more recent arctic areas/zoos because building in the game has come so far and i feel like that lack of skill and pieces in the days when it came out really hurt the arctic pack's reputation, definitely the most underrated dlc, you know what all three of the first dlc are mega underrated.
I'll try and solve that!
It's so awesome to see how my work influences others. Can't wait to see how this area turns out!

Very exciting project! I used to live in Finland, so I like these cold areas. You could add the moose too, or the lynx (pretending it's the canada lynx instead of the eurasian one)
I would love a Lynx actually, I have something different planned for them though
Cougars don't really live that far north. It's too bad the only lynx in the game is the Eurasian one, but I won't tell if you don't ;)
**Nederlands:**
Looks great and a nice start for the Frozen North. And it's also better that you are now taking more time for this project.

Thanks! Yeh the theming is gonna be late 19th/ early 20th Century frontier Alaska so they might be a bit too old.
i am very excited for this area! And i think those shadeswork just perfectly fine.
So excited to see this develop! I hope we'll get a video one day of all the franchise masters tips together
There is a top 10 franchise masters tips video already, I intend to do another one at some point as well
@ZSHplays absolutely, I was thinking a quarterly roundup of tips as the game develops new features e.g. the barn animals
I feel like the Arctic Ring of Life at the Detroit Zoo would be some great inspo for paths and viewing areas for this area!
Amazing video ❤😊
Love the video ❤😊
This area is going to be legendary!
What if you put some education about the ice age in different parts of the area to go along with the skeletons at the entrance?
Yes I think I will, there was fossils etc in the cold area in Prague Zoo which I liked
I've been waiting for this area since the water terraces ! I bet it's gonna be amazing 😄
No way! I hope you like it, I'm gonna try and make it the best!

Thanks! I would not as I like things to be realistic
ponderosa pines, which are in the game and might be the ones you were using, can live in rather warm and dry areas, especially if they have cool winters and hot summers.
That is one of the very few things I knew so there are lots of them already 😁
You should add Arctic Wolves

Yeh gonna have a lot of this stuff in the area!
If you are ever in Germany, I can recommend the Nordhorn Animal Park, the Münster Allwetter Zoo, and the Wilhelma Botanical and Zoological Gardens.
Thanks for the rec!
Very excited for this one!!
Awesome!
I Love it!
So excited for this new area, I would really like to see moose in this area too!
They're on the long list, just saw them in Prague and they were cool
I love your zoo so much, if this zoo really existed i would spend all my money to see this zoo. I wish i could build a zoo like yours

I do not think we really understand how much time it takes to create many of these habitats/zones or even custom pieces. I can just imagine how long the seal lion habitat took.
Thanks! The footage is only slightly sped up, however it's normally about 12-16 hours of building that gets cut down to 15 minutes.
Hey have you heard of the Monterey bay aquarium I live near by it they have some rly cool exhibits idk if any of them would fit ur zoo but you might wanna check it out
I have!
I would love to see a mountain stream! I don't think many fast flowing rivers are built in planet zoo. A habitat with water rushing through, alaskan spring with northern flowers and very dynamic.
There's going to be a stream in the next habitat! I got the idea from I think it was Alaska Zoo, something I saw on Zoochat anyway.

Yup!
looks amazing so far!
Thanks!
I would really like to see some grizzlies, since their natural habitat is set in Alaska and northern Canada, so I think, that they would be a perfect fit for the area
Me too but they look like potatoes in game so I think not
Could do a mini mountain area of the frozen north w/ Puma, Dall Sheep, and something like the Wolverine.

This area is going to be so cool! I would love to see the wolves and dall sheep in this area and maybe the American bullfrog as it kind of looks like the wood frog which is an arctic frog from Canada!
All possibilities, apart from the bullfrog
Finally the some cold weather animals
P.S. don’t forget coolers

Another great video! I don't know anything about plants, but having lots of sprinklers is unlikely with the drought restrictions here.
SBZ has reached an agreement with the authorities in that regard 😉

I’d love to see an homage to L’anse aux Meadows, the place in Newfoundland, Canada, where the Vikings landed 1000 years ago
That sounds interesting! I'll look it up, thanks!
I would like to see some Wolves, Elk, Bison, Moose Caribou, Snow leopards, Grizzly bears, Beavers, Lynx, Muskox, Dall Sheep, Arctic fox, and mountain goats. That is a what I’d like to see be added to the Frozen North.

How do you plan your areas? It looks like you have planned everything you do. Amazing video btw!
I draw them out, in fact I showed how I do it in the previous episode
@@ZSHplays Thank you! You have really helped me to get better in this game.

Definitely wolves would fit this area beautifully. A moose or grizzly habitat would be perfect too.

Even though this is a month old, this vid was made the day after my birthday
Could you use the decals to transition from one path type to the next? like you use for roughening path edges
You should've called it "Northern Exposure" lol..... 😂
I would love to see the Grey Seal they are my personal favourite animal in the game
Are you going to add more of the tram that you built before
Yes, I need to finish one more area and then the next station and track will go in
You should definitely add a habitat based off of Calgary Zoo
Thanks for the tip!
Its ridiculous to me how they havent added a walrus yet like it would be such a easy reskin of the sea lion
I don't know how PZ would handle a swimming animal that big and they're only held in a handful of zoos so I imagine that's why
They have moose which are also kept in not a whole lot of zoos@@ZSHplays
I think wolves would be a better fit for a frozen north section over the cougar. Even tho you can sometimes finds cougars up north, wolves are a more predominant predator in the north. @@ZSHplays oh yes, it will be fun. They’re as worse as the hippos

If the polar bears get added name one of them referencing "freddy fazbear" from fnaf.
Maybe you should do a wisent or a arctic wolf?🤔
Wolves are a possibility
Id personally prefer bison over reindeer, just think that you see less of them in zoos (or i think you can put both in the same enclosure?) and maybe a raccoons if you have a bit of extra space that needs filling?
I've considered the Raccoon actually!
Idea: A moose and a grizzly bear enclosure?
Moose are a maybe, the Grizzlies are a bit potatoey so I'm gonna stick to the Polar Bears
if a Walrus or Sea Otter (either Alaskan or Southern) gets added in a coastal dlc will they be going in?
I find them both unlikely, the walrus due to its size and scarcity in zoos, the sea otter as it is fully aquatic. I would definitely add the sea otter though!
ah ok, musk ox potentially?
How do you work out how to start you zoos
I pick a theme like big-budget american zoo or early 20th Century British zoo and go from there

Soooo coool u should maybe add a mouse
