i love how much attention to detail you put into specifically the real life facts that dont always apply to the game. like deciding not to put the red-ruffed lemurs in because of their aggression. it makes the zoo feel so much more alive and realistic.
I love this so much, that final shot where you're zooming out from the forage enrichment as the lemurs are congregating around it was amazing! Glad they have a home in SBZ after the lemur facility shut down :)
Great video as always. It's always the first thing I watch after coming home from work. Also, obviously giga biased, I would recommend Burger's Zoo in Arnhem, The Netherlands. It has the largest indoor desert and second largest manmade coral reef aquarium. (take those claims with a grain of salt, but they're definitely impressive). It's most noteable feature though, for us Dutch folks at least, is the Burger's Bush, sometimes the entire zoo is refered to as just that, it's that popular. A large indoor tropical rainforest with a lot of free roaming animals (mostly birds, fruit bats and some extremely hard to notice lizards). It's also been elected to be the best day out within the Netherlands a few times which makes me happy as a proud Gelderlander.
I was at Randers Regnskov in Denmark last year which was an amazing experience. It's pretty small landmass wise but they have the exhibits set up in these domes you walk through which is really incredible. It really immerses you into the environment the different species live in and sets up this feeling of being able to view an entire ecosystem at once which I found really awesome. Edit: It mainly focuses on tropical species but their outdoor exhibits also try to take you back in time to the species that used to populate Europe.
I am so happy I found this channel! I am so hyped for planet zoo on console since I’ve always wanted to play but never had a PC. This channel has been great with inspiring builds and amazing commentary. Thank you ZSH!
If your looking for a good European zoo I would definitely recommend Chester zoo in the uk ,home to rare animals such as the false gharial , fossa, okapi and much more if you do go I recommend visiting after the 25th of march when the new snow leopard arrive. with 500 species this zoo is definitely worth going to
If you're going to Holland, my hometown (apeldoorn) houses 'Apenheul' which is an only ape zoo and close by is arnhem where burgers zoo is. Burgers zoo is your classic zoo with lots of different animals and a cool dessert type area with lynx (my favorite). I recommend both these zoo's
This is a month old but I love Gaiazoo in the Netherlands because it's still a new zoo and so the habitats are modern or Tierpark Hagenbeck in Hamburg, Germany, just because of the 'Eismeer' (ice ocean) area with polar bears and penguins etc., that was insane to walk through. Love your videos 😊
8:30 Zoo recomendation from Norway, "Kristiansand Dyrepark". It houses several animals such as camels, wolves, lynx, otters, red panda, a 3 meter long phyton, a flock of lions, and a family of 7 siberian tigers. Its my favorite zoo, and the home of the famous chipanzee "Julius". It also houses normal animals such as cows and pigs too.
the zoo also has a tv program called "dyrepasserne" where it showcases how the park is maintained from behind the scenes. Like when they introduce new animals or when something goes wrong and an animal gets sick.
Zoo Recommandation for in The Netherlands is Burgers Zoo in Arnhem. It is realy special as they make ecohabitats, where there are a lot of mixed species. They have the largest living coralreef in europe, and they have manatee's in their mangrove area!
Port Lympne Kent!!! - best zoo ever in it looks like an actual slice out of Africa in Kent, uk. ps- if you want to feed giraffes and black rhinos plus get an off-road experience in their safari get the AAA tour which is pricy but sooooooo worth it
in France you've got a few; ZooParc de Beauval is on my list. You've also have the small menagerie in the Jardin des Plantes which is the second oldest zoo in the world and the Le Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine also looks like it has some amazing exhibits.
You should definitely visit Pairi Daiza! I have heard Kölner zoo is also good but I have never been there. In the Netherlands, Beekse Bergen is a fun zoo. It is the first zoo I have ever been too. Aquazoo and Avifauna are honorable mentions for smaller zoos. They respectively focus on aquatic animals and birds. Love to see more tours at zoos just like you did in Singapore!!
A zoo tour video sounds interesting. Most of the zoo tour videos out there focus more on the animals (understandably). So it'll be nice to see a zoo tour from a planet zoo builder perspective.
If you go to the netherlands, you 100% need to go to rotterdam zoo, and to burgers zoo in arnhem. They have a lot of amazing indoor habitats/area's, manatees and the biggest coral reef in europe. They also have a great location in the middle of a forest. I would love to see you go there!
Leipzig zoo is kind of iconic in Germany (they've got more than 1000 episodes worth of a tv series) and of course Berlin zoo would be awesome, just because Giant Pandas (also i really like the way they integrated the zoo and nature into the gigantic city around) also love the habitat you build this episode, very pretty as always
Leipzig is an amazing zoo and also very "themey", which i personally love but i would recommend the Berlin Tierpark over the Berlin Zoo, it is more spacious and is very renown for its hoofstock breeding and it has a nice little palace on its grounds, if you have had enough zoo-stuff after the day. Or you check out both, if you have the time.
If you absolutely have to visit the Berlin Zoo (Spoiler alert: it's terrible), please visit the Tierpark Berlin, too. @RalavomWalde is absolutely right!
This is fantastic. I have such a long way to go before my habitats look anything like this, but you're such an inspiration! I follow a few Planet Zoo RUclipsrs, and y'all all are incredible. Keep up the great work! I hope some of this is in the Steam workshop 😅
I can definitely see the London Zoo influence - very nice! The only zoo in mainland Europe I've been to is Zoo Praha, which I'd really recommend if you're heading anywhere in that direction - been wanting to make a return trip myself for ages. Take your walking boots though - I thought Colchester was hilly, but Praha is something else...
visit Kolmården in Sweden. Largest Zoo of the Nordics . Tigers in Swedish surroundins and elephants getting daily walks outside the Zoo in the forrest around the Zoo. Sadly a keeper died in the wolf habitat couple of years ago before that you could pay for visiting the wolfs and 'cuddle' with them. Happy I did that before the accident. Great Swedisg enviroment!
I can recommend Kolmården in Sweden. Especially cool if you choose the Safari Camp that lets you spend the night in Safari tents inside the park, right next to the savannah. It was an awesome experience, and we got to visit both giraffs and lions during closed hours.
Oh, a second more niche recommendation for a zoo: Wildpark Feldkirch (in Feldkirch, Austria, near Liechtenstein). It's not spectaculair because of its exotic animals... in fact it is spectaculair because of it's lack of exotic animals! It houses only animals that can be found in the temporal forests of Europe and it's mountains. It's also set up as a "Naturerlebnis", a nature experience, with the park being mostly forest with relatively long paths between habitats, making it not just a zoo, but a nice day of walking in a forest as well. I genuinely love these German style of zoos that showcase the beauty of Europe. It makes you appreciate your own continent a lot more. A small anecdote. When I visited Wildpark Feldkirch we visited the wolves just as they did the monthly air horn siren test (we didn't know that beforehand); it turned in an awesome show as the wolves joined the sirens with their howling and continued for a while after the siren had already ended. Hearing so many wolves howl from so close is an almost overwhelming experience
Leipzig zoo is incredible, possibly the most American style zoo in Europe. You'd live exhibits like Gondwanaland, Africa and Pongoland. Truly the best day I've ever had in a zoo. Berlin is the zoo capital of Europe. The zoo and aquarium are truly phenomenal and a masterclass in how to integrate historic building and modern husbandry in stunning parkland (I wish London zoo was like Berlin). And then the tierpark is meant to have a very interesting collection

Great ZOO, but I would understand if you cannot visit it because Slovenia is pretty far inland and it’s not a really famous ZOO so I would understand if it’s not that worth to visit.
You should definitely check out Hagenbecks Tierpark in Hamburg. It was the first Zoo with hidden fences. And especially the Eismeer ( a complex of Arctic animal habitats ) is iconic.
1) you should definitely upload this habitat to the workshop and the eventual fossa habitat afterwards 2) if you’re looking for some inspiration for exhibits, I highly recommend either the Bronx Zoo or the Smithsonian Zoo because a lot of their indoor exhibits are absolutely stunning, such as the Madagascar House or the Small Animal building

In terms of European zoo's I'd like to see you go to, I would suggest Copenhagen Zoo, went there with my parents for my birthday last year and it was absolutely phenomenal.
Im from the Netherlands and I know that you already have been to Artis and Blijdorp. Those are definetly the biggest and well known zoo's in the Netherlands. But Amersfoort zoo is a fun zoo as well. Nothing crazy compared too artis and blijdorp, but if you are planning on visiting the Netherlands again thats the zoo i recommend to check out.
Awesome habitat!!! Please go to Denmark. Ree Park is so cool! And take the land rover trip AND the train ride. Or Aalborg Zoo. It has a great lion and tiger habitats.
The Zoo in Leipzig, Germany (Zoo Leipzig) is a very nice Zoo. I can very much recommend visiting it. I've been there a bunch of times and always had a great experience.
Hi ZSH! Love your videos and the fossa is my favorite animal and I can’t wait for next week!! I just wanted to ask you if you could make an overpass in the exhibit as I think it would be an awesome feature! Also I would like to see you go to Berlin zoo if you are in Europe, I have heard it’s really cool and would love to go there someday!
Thanks! I'm just finishing building it now so there won't be an overpass I'm afraid, no room for it! I would love to go to Berlin Zoo! I'll put it on the list!
I know im super late to the party but loving this series, kinda glad im watching it late so i can binge it all without waiting. One question i do have is do you over plant vs what rhe animals want? Your habitats are always so lush but many animals hate having more than 2 blades of grass
Glad you're enjoiying it! I tend to follow the animals preferences as much as possible and then ignore them to get it looking good. Visuals are more important to me as IRL the animals don't care about plants as much as they do in PZ
Burgers Zoo in Arnhem is really nice and should provide a lot of inspiration. They have a huge jungle biome you can walk through where animals (birds, frogs, butterflies) live freely as well as enclosures. It connect to the dessert biome through a mine like tunnel with animal exhibits. lastly there is a huge waterworld where you start at beach level and descent deeper into the the sea until sharks and other species swim over you. Besides that they also have the standard zoo enclosures.
u can make holes for climeable animals way smaller than there hitbox if u make them go through the hole via the climable piece. i got capuccin monkey throuhg a small hole in my zoo with that tricks through
They have the same idea at the lemur walk through at the Isle of Wight Zoo, now called Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. The path is lower than the lemur area so they are nearly at eye level, it’s a great idea.
I was about to suggest Norden's ark! I really love all the big cat exhibits. There was also an intresting paper I found that researched the olfactory enrichment in snow leopards. The sample size was small at only 2 specimens, but it found that both largely enjoyed the scent of cinnamon the most out of 4 spices and catnip. It's certainly something worth to look into on a larger scale
i love how much attention to detail you put into specifically the real life facts that dont always apply to the game. like deciding not to put the red-ruffed lemurs in because of their aggression. it makes the zoo feel so much more alive and realistic.
You always know Saturday is the best!
❤
I love this so much, that final shot where you're zooming out from the forage enrichment as the lemurs are congregating around it was amazing! Glad they have a home in SBZ after the lemur facility shut down :)
Haha thanks Sparrow!
The best part of the week for sure!
Aw thank you!
for sure

I really love how much research you do about the animals, bevor starting to build. Great video as always.

Wow, I watched the whole SBZ series in a row and now I actually have to wait for a new episode, lol... This zoo is amazing!
Hah good work! Glad you're enjoying it!
Burgers zoo in the Netherlands is my favorite zoo! You could probably do up some great inspiration from the varying areas! Great video as always!
Thanks!
You should definitely visit Pairi Daiza! I have heard Kölner zoo is also good but I have never been there. In the Netherlands, Beekse Bergen is a fun zoo. It is the first zoo I have ever been too. Pairi Daiza is not only great because of the animals but also by integrating the existing area and some other special architectural buildings/habitats

You could go to the Leipzig zoo in Germany which is one of my personal favorites. The Gondwanaland exhibit is breathtaking and a wonderful experience
Ooh I'd forgotten about Gondwanaland, that was an influence on The Islands and the Tropics House.
Yay! I love lemurs! My favorite lemur is between the two you’ve included in the video!

I asked the person who was in Berlin with me and we actually were in the Tierpark, so sorry for saying the wrong thing the first time
1:58 omg that’s my local zoo !!
My favorite PZ builder! You've given me so many ideas for when I start playing on console next week. Can't wait
Aw thanks!
hey Belgian man here. I went a week ago to Pairi Daiza. For the moment its the best looking zoo in Europe
Would love for you to visit Rotterdam/Blijdorp, as well as Burgers and Pairi Daiza! Amazing episode, can't wait for next week!
Thanks for the suggestions!
Great Video Once Again! Can't wait for the fossa next week!
Thanks! Maybe I’m building a separate Red Ruffed Lemur habitat 😆
Great Choice! Yet fossa's will add more Madagascar variety to the area. Are they gonna come to the zoo eventually? @@ZSHplays

@@ZSHplays thank you 🥳
These habitats are getting better and better 🎉
Thanks!

I love this zoo so much can't wait to try to build my own zoos
Thanks!
visit Kolmården in Sweden.
Yes I’ve seen it before, would love to go!
Nice as always! I wish I could visit London zoo one day. I can't wait for your visit and to hear your comment son the new reptile house!
Me too!
I can recommend Kolmården in Sweden. Especially cool if you choose the Safari Camp that lets you spend the night in Safari tents inside the park, right next to the savannah. It was an awesome experience, and we got to visit both giraffs and lions during closed hours.

Vienna zoo is really good to visit!!!
Thanks for the suggestion! That is on my list!
so good!
NGL YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION!
Aw! Thanks!
I can already tell this is going to be great!
Haha thanks!
just finished watching and that was one of the best videos ever I need to make something like that in planet zoo
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

I know it is probably lesser known and has less animals than other major zoos in bigger cities but Slovenia’s Ljubljana ZOO is great imo. It’s pretty big and has a wide variety of animals. It is minimally industrial and is literally built on a small hill so it’s like taking a hike. It has lots of animals from the area and also from other parts of the world. I’ve been to it countless times and it’s great. I fed the giraffes once, the keepers are really friendly and definitely know their stuff. Great ZOO, but I would understand if you cannot visit it because Slovenia is pretty far inland and it’s not a really famous ZOO so I would understand if it’s not that worth to visit.
I definetly think less popular zoo's are worth to consider!
Thanks for the suggestion!
You should definitely check out Hagenbecks Tierpark in Hamburg. It was the first Zoo with hidden fences. And especially the Eismeer ( a complex of Arctic animal habitats ) is iconic.
Yeh definitely somewhere I want to see!
I'd definitely recommend the Pairi Daiza in Belgium for a zoo visit! Went there this year and it was fantastic!
Thanks for the suggestion!
1) you should definitely upload this habitat to the workshop and the eventual fossa habitat afterwards
2) if you’re looking for some inspiration for exhibits, I highly recommend either the Bronx Zoo or the Smithsonian Zoo because a lot of their indoor exhibits are absolutely stunning, such as the Madagascar House or the Small Animal building
Yes and yes!
If you are going through the Netherlands on your roadtrip, i could highly suggest visiting Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem. They have very naturalistic looking exhibits and one of the biggest natural reef aquarium in Europe
Thanks for the suggestion!
Fantastic episode as always ZSH!
Thanks Explorer!
You have to visit Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna!! It's the oldest zoo in the world (thats still operating) and it's been ranked #1 zoo in europe six times in a row. I think you would really enjoy the combination of historical and moderen elements, apart from the amazing exhibts like the new polar bear habitat or the urang utan building

Since you asked, here are my all-time favorite zoos in Switzerland (cause once you mentionned "Bois de la Bâtie" and it's next to where I live haha):
Zürich zoo
Basel zoo
Zoo de la Garenne (indigenous species preservation center)
Kerzers Papilliorama
Thanks for the suggestions!
Zurich zoo is indeed really nice to visit!
Hi! You could add the Fossa to your Madagascar area as they are from their as well 😊
Maybe that's next week's animal 😁
If you happen to go to Germany, I highly recommend the Zoo in Leipzig!
Their rainforest dome is beautiful.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Beauval park in France comes to mind but if I had to recommend a french zoo, I would say Bioparc of Doué la Fontaine. It's built in what used to be a former quarry which gives it a really unique look. It's maybe not the most exciting animal roster but it has what I think one of the biggest aviary in europe. And it's certified both EAZA and WAZA!
Thanks for the suggestions! I actually based the rows of dead trees in the Desert House on Doue la Fontaine!
Your so good at building every time i go on my pc i think that i'm gonna build a masterpeace afterlike 6 hourse i havent started with the animals😂
It normally takes me 6-10 hours to do the build before I get to the animals 😁
Zoo parc de Beauval in France is a really interesting and fantastic zoo to go, the foliage there is really nice and the exhibits are really exquisite.
Thanks for the suggestion!
In France the "Zoo de Beauval" is one of the bests in Europe and the "Zoo de Vincennes" next to Paris is great. Love your videos
Thanks!
You should really go to Wildlands adventure zoo Emmen. My grandparents lived in Emmen and I went there allot before they sadly passed away!! Its a really beautifull zoo with lots of great habitats!!
Thanks for the suggestion! I used one of their habitats in the Moonlight World. I'm sorry about your grandparents, my gran died last month ❤
I would recommend the Zoo de Beauval which is a zoo in France and it is very beautiful. You can even stay overnight in different lodges dotted around the zoo. I would recommend staying 2 days because it is hard to explore n just one day.
Had a lot of recommends for this one, thanks!
I will, of course, have to suggest blijdorp! I went in February of last year and it was amazing, I think you might like the red panda habitat
Thanks for the suggestion!
Zurich Zoo. I've never been there, but I've always wanted to see their elephant house. It's some piece of beautiful architecture.
Thanks for the recommendation!
In terms of European zoo's I'd like to see you go to, I would suggest Copenhagen Zoo, went there with my parents for my birthday last year and it was absolutely phenomenal.

Awesome habitat!!!
Please go to Denmark. Ree Park is so cool! And take the land rover trip AND the train ride. Or Aalborg Zoo. It has a great lion and tiger habitats.
Thanks for the suggestions! I used Ree Park as inspo for the Cheetahs in Tekton Zoo, would love to go!
@@ZSHplays i know! It was an awesome build! Especially the bait-pull-system. 😄
The Zoo in Leipzig, Germany (Zoo Leipzig) is a very nice Zoo. I can very much recommend visiting it. I've been there a bunch of times and always had a great experience.
Thanks for the suggestion!
paira daiza in belgium is highly recommended, its actually one of the best zoos i have ever been to!
Thanks for the recommendation!
Wildlands, also its called the netherlands not holland.
Holland is two provinces, north and south holland.
We refer to the whole country as Holland in the UK. Wildlands has some great theming!
Prague Zoo is very pretty and it has its own magic
Thanks for the recommendation!
Oklahoma City Zoo is very good. The best zoo I've been to. They have a really cool "big cat forest" and is the home to North America's oldest rhino.
Visuals are more important to me as IRL the animals don't care about plants as much as they do in PZ
this is just amazing, great content
Thanks!
I Love beekse Bergen myself, it’s near Tilburg in the Netherlands
Thanks for the suggestion! I feel like I know it after Goron's recreation!
maybe you could visit Randers regnskov or Ree park and there both in denmark
Thanks for the suggestions!
This is vary good I love watching your videos
Glad you like them!
I really want them to add more lemurs
Always happy to see more Lemurs.
Kolmården in Sweden is great! There is a zipline over most African animals.
Thanks for the recommendation! That sounds awesome!
Sounds amazing!
U should definetly visit the Zoo Schönbrunn in Vienna. Its one of the oldest in the world.
Thanks for the suggestion!
The Apenheul in Apeldoorn is really nice. Mostly monkeys and apes, but an absolute lot of them. That's in the Netherlands by the way.
Thanks for the recommendation!
u can make holes for climeable animals way smaller than there hitbox if u make them go through the hole via the climable piece. i got capuccin monkey throuhg a small hole in my zoo with that tricks through
Nice! I tried that with siamang but couldn’t get it to work!
I don't know if you've ever been, but Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem is a really spectacular zoo that's worth checking out on a European zoo trip!
Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't been
They have the same idea at the lemur walk through at the Isle of Wight Zoo, now called Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. The path is lower than the lemur area so they are nearly at eye level, it’s a great idea.
Sounds good!
Is that their new eco dome thingy?
Must get back there to see it!
@@user-ot4wm2fh8g yeah 😊
Yay, my weekly dose of ZSHplays
Hope you liked it!
I think you should go to the Beekse Bergen It's an old lion zoo Now it's the biggest zoo of the Benelux and there are three new elephants
Thanks for the recommendation!
You should visit Nordens Ark witch is a zoo in Sweden that only holds endangered animals to preserve them and rehabilitate them back into the wild
Thanks for the suggestion!
Ring tailed lemurs are great it just makes me think of king Julian
Indeed!
Lemurs started my Planet Zoo Hype. Theres no way I wonßt click on a Lemur build.
Haha hi Rudi! Nice to see you 😁 I loved your half dome
Pairi Daiza, Prague zoo, Ostrava zoo, Cabarceno and Tiergarten Schönbrunn you should consider :)
Wow! Thanks for the list!
You must go to Blijdorp it has beautifal habitats especially the red panda habitat its in Rotterdam in the Netherlands
Thanks for the suggestion! I will have to apologise for my pronunciation if I visit 😆
Omg, it seems to be that you have a lot zoos to visit :-)
Haha! 😆
Day 350 of asking for a polar bear habitat
I reckon only another 60 or so days of asking now 😆
that would be awesome
@@ZSHplaysI will have to wait for another 2 months! I guess my doctor is write for calling me patient!😂
I’m conflicted on polar bears. Love seeing videos on them in this game but they really do not belong in zoos IRL.
😂😂
Zurich zoo in switzerland is a really nice adventure in my opinion :)
Thanks for the recommendation!
The Zoo in Leipzig, Germany is great.
Would love to hear what you think about the so called Gondwanaland there!
Thanks for the suggestion! I used Gondwanaland as inspo for the tropics house!
As a suggestion, I always loved the ant-eater at schönbrunn as a kid.
Anteater is one of my potential space-filler animals actually so maybe one day...
